Tom Longboat and the Golden Age of Distance Running needs to be merged with Tom Longboat (no point having two articles). I propose moving the the first article to Tom Longboat and then adding any additional material from the replaced article. If I don't hear from you in a week or so I'll assume that's OK with you. I put merge tags on the articles to see if anyone else has an opinion. John FitzGerald 20:28, 23 March 2006 (UTC)

Are you with the Longboat Roadrunners, by the way? John FitzGerald 15:10, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

I merged the articles at Tom Longboat. In the end I used the article already there as the base, because it was already wikified. Anyway, the article is fleshed out nicely now with the additional material of yours, especially the great photo. Am going to get Kidd's book and see what else I can add. Thanks for the note and for the link to the Longboat Daily Express. It's good to know his name is being commemorated. Incidentally, if you know anything about Alfred Shrubb, that's another article that could use some fleshing out. John FitzGerald 17:30, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
