July 2013[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Insulam Simia. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Lou Jiwei, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Insulam Simia (talk/contribs) 14:36, 19 July 2013 (UTC)

Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to Lou Jiwei. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Jschnur (talk) 14:39, 19 July 2013 (UTC)

Today's edits[edit]

Hi JBC and welcome to WP. However I have reverted a number of your edits because you are embedding URL's with in words of sentences. This is not permitted on WP. If you are intending to provide citations for the text you are adding then please put the citations at the end of the sentence in a format similar to this:

    • author's last name, first name (date of article or book publication date) title of publication, [ URL to web site if avaialable], today's date

Please see WP:CITE for more info or maybe there is an automated tool within the Visual Editor system you are using. Thanks, -- KeithbobTalk 17:02, 19 July 2013 (UTC)

Hi again, in biographies we use the last name only, per WP:SURNAME-- KeithbobTalk 17:11, 19 July 2013 (UTC) WP:SURNAME. Thanks,
Hi, when referencing aiCIO in a sentence please use the abbreviation which is their brand name and corresponds to their WP article. You can also put it in [brackets] and it will come out like this: aiCIO. Thanks.-- KeithbobTalk 17:13, 19 July 2013 (UTC)
Also when adding awards please don't add them to the lead paragraph of a bio. The lead paragraph is a summary of the entire article per WP:LEAD and usually not a place for details about awards. Best, -- KeithbobTalk 17:53, 19 July 2013 (UTC)
