National Capital Wing Civil Air Patrol[edit]

Hello. I wanted to let you know why I removed the links to future squadron pages in the National Capital Wing page. Due to Wikipedia's policy on notability, it is likely that any articles published on such a small, local chapter of an organization like the Civil Air Patrol would be deleted. Recently, a page for the New York City Group got deleted for being too specific for a general encyclopedia like Wikipedia (and if my understanding of the Civil Air Patrol is right, a group contains multiple squadrons), so I'm afraid pages for even more localized organizational levels would also be deleted. There was even a debate as to whether each state should be allowed to have their own page.

If you want to publish articles about individual squadrons (which I think is a noble goal), a better place to do it might be through the Civil Air Patrol wiki available through Wikia. I've glanced at it and it looks like that's exactly the kind of help they could use. If you have any questions, please let me know. Et0048 (talk) 21:13, 7 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Why have you removed half a paragraph in this article. Your edit summary says "slightly reworked" which makes it sound like an accidental deletion, especially as you removed the paragraph citation as well. Having said that, the text you removed was not very understandable and the source does not seem to cover it. So perhaps all that needs doing is that the citation is reinstated.
