Welcome and a question[edit]

Hi -- thanks for the edits to New Worlds; it's apparent from the content of your edits that you're very knowledgeable about the period. Would you be able to provide sources for any of the new information you added? I'll check the sources already used in the article to see if any of them support the additional details (such as Smith's and Menzies' keeping the magazine under the counter). If they don't, we really have to have a source we can cite, so anything you can point to would be very helpful.

Welcome to Wikipedia, by the way; if you have any questions, let me know if I can help. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 21:52, 7 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I see you're adding more information; I hate to say this, but most of it will be removed if you don't provide sources. Wikipedia relies on secondary sources, so we need something we can cite. Please let me know if there are sources we can use for the additional material.
I also noticed you're removing some material that is sourced -- again, that will end up being returned to the article unless we can find sources that show the material is incorrect. Sources are critical to Wikipedia; we're not allowed to edit from personal knowledge or experience, since that would lead to chaos. I don't want you to waste your time making changes that will be reversed, so please give citations for this material. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 13:57, 8 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
