Send Her My Love[edit]

I noticed you saw that Send Her My Love has been proposed for deletion. I have to admit, that it took me a few minutes to even remember this song. Some songs are notable enough for their own article. Like Battle Hymn of the Republic or Stand by Your Man. I'm not sure if this is. What's most important in demonstrating it is to flesh it out based on reviews and stuff. If there's not a lot of reviews out there to build an article on, then it's probably not right for an article to itself. On the other hand, I think it would be okay to add information to the album article.

For some tips on relevant Wikipedia guidelines see:

  • WP:OR, which says that articles shouldn't represent the conclusions of their authors, but rely on published information
  • WP:NPOV, which says articles shouldn't promote a certain viewpoint
So, for instance, don't say that Steve Perry is awesome, say that such-and-such critic says Steve Perry is awesome
  • And in general WP:NOT outlines what articles aren't appropriate for an encyclopedia.

Hope that was helpful to you. NickelShoe (Talk) 16:54, 31 March 2006 (UTC)

You learn something new every day. I found specific guidelines about songs. Check 'em out. If this song meets these guidelines, improve the article to make that clear and you can remove the prod notice yourself. See Wikipedia:Notability_(Songs). NickelShoe (Talk) 17:14, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
