[edit]

Hello. Regarding these recent edits of yours [1], [2], I noticed you've been attempting to add items directly to a category page.

In Wikipedia, we do not add articles to a category by editing the category page, we add them by editing the individual articles' pages and linking the category from there. Please see Wikipedia:FAQ/Categorization#How do I add an article to a category? For newer editors, it's understandably a counter-intuitive system.

Category pages are not intended to be exhaustive lists. In fact, they are not really lists at all, in the sense they only display subjects with Wikipedia pages. They are navigation aids; merely groupings of related, existing English Wikipedia pages.

To categorize an article, first make sure it actually belongs to the category. Then, go to the article you wish to categorize and add the category at the bottom of the page with the other categories. For instructions on how to do this using VisualEditor, see Help:VisualEditor § Editing categories.

For further detailed information, see Help:Category and Wikipedia:Categorization. Let me know if you need any assistance or have any questions. Cheers! --DB1729talk 15:13, 19 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
