Magnesium hydroxide[edit]

Please explain why you have reverted my edits on the basicity of magnesium hydroxide. The value you have restored (pKb = 2.6) is completely unsourced and does not specify what reaction it refers to: Brønsted basicity to give Mg(OH)(OH2)+ or dissociation of OH-. I have found a source which gives two values: Kb1 for dissociation from Mg(OH)2 and Kb2 for dissociation from Mg(OH)+. If this is incorrect I would like to know why. Unsourced and unexplained values are not supposed to stay in Wikipedia, especially if sources are available. Dirac66 (talk) 02:59, 7 January 2017 (UTC)

OK, thanks for reply on my talk page. It appears you hit the undo button by accident. I have now restored my edit. Dirac66 (talk) 12:07, 7 January 2017 (UTC)

Caffeine[edit]

Hello. Since you promptly reverted me without explaining why, perhaps you'll be kind enough to explain what the sentence means. RivertorchFIREWATER 06:27, 7 January 2017 (UTC)

Removal of sourced content[edit]

I have no idea what is up with this, but that reversion is unsustainable under any policy or guideline.

The fat finger excuse. My browser sometimes shifts. I thought I had caught the inadvertent rollback, but I must have missed on. My apologies. JSR (talk) 13:56, 11 January 2017 (UTC)
Understood. I've been dealing with a problematic editor on that article and am crabby. warning struck, and my apologies for that! Jytdog (talk) 14:03, 11 January 2017 (UTC)

AKD[edit]

OK, I put up a skeletal article on AKD and ASA. Please edit or leave comments so that we can get this thing to the level that it is helpful to reader. Some possible art: picture of an ASA. Most important might be a picture of the reactions of AKD and ASA with cellulose, although it is not clear if this aspect is really known. Some comment on the different ways ASA and AKDs are deployed would be appropriate. --Smokefoot (talk) 16:29, 15 January 2017 (UTC)

Weight of Fuel ?[edit]

A tank containing say 10,000L of fuel is to be lifted.

Ignoring the weight of tank itself, how heavy would the tank weigh if filled fully?

Wikipedia does not seem to say succinctly, if at all, how heavy different kinds of fuel weigh.

Can you provide these answers, for say

  • petrol (gasoline)
  • diesel fuel
  • LPG
  • etc. Tabletop (talk) 01:28, 18 January 2017 (UTC)
If you know the density, you can calculate that. The articles list density. JSR (talk) 03:05, 18 January 2017 (UTC)
