Speedy deletion nomination of Western Australia First[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

A tag has been placed on Western Australia First requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guidelines for people and for organizations. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Toddst1 (talk) 13:32, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

WA First deletion[edit]

I have left a message on TexasAndroid's page to ask him to stop deleting the WA First entry you are trying to add. I copied the message below:

You have deleted the WA First entry twice. This is a political party that has lodged a registration with the Australian Electoral Commission having attained the necessary 500 members and therefore will be contesting the next Australian Federal election. The party has gathered considerable media interest in Australia, as per this page: www.wafirst.iinet.net.au/media.htm. By visiting that page you can follow links that shows the party has been featured on national television, print and radio in Australia. In all 21 articles have been featured across a variety of Australian media over the past week. Surely this rates as of significant enough interest to have an entry in Wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.169.86.156 (talk) 14:45, 27 May 2010 (UTC)

Bread[edit]

Hi

Just a short note - because I don't think it's polite to revert established editors without a note - I removed your link because it seems to fail WP:ELNO on a couple of points. The site looks like a general discussion/forum/networking thingy to me - which is inappropriate according to that page, and it's a non-specific site linked from a specific article, which the policy doesn't like either. A lot of people will leap on the fact that it has a shop. too - which is frowned on (even though it doesn't work !!).  -  Begoon (talk) 11:28, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

Please stop adding links to Geeknights to articles[edit]

Information.svg Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. Proposed deletion of WA First[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article WA First has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unregistered minor party, as yet very little coverage that isn't WP:ONEEVENT (the mining tax). Can be recreated if they're registered.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Frickeg (talk) 08:06, 11 September 2010 (UTC)

Vending machine at Atlanta airport[edit]

Hi, I wanted to let you know that I removed the image of the vending machine at Hartfield-Atlanta airport. Was there some special significance to this machine? I couldn't see it's relevance to the article, as clearly there are millions of identical machines world wide. Wodawik (talk) 06:07, 30 July 2011 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open![edit]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Disambiguation link notification for April 22[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Malone, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Blue Streak (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:48, 22 April 2016 (UTC)
