I've been looking all over for the last day, and I've been unable to find a concentrated community section; such as an obvious regular user forum, does one exist? If not how do I go about introducing myself to regular wikipedians, how do people gte to know me? Is randomly saying 'hi' on users talk pages acceptable.

Wikipedia does not have a forum but in the community portal and in the village pump you can find many ways to communicate with fellows wikipedians :-) --J B
