Saeed Aasi[edit]

I just feel you might have some personal issues with the article; why are you deleting the contents everything is provided with references and have valid links. Please stop playing around. Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shahidaasi (talkcontribs) 13:52, 14 September 2014 (UTC)

Please do not teach me, you are breaching the wiki-rules, some times as IP addresses and sometimes sock puppetry, you are adding the WP:Original research and WP:Promotional content without citing WP:Reliable sources. What you are providing links of Youtube, daily Motion, and subject's own website that are not the reliable sources. I warn you, stop adding original research content, if you remain reverting good faith edits, you will be blocked from editing. I hope this helps. Justice007 (talk) 14:33, 14 September 2014 (UTC)

I'm not teaching you but you are showing your personal hate and referring the contents to Unreliable. The videos on YouTube and daily motion are not uploaded by me or the subject. And apart from personal website the link of Daily Nawa-i-Waqt is provided which is more than enough as a reliable source if you just Google the name Saeed Aasi you will find dozens of reliable links. And there is not a single word which seems like any promotion I'm not selling any product here so open your eyes and if you still not willing to accept the fact just mention your real name and I will send you full authentic and reliable source which you can never deny. Mr. Justice, Rather than giving the funny names to article section of Muhammad Iqbal you, kindly do some constructive work to develop the article. If you keep on reverting my constructive edits, You will leave no option for me rather than take your case to Wikipedia:RFC or WP:DRN, where you will be stopped from editing on particular or WP articles until you develop your skills, and the entire article of Muhammad Iqbal will be tagged with multiple remarks if the case reaches at Wikipedia:RFC or WP:DRN, and before reaching Wikipedia:RFC or WP:DRN, I supposed to warn you for the consequences of it, rest is upto you. Do not involve in edit warring[edit]

Do not apply blogs as a Source.[edit]

In your recent edits at Tarana-e-Milli, you had applied a blog as an source here, which will put the article in more trouble. Disambiguation link notification for June 28[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Nazia Iqbal, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sharjah (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Please will you explain why you have reverted my edits to this article. If you fail to do so and revert my next edit I will report you to administration. 81.106.127.14 (talk) 22:43, 1 July 2012 (UTC)

  • Because you added the content without providing reliable sources, and removal of anything needs sources too,and all changes should be first discussed on the talk page of the article, not on my talk page. Thanks. Justice007 (talk) 09:18, 2 July 2012 (UTC)

Well, The Oxford English Dictionary is the most authoritative dictionary of the English language. There simply is not a more reliable source in existence. Secondly, your claim that any change to an article must be discussed on the article's talk page is also untrue. This would be an extremely laborious protocol would it be wikipedia policy. Fortunately no such policy exists. 81.106.127.14 (talk) 17:25, 2 July 2012 (UTC)

Edit warring[edit]

Hey, you are involving in edit warring, by reverting poets name here, Kindly clear your misunderstanding that this is a list of poets, but not the list of poets who have article on WP. Please self revert your edit, rather than involving in edit warring. lastly do maintain the adequate and mannerism in your edit summary. :)--Omer123hussain (talk) 23:24, 13 July 2012 (UTC)

  • I think you need rest, on wikipedia, everthing should be according to wiki rules, and stop posting "Edit warring",that is not, you cannot add the red links, those do not have the notability.Justice007 (talk) 23:31, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
Omer you are mistaken. The talk page clearly prohibits red links, as well as the hidden comments in the list--which you had to have seen. Omer: if you want to add red links you must gain consensus on talk first. Justice: just because someone is ignoring consensus and you know they're ignoring consensus and I know they're ignoring consensus is not a justification for edit warring. Put a warning on their talk, post a message on WPIndia, or go to ANI to report disruptive editing. I'm not watching that article--but feel free to drop a note if there's any more trouble. – Lionel (talk) 02:09, 14 July 2012 (UTC)

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── (Edit conflict):* This is not a first time, that kind of "Edit warring", I am receiving from him every time, which I am ignoring of his lack of the wiki-knowledge. Thank you for your notice of that disruptive behaviour.Justice007 (talk) 09:27, 14 July 2012 (UTC)

@Justice stop hounding on editors, and I don't think but I believe that you need a complete rest forever :)
@Justice If it is redlink, remove the link, do not revert the work, And one more advice to you, do some research before blindly reverting any edit.
@ Lionelt, you are mistaken, Is it better to revert or to develop the contents? My intention was not to make it a redlink but to correct and restore that poet with reliable sources 1, 2, and before I could work it out, The reverting editor (Justice) jumped in between like an illiterate and without discussing or trying to know my cause, started edit warring, before I could complete the work.
@ Lionelt, I think you missed to read this text on article, according to which I wanted to apply sources, any way If you are talking about this consensus read it properly, the editors agreed for the redlinks if it is a notable poet based on this Wikipedia:REDLINK#When to create red links. :)--Omer123hussain (talk) 09:08, 14 July 2012 (UTC)
  • Are you still confused?, I reverted only red link, this one. And I received directly "Edit warring" notice from you while first you undid my legitimate edit, that I reverted.Justice007 (talk) 09:40, 14 July 2012 (UTC)
You reverted simple text, and You are arguing that you reverted REDLINK, (see your brilliant work once again, this one what you placed above), Really it proofs what you are ??? :)
Well if you want details see below :),
  •  :: I ( Omer123hussain ) made a edit at 22:57, 13 July 2012.
  •  :: and you ( Justice007) reverted that edit at 22:59, 13 July 2012.
  •  :: Before I could apply reliable source, with in difference of 2 minutes of my edit you reverted it, is it not edit warring???
Please stop playing on WP, I am really fed up with your non-scene, false blaming and edit warring. and as I advices you above, Please please please do some research before blindly reverting any edit. It is not you but me who is ignoring your edit warring. But this is last time, next time If you blame it will be reported further.
* NOTE: Seen you edit once again what you reverted REDLINK or Simple text, okay I will link it for you here. :)--Omer123hussain (talk) 10:53, 14 July 2012 (UTC)
  • You are realy confused, before reverting I wikified the name, that was red, and it is the name of author or poet but not text, red links or black links have not notability. I am very cool person, I am here to help everyone and improving and expanding the articles. Please think twice before writing or speaking your views.Thanks.Justice007 (talk) 13:46, 14 July 2012 (UTC)
No one bothers if you are cool or what ever, just discuss according to WP policy, and please as I told you make it your last excuse. And if you do not understand any thing please feel free to discuss. Regards :) --Omer123hussain (talk) 21:08, 14 July 2012 (UTC)

Rebecca Hammond Lard[edit]

Was curious as to how/how often the wiki-class on articles is checked/changed. I was thinking that this article was getting close to a C-class, but it is still a Stub? --David Holmer (talk) 07:08, 17 July 2012 (UTC)

Justice, the major edit changes were made for the assessment from Stub class to Class-C. Please don't undo... at least discuss before changing it back, it's scheduled for assessment. Thanks. --David Holmer (talk) 10:23, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
  • Redundant content does not make klass-C, edits should be per policies and guidelines of the wikipedia.Justice007 (talk) 10:29, 17 July 2012 (UTC)

It is NOT redundant... the info is different. It is a summary look at Walt Whitman PLEASE!--David Holmer (talk) 10:33, 17 July 2012 (UTC) Justice, Why are you NOT communicating with me? Why don't you look at the article I suggested? Why don't you want this article to improve? Please, TALK TO ME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! --David Holmer (talk) 10:37, 17 July 2012 (UTC)

  • * All your version is redundant, do not spoil the article, you do not own it, and cannot edit as you want or like to see it.Justice007 (talk) 10:42, 17 July 2012 (UTC)

YOU DONT OWN IT EITHER... Gillaume was assessing it for C-class until you started undoing all the work of improvement!--David Holmer (talk) 10:45, 17 July 2012 (UTC) You are suppose to IMPROVE the article NOT maintain it at STUB-CLASS !!!--David Holmer (talk) 10:47, 17 July 2012 (UTC)

  • * Adding multiple sections with redundant content do not make it klass-C, I do not think Gillaume will do that. I do not own it too, but you created the article, leave it to others if you cannot expand and improve it properly.Justice007 (talk) 10:54, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
I am NOT going to argue with you, I will ask Guillaume to step in and compare both edits, and will abide by his decision--David Holmer (talk) 11:02, 17 July 2012 (UTC)

I'm done with Wikipedia. Spangle has ruined Rebecca Lard... sounds like sh!t because he can't speak English and shouldn't be working on an English site. I am tired of having to argue and explain proper English to people who are too lazy to put forth the effort to listen or learn how to speak it properly. Congrats on the saving of Dunes Review. Please[edit]

Explain how you got to this article and why you reverted me. Darkness Shines (talk) 18:56, 4 August 2012 (UTC)

  • I have nearly 2000 pages to my watch list, especially Pakistan related articles, is it objectionable?. I undid your reverting because of illegitimate revertion, while there is reliable source available.I hope this helps. Justice007 (talk) 19:07, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
You have never edited said article with this account before, how does it come to be on your watchlist? Darkness Shines (talk) 19:09, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
  • Yes I never edited that, but well I watch every time all edits all of editors who contribute the Pakistan and India related articles, where I think, is appropriate to contribute, I do without any hesitation, assuming of course good faith.Justice007 (talk) 19:27, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
  • More further, I patrol all new pages and recent edits or changes too.Where I find illegitimacy, I go there with no problems, only for fairness.Justice007 (talk) 19:36, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
Bull, it is not possible to watch all edits by all editors in this topic area, especially as you have never been to this article before under this account. Given there has been a fair few edit wars on it since you joined Wikipedia it strikes me as strange you should suddenly turn up now. Please disclose any account you used previously with which you edited this article. Darkness Shines (talk) 19:45, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
Further, to say you saw this on RC rings hollow. Your contributions history shows no evidence of an active RC patrol, nor could you have seen that edit fully three quarters of an hour after I made it on RC, it would have dropped off the list. Darkness Shines (talk) 19:49, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
  • Don't be suspisious, I patrol all pages thoroughly that I have on my watch list,or I glance at. It is not necessary to go everywhere, but you must know every editor has right to be bold to edit everywhere, there are no any restrictions, regulations and limitations about, whether to do or not. If you have any concerns relating that, please go to file at proper notice board rather than wasting my time that I can use to improve and expand other articles.I have replied you in very clear way, if you don't believe me that is your matter not mine. I hope this is enough to help you. Thanks. Justice007 (talk) 22:24, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
Thank you for not even remotely responding to my questions. All you have managed with your prevarication is to ensure that you are in fact a sock or a rather unfortunate meatpuppet. Darkness Shines (talk) 23:45, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
  • Justice should this persist, take it up to ANI. You might not be aware, but calling established editors a sock is a personal attack and is blockable, esp for some one with the history like DS. You don't have to explain anything to another editor on how you get to another articles. Stalking is only brought into account when the two editors have a history of disputes or when you have a pattern of appearing at new articles one editor edits. --lTopGunl (talk) 17:41, 6 August 2012 (UTC)
  • Thanks TopGun, you are doing best contributions to wikipedia, especially Pakistan and India related articles, my watch list shows all activities of users/editors, who are added to my list. I have replied on the talk page of Anti-Pakistan sentiment. Justice007 (talk) 00:14, 7 August 2012 (UTC)

Hi[edit]

Hi User, you have reverted my work (rather than discussing it on the talk page) with some abusive and humiliating sort of edit summary.

  • Rather than involving in edit warring, I ask you to justify your revert.
  • What made you to revert the work rather than discussing it?
  • I ask you to justify your accusation : You are here again for disruptive editing which you commented in your edit summary.
  • Last but not least, Avoid personal attacks. :)--Omer123hussain (talk) 00:55, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
Omer, I found nothing in WP:MOS to substantiate your position. However WP:IC says "Wikipedia does not have a '"one inline citation per sentence" or "one citation per paragraph"' rule." That said, it is always best to discuss issues on the talk page. And Justice, it's always better to talk about the edit, not the editor. Hope this helps! – Lionel (talk) 01:24, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
@Lionelt; I clearly mention c/e (copy editing), any way what is the logic of repeating same single source 3 times in the two line sentence? and abusing/discriminating the editors through edit summaries, without discussing or bothering to discuss. I've been working on a number of India related articles, and have recently updated and improved the article on P.K. Kaul. Would appreciate it if you could take a look and leave your comments on the talk page on how it may be further improved. Any edits and modifications/improvements to the article would be most welcome. I am still looking for a free image to post on Pratap Kishen Kauls wiki page. Any help in this regard would also be welcome. Thanks. -Ambar (talk) 02:57, 9 August 2012 (UTC)

Muhammad Iqbal Page[edit]

Dear Justice 007, Not sure why you revert my edit. Iqbal is known as the 'Poet of the East' only among the Urdu-Hindi speakers. Arabs, Farsi-speakers, Chinese, and other Eastern linguistic groups have no clue Iqbal is being hailed as the 'Poet of the East' by the Urdu speakers. Please provide references showing other linguistic groups calling Muhammad Iqbal the 'Poet of the East', if you really have such a belief. warm regards, Cemendtaur — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cemendtaur (talkcontribs) 14:26, 9 August 2012 (UTC)

  • Source 9 states only Poet of East, we have to follow that, not personal view point or description in this regard that you are doing,I have also replied you on the talk page of Muhammad Iqbal. May I ask you why you are especially interested to make him limited??.Justice007 (talk) 14:44, 9 August 2012 (UTC)

Malik Ram[edit]

Malik Ram's surname is Baveja and not Ram; Ram is part of his first name; he is to be addressed as Malik Ram. Kindly restore to Malik Ram from Ram. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Soni Ruchi (talkcontribs) 03:45, 10 August 2012 (UTC)

  • I know, and personally I have no problem what should be the name, our subject of area uses the names differently, but I change the name according to wiki rule WP:surname, about same problem I had once with an editor clashing arguments, because I had same idea that you have now. I am going to ask him for more clarity of the policy, may be we find some solution in this regard.Justice007 (talk) 18:00, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
  • Malik Ram was always known as Malik Ram in the literary world, not Malik and not Ram. A lot of people in India have Ram as part of their given first name e.g. |Jagjivan Ram (called Jagjivan Ran and not Ram). In fact, even Malik Ram's mother always called him Malik Ram, according to a biography I have read and never Malik or Ram. Malik Ram is listed under M in official literary lists and library catalogues. No one has heard of him as Malik, the Urdu scholar or Ram, the Urdu writer. He is always called Malik Ram. I agree with Soni Ruchi.
In this interview he gave, the interviewers call him Malik Ram and, having read the WP guidelines regarding usage of names, Malik Ram appears to be appropriate.

  • Yes dear, I know, just wait,I have posted my comment, lets see what is answer?.Justice007 (talk) 19:24, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
  • Thanks for your efforts. I have had a look and don't agree. The WP guidelines say:
"People who are best known by a pseudonym should be subsequently referred to by their pseudonymous surnames, unless they do not include a recognizable surname in the pseudonym (i.e. Madonna, Snoop Dogg, The Edge), in which case the whole pseudonym is used."
Malik Ram is actually one name. Ram, as Soni Ruchi, who created the article, and I have pointed out, is not his surname. Malik Ram should be regarded as one pseudonymous name in this case, according to the guidelines. I consider the remark about the number of edits one has made facetious. Quality not quantity is what matters when editing. I don't think you yourself have to change names elsewhere if you change this!--Zananiri (talk) 21:21, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
  • I realy do not know any thing other than that, if you think Malik Ram is one name then go ahead and revert that, I will not object, but do not know about other editors what they think. Cheers.Justice007 (talk) 21:54, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
  • Thanks. Will do so some time next week, as I am away for a few days. Perhaps Soni Ruchi can do it, if she sees this. Also, do we still need the tag you added yesterday, as all the reflinks have been edited and refined since you posted it?--Zananiri (talk) 22:08, 10 August 2012 (UTC)

Hi there,

Thank you for helping me out with Melis's page. I don't know how to add the citation for her paper. BLP sources[edit]

Hi, Justice007. I noticed you reverted my edit to Joseph Noiret, stating in your edit summary, "Of course BLP sources, it is bio article". However, according to Template:BLP sources, "In non-BLP articles that require additional sources, the refimprove template should be used instead." As Noiret is not living, shouldn't refimprove be used? HueSatLum 21:05, 18 August 2012 (UTC)

Citation needed templates[edit]

Dear user:Justice007, I for one find it very helpful, in an article that has a template at the top indicating a lack of reliable sources, to see where other editors have recommended the references should be added. I'm sure this helps others aside from me. I often then try to find references to replace the templates. Of course, I also do so regardless of existing templates, but I do find it helpful if others have marked the path (so to speak). Anyway, these are just my thoughts. I hope you don't mind me adding them here. Keep up the great work. Best wishes, George Custer's Sabre (talk) 15:20, 23 August 2012 (UTC)

Yusuf Estes[edit]

Dear User:Justice007, I hope you are well. I feel powerless to prevent the vandalism occuring on the Yusuf Estes page. An editor -- User:Muslim Online -- repeatedly posts unreferenced and clearly partisan POV material that violates WP:BLP guidelines. I could continue to revert the edits to remove this content in accordance with the ruling that "contentious material about living persons (or recently deceased) that is unsourced or poorly sourced—whether the material is negative, positive, neutral, or just questionable—should be removed immediately and without waiting for discussion", but I am afraid that my own actions might be misconstrued as edit warring and that I could be accused of violating Wikipedia's three-revert rules.

Please see if you can help, or at least give me some useful advice.

Thanks you and best wishes, George Custer's Sabre (talk) 20:10, 31 August 2012 (UTC)

Shafiq-ur-Rehman (humorist)[edit]

Could you please make clear your justification for moving Shafiq-ur-Rehman (humorist) to Shafiq-ur-Rahman (humorist). Just saying it's wrong is not a sufficient reason, WP:RS are required. SamuelTheGhost (talk) 15:20, 1 September 2012 (UTC)

  • Well, SamuelTheGhost, as I am belonging to that part of the world, and I am also much familair to the Urdu, Arabic and Persian languages, and its grammar. "Rahman" is an Arabic word, it pronounces 'Rahman' but not 'Rehman'. Though mostly in India and Pakistan, it is commonly wrong pronouced, and translated into incorrect spelling. Academics do not make the mistake but having poor knowledge writers do that. When I come across that kind of translated wrong spelling, I make that correct, that's all, and for that there is no need of RS. Please take a look at these correct spelling articles of the same name: Ahfaz-ur-Rahman,Hamoodur Rahman, Tariq Rahman, Rahman Syed, Bushra Rahman, Rahman Baba. If you are native speaker of English, then I can imagine, and that makes me no surprise, but if you are from there, then I will suggest you please improve your knowledge of languages. I hope this helps. Cheers.Justice007 (talk) 16:17, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
    • No I'm afraid it does not help. Editors in wikipedia are self-selected and anonymous except where they choose to identiy themselves. I have not published my qualifications, my native language, or any other languages I know. If I did publish them, other editors would still have no way of knowing whether I had told the truth about them. The only evidence acceptable under wikipedia policy is WP:RS, not personal knowedge. These considerations apply equally to me and to you. WP:RS is the only evidence we can take any notice of.
Of course I am aware that the scholarly transliteration of Arabic: الرحمن ‎ is ar-Rahman or, more carefully, ar-Raḥman, but wikipedia policy for names is to use the transliteration found in the sources, whether or not they are "correct". In the case of Shafiq-ur-Rehman, English-language sources are using the form ur-Rehman, and apparently no other, so wikipedia policy is quite clear that that is the form we should be using. SamuelTheGhost (talk) 18:26, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
  • I do not agree with you, please indicate, that where RS allow the incorrect spelling, there is also a rule WP:common sense, I do not know that we should use or not, before I go futher to discuss this issue with you, first you provide the reliable sources to support your concerns, while the article's subject has no any reliable sources to even pass the notability, I do not see and find any one there. If you are so strict and fair to the policies, you must nominate the article for deletion because it falls under the criteria for proposed deletion.Justice007 (talk) 19:10, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
Well, on a quick search I found the following three, where the first at least must count as WP:RS
There are plenty more using that spelling to sell his books. SamuelTheGhost (talk) 20:59, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
  • You even didn't bother to read the common sense, it is waste of time to search the skin of the hair. I have used my best judgment to correct the wrong translated spelling of the name, as I said you it is very common blunder in India and Pakistan, even in the media. There are many articles that need to be corrected , as I have done, Ahmed to correct Ahmad, for both wrong and correct spelling, there are reliable sources, on this point, we have to use common sense and our best judgment. What you have provided the sources, only one is reliable, and that can be use for the notability of the subject to save from deletion, other two are blogs, that are not reliable sources, I have also searched, but there are not much reliable sources, it is a great pity, that that notable and great humorist has no reliable sources?. As you provided, here are from me too, with correct spelling this and that. Again the main purpose is to the correct and best judgment that I have done.Hope this helps. Justice007 (talk) 22:39, 1 September 2012 (UTC)

Note

I have moved the discussion from my talk page to relevant talk page of the article. Please discuss there. Thanks.Justice007 (talk) 22:51, 1 September 2012 (UTC)

Undeleting Nandini Sahu[edit]

I have been going through the discussion page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Nandini_Sahu) and it amuses me that the administrator Joe Decker assumes there can be only one Nandini Sahu. If someone made a wrong referencing to the TOI article, then it should not be treated as a judgment for deciding the authenticity of the page. The correct referencing to the TOI article is (http://epaper.timesofindia.com/Default/Scripting/ArticleWin.asp?From=Search&Key=TOIH/2011/01/24/32/Ar03201.xml&CollName=TOI_HYDERABAD_ARCHIVE_2009&DOCID=269529&Keyword=(%3Cmany%3E%3Cstem%3Enandini%3Cand%3E%3Cmany%3E%3Cstem%3Esahu)&skin=pastissues2&AppName=2&ViewMode=HTML). RE: Any problem[edit]

First of all, this is a stylistic issue and certainly not worth climbing the Reichstag to make my point. It's interesting that you provide Walt Whitman to make your point; that article (as best I can see from a quick look) provides either: more than one subheading per heading, or an introductory paragraph if there is only one subheading. I have no doubt that there are hundreds (I'm not sure about thousands) of articles with examples of poor style; after all, this is the encyclopedia that has no editorial oversight, that anyone can edit, and that relies on volunteers to watch over articles. It is entirely pointless to have one subheading under a heading; the heading alone is quite sufficient to help the reader navigate; subheadings allow the reader to move quickly past other information to get to the desired information; with only one subheading that is not necessary. But as I said, Wikipedia is full of articles with bad style, and I don't intend to argue or edit war over a matter when there are a lot worse problems to deal with. And BTW, as for "I don't know what you are": I have no idea what your point is with that rather bizarre comment, but it is beside the point; on Wikipedia we all have equal status; no editor has authority over content and stylistic issues that do not violate policy. Cresix (talk) 13:51, 11 September 2012 (UTC)

"But it seems to me that you have shown your authority and choice reverting me, is it not so?": No it is not so. Read WP:BRD. One does not have to be an admin or an "authority" to follow that tried and true guideline that is used thousands of time every day on Wikipedia by regular editors such as you and me. Do you honestly think that you are being singled out here? I don't know how long you've been editing Wikipedia, but let me suggest that you read WP:5P if you have not already done so.
"but be fair, access and assess that which style was/is better": Please assume good faith. I made the revert because I thought the style I was reverting to is better. But again, this is not a battle that I find worth fighting. There are many more important things to do, both on Wikipedia and in the real world. Cresix (talk) 15:30, 11 September 2012 (UTC)

Indentation[edit]

Hello. Just a quick note to suggest you be a little more careful with how you indent your talk page comments - I misread this level-one bullet point as being a level-one indentation and a reply to my comment, when I think you probably meant it as a level-three indentation and a reply to another editor. It's also normal to use colons rather than bullet points, per WP:TOPPOST. --McGeddon (talk) 11:14, 12 September 2012 (UTC)

Be bold![edit]

Re your comment at Talk:Dennis M. Lynch#Sources ... when acting as ordinary editors, administrators are just like any other editors, with no special privileges. If you see something that doesn't look right, be WP:BOLD and fix it. If it's questioned or reversed, it can always be discussed to gain consensus one way or the other from interested editors on the article talk page. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 17:32, 12 September 2012 (UTC)

Javed Malik[edit]

Hello there I see you have also been cleaning up the Javed Malik article. I have made some additions in wiki mark up, and requested some sources to support some facts so that I could help with an email I received. I will advise this new contact to read the Wikipedia:Starting an article and Wikipedia:Writing better articles as they seem to be new to wikipedia. I will also put a request on the WikiProject Biography, WikiProject Pakistan, and WikiProject Journalism talk pages to see if anyone there also wishes to help out as I am not familiar with international biographies and content to know how promotional it is. I feel the majority of sources they provided are new articles and portray a NPOV, but as I say I don't know for sure. Thank you very much for helping SriMesh | talk

Reverting my cleanup of Abhay Kumar[edit]

If you are trying to clean up this page, you are not doing a very good job of it by reverting other editors efforts at cleaning up. I would like to know in what way my removal of He travelled to Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka during his Indian Foreign Service. He has also written a paper proposing a SAARC University at Nalanda. is "illegitimate". All probationers travel to the SAARC countries as part of their training so in what way is this significant? Similarly, the alleged fact that he has written a paper proposing a SAARC university at Nalanda would be notable only if such a university has come up,not otherwise. And, as I wrote in my edit summary, this piece of information has so far only been attributed to the subject and is not independently confirmed. Sesamevoila (talk) 19:42, 21 November 2012 (UTC)

Well my job is not very good, that is only your opinion. Why do you think the passage that you removed is not significant??. The source is reliable and third party, (By Ronisha Bhattacharyya (ANI)), is it not independent, then what is your description in this regard. I hope this helps.Justice007 (talk) 20:20, 21 November 2012 (UTC)
I was only trying to remind you that wiikipedia editing is a collaborative exercise and you cannot go around describing other edits as illegitimate. I have already explained why I think the passage I removed is not significant. You have not responded to the points I raised but are harping on the source. Sources are not an end in themselves and content should be added based on reliability and context. The article quoted is evidently based on an interview with the subject and there is nothing to suggest that the reporter has independently verified the claims made by the subject. Moreover, a startling claim like the one made in the passage should be quoted in more than one mainstream publication, going by Exceptional claims require exceptional sources. While you are at it, you could also take a look at Reliability in the context. I hope this helps. Sesamevoila (talk) 05:38, 22 November 2012 (UTC)
I just went back to the page and I appreciate your efforts at cleaning up but I still feel the above passage is irrelevant, and not sufficiently sourced.Sesamevoila (talk) 07:47, 22 November 2012 (UTC)
I have properly responded your raising points, I cannot understand your descriptions of the issue that you are taking serious unnecessarly. Though mentioned wiki rules by you are supporting the descriptions that I draw. To travel as a diplomate different states is not a big claim nor important issue, there is reliable source by third party, no matter as an interview or something else. It is written and published by Ronisha Bhattacharyya (ANI), and writer is telling the subject has been travelled etc, but not the subject. At the other hand if you do not consider it a third party source, then anyhow it is well primary source, that's why I have placed the BLP tag for additional sources for verification, that act exact meets the wiki policies and guidelines. I am moving that discussion on the talk page of Abhay Kumar, and that should be discussed there, not on my talk page.Justice007 (talk) 08:29, 22 November 2012 (UTC)

Your recent edit on the page Abhay Kumar[edit]

"He travelled to Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka during his Indian Foreign Service."- There is something missing in this sentence. As he is still part of the Indian Foreign Service and is posted in Kathmandu. Generally Indian Foreign Service Officers travel to the neighbouring countries during probation days for training.

It could be -

He travelled to Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka during his probation days in the Indian Foreign Service.

or

He travelled to Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka during his Indian Foreign Service probation days.

thanks for understanding!

Kalhause — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kalhause (talkcontribs) 22:53, 22 November 2012 (UTC)
I have tried to do my best. Justice007 (talk) 23:09, 22 November 2012 (UTC)

That's much better. May be you can consider changing the following - He visited Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka at the time of his Indian Foreign Service.

into

He visited Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka at the time of his training period in the Indian Foreign Service.

Hope you get it. A sentence has to be complete to make meaning. Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kalhause (talkcontribs) 11:20, 23 November 2012 (UTC)

Now it is fine. thanks.

Without going to the discussion earlier, I think the following sentence does not add much value to the article because there is already a SAARC University in Delhi and an International University is coming up in Nalanda. So the following line is not of much value and therefor may be removed along with the BLP tag. "He visited Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka at the time of his training in the Indian Foreign Service. He also wrote a paper proposing a SAARC University at Nalanda.[23]" (Kalhause) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kalhause (talkcontribs) 12:12, 23 November 2012 (UTC)

Could you please now remove the BLP tag from the page Abhay Kumar as several additional citations have been added. Kalhause —Preceding undated comment added 17:57, 26 November 2012 (UTC)

  • Yes there are enough sources but for section ""=Personal life" still needs sources, please cite and remove the tag. Cheers.Justice007 (talk) 18:59, 26 November 2012 (UTC)

Ruba'i Article[edit]

Dear Justice007,

In regards to a nasty comment you posted with your edits to the ruba'i article: Peter Avery and L. P. Elwell-Sutton were both eminent scholars in the field of Persian Literature who taught at Cambridge and Edinburgh, respectively, for many years. If you think they were both "silly person" who "do not know what is Ruba'i," then you are sadly misinformed. In the future, please refrain from disparaging work you clearly have not read.

Writer83175 (talk) 10:45, 24 November 2012 (UTC)

You have to learn much more about Ruba'i, and do not try to teach me, what you refer the source 4 that support us( me and Spanglej), that "known as ruba'i (four line poem) dobaith (two-couplet-poem"). You, suppose as IP 75.24.202.15 did this. Why are your edits so bad. You give wikipedia a bad name.[edit]

It is quite obvious you are building a some sort of paper trail by editing wikipedia pages. With my bio page you have consistently edited without any knowledge about my life or about my work or about the domain of my work. Your English is poor and many times the edits you have made are derogatory, sexist, and damaging.

My last edit add a reference to a published biography on me. Nadja Argyropoulou (Author), Anastasia Aukeman (Author): 'Lydia Venieri: Theogony. Charta 2011. ISBN 978-8-88158-792-6

You removed it with the comment "Not original research please read". What are you talking about????

Do you know who Charta is or who the authors are ? It's quite obvious from the comments of other people that you are very ignorant in many areas.

What authority do you have? I've looked at the edits you have done on many other pages that you claim are yours. They are often trivial and pathetic, and often damaging and irrational. What are you doing? Do you think you have some power?

I'm someone who has a well known documented career, who is recognized by my country and other countries for my work and I don't see why I have to have you editing my bio on wikipedia. Remember wikipedia has now become an important reference and your edits could be damaging. Please keep off my bio page. If you don't I will have to consider legal advise. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Venieri (talkcontribs) 06:43, 26 November 2012 (UTC)

Cardinal sources[edit]

Sorry, my friend, but "cardinal" is a routine adjective which can mean (with no religious meaning) "of the greatest importance; fundamental". Thus, my statement that Zaytuna College teaches from the cardinal sources of Islam -- the Qur'an and ahadith -- was eminently appropriate. Not to worry. I won't change your edit, which is fine too. Best wishes, George Custer's Sabre (talk) 03:40, 11 December 2012 (UTC)

Well dear, I know already meaning that you mentioned but here in the article, word "cardinal" creates the confusion, it depends not only one meaning, it is commonly related to religious meaning. There are many words with same meaning but where to use is different subject. I do realy neither want to go deep in this regard and nor thinking of your any bad faith. Please just take a look at these articles and sites. Cardinal (Catholicism), Cardinal (bird), The Cardinal

I still don't see the problem here. The new source does support her birth date. The other source does support the "Day" honor. Hi Justice007. I didn't actually tag the article with those notices. It was done by User:TheRedPenOfDoom with this edit. I think those references probably count as reliable third party sources so I have removed the notability tag. The Wikify tag was replaced with Underlinked as the wikify tag is being replaced across Wikipedia as a whole. The underlinked means there should be more blue links in the article. I've also removed the BLP sources tag as the article has sources for most statements. Happy editing! Delsion23 (talk) 23:26, 12 December 2012 (UTC)

Hi dear, nice to see your comment, it was going good, but as a matter of my own principle, it is impossible to discuss with robots, because they don't have and are not able to use common sense. That's why now I am semi-retired. The articles I improved, are being spoiled, no one is interested to do constructive edits, there are too- much editors who devote their time to tagging the articles rather than improving those. Yes I am out of college but without a degree, because mentors are not having any qualification, so reliability is in question. Anyhow, I am sure you will achieve your goals as you desire. I realy miss you at wikipedia. I will be here just only to watch things off and on. God bless you too.Justice007 (talk) 14:52, 20 December 2012 (UTC)

Tony Vitti Fans[edit]

Hi there, we don't really know how to do it, but we thank you for helping keeping the page which has been created on our favorite singer Tony Vitti. When we heard the page we try to keep alive was subject of deletion, it was a pain in the heart. We appreciate it, whatever the end of this story. Wishing you a happy new year, Tony Vitti's fans family. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.197.16.195 (talk) 23:29, 1 January 2013 (UTC)

Tony Vitti[edit]

Perhaps there has been some misunderstanding.

  • There are several places in France called Saint-Rémy.
  • The source for that sentence does not say which Saint-Rémy he was born in. Meanwhile the infobox says he was born in a different location; Lyon. I realise you are keen to hit the revert button to preserve your version of the article, but this version is bad, because a person cannot be born simultaneously in two different towns.
  • If we don't know what we're talking about, we shouldn't just say it anyway. This is supposed to be an encyclopædia, not a collection of text which looks kinda plausible.

bobrayner (talk) 18:45, 3 January 2013 (UTC)

First, thanks for pointingout the error, I have corrected and second I knew When I wiki-linked the city, that was for me very difficult to decide to add proper name of the city, that's why I did not linked. The clarification needed template is for the phrase or sentence but not name of the persons or states or cities. May be you know better, if there is that description, please provide that, I would like to take a look at.Thanks.Justice007 (talk) 19:07, 3 January 2013 (UTC)
Is it possible to find out which Saint-Rémy? bobrayner (talk) 10:20, 4 January 2013 (UTC)

Please remember to assume good faith when dealing with other editors. Thank you. I'm noting that you've been warned a few times so far about assuming good faith like the Tony Vitti AFD when accusing another editor of socking, if you want to know why I posted a COI tag on Rebecca Masterton you should ask me. There is indeed an issue that you can actually find if you take the time to read through the diffs 4. Where else have I incorrectly tagged an article as you see it? Hell In A Bucket (talk) 23:53, 4 January 2013 (UTC)

And as far as the Tony Vitti article tag 5 part of the reason I tagged it was the Anon IP statement. Hell In A Bucket (talk) 00:30, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

Tony Vitti : end[edit]

Lol. Here my last word for this story. I just went to the page of "Koui2" and "Azurfrog", they were two "wikibros" looking for the end of the Vitti's page ! You can check their discussion after the deletion, they're just loling as two kids for their exploit. That's life. The thing you purposed me for undeletion is not allowed after a deletion, an admin told it to me. I won't fight, they are just submiting my other pages to deletion too : La Grande Battle (french wiki) etc... Don't have the time to bother me on a project like wikipedia if rules are respected this way. The Boss of wikipedia is always sending messages for asking money from users, that's probably why I'll never pay a f*cking cent to this mafia ruled by a few WoW players (exepted you as I can see, but you're not the majority).

Anyway, I thank you again for this thing, it took a lot, you wrote lines and lines when they were just giving some words, contradicting themselves etc... Anyway, wishing you a happy new year.

Frenchytv (talk) 23:52, 8 January 2013 (UTC)

You can ask administrator who closed the discussion, user Sjakkalle (talk · contribs). After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review. Make a request in a civil way. There are more possibilities for request. I hope this helps.Justice007 (talk) 00:19, 9 January 2013 (UTC)

Recreation contra Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mujeeb Zafar Anwar Hameedi[edit]

Do not repost articles that have been deleted at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion; it is considered disruptive and can get your account blocked. I compared your repost against the previously deleted version and did not find any substantial differences, and so it was subject to being speedy deleted as a recreation of content that was deleted pursuant to a deletion discussion. The way to challenge this is at Deletion Review, where you would be expected to show that the AFD was closed incorrectly or improperly, or that there is new information that, in this case, would establish that the subject is notable according to Wikipedia guidelines. Thanks, postdlf (talk) 23:27, 9 January 2013 (UTC)

In fairness, I believe (I haven't checked, but I'm basing this on previous discussions with Justice007) that at least one new source had been added. Justice007, I'm sorry that your article got deleted, especially when I know how much work you put into improving the previous version. However, I agree with the deletion - the level of disruption caused by Hameedi's "supporters" (probably just one guy in Karachi, judging by the IPs, but a very dedicated guy!) was substantial, and only died down after the article was removed (aside from one particularly abusive tirade that got copy-pasted to several talkpages before the IP was blocked). I'm not advocating this as a reason for deletion, but given the borderline notability, Wikipedia is better served by not having an article on Hameedi - less Hameedispam means we can get on with more productive tasks.
On an unrelated note, nice work on the Jaine Green article! Yunshui  23:47, 9 January 2013 (UTC)

Hi! User "Ronald zh" keeps deleting my image gallery under 'Indian Coinage'. I explained the gallery was essential to understand the art motifs on coins. Moreover, certain University students in US and elsewhere are using the resource for their study/research purposes and found my image gallery very useful. -ditto- curators from numismatic museums of universities. How do I get him to stop deleting my images? Grateful for your suggestion/help. Rgds. Meluha66 (talk) 09:01, 14 January 2013 (UTC)

Firstly, the help me tag is usually only used on your talk page when you ask your question, and isn't needed when asking a specific editor a question as you appear to be doing here. Secondly in regard to your actual question, your best bet is to discuss it with the user directly, at their talk page, or on the article talk page, remember to assume good faith. If you need anymore help please re add the help me tag to your talk page. -- Patchy1 09:23, 14 January 2013 (UTC)

Leonard Oprea[edit]

Hi! I have been involved in editing the article that was replaced by Biruitorul and then wikified by you recently. I am quite unhappy with the present product because it is very incomplete and it also skips the beginning of his career (in the early 80s) and jumps to him being banned in 1987. In the talk of that article I inserted numerous references to the fact that he was notable before he was banned, but that's not the point. I am trying to use the present article and add relevant details, but these are being deleted. I could put the references directly where I insert a statement, but it seems to me irrelevant as if someone has an agenda in keeping this article as sub-standard. I have already given the relevant info in the talk in the last two weeks. I am not sure who is in charge and how to go about it, I saw your page and I believe that you actually are impartial and honest. Unfortunately I am not so sure about others who deal with this page.Could you please advise? Thank youSensei2004 (talk) 03:48, 27 January 2013 (UTC)

Hi Sensei, it seems to me a kind of ownership, I made the best layout of the article, but some editors gaming the system and I believe here double standard exists. You can take the disput to Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard and discuss there to resolve or compromise the matter. Thanks.Justice007 (talk) 09:18, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
Thank you for your comment. Of course, I also feel ownership on stuff I inserted and I don't want to see it deleted for no reason. The problem is that the article as it stands is missing many details and omits many books and as such it diminishes his extensive work and I brought much evidence for this and waited quietly for it to be inserted. It is someone life achievements at play and I happen to be familiar with his work. I also was careful not to break into User:Biruitorul's edit, but only inserted stuff around it to complement it. (Haven't finished of course). But at the moment it seems to me that User:MSJapan is the one who deleted my text, not User:Biruitorul. And I know that a few of the people who handle that page have an axe to grind against Oprea (for reasons unknown to me). I can see this from their reactions in the past. I also don't understand why the previous article was replaced with the new one just when I finished inserting the missing references to all the statements. But I was ready to accept the new edit, I just want to make it correct. Unfortunately I see that dispute resolution might be the only way.14:06, 27 January 2013 (UTC)Sensei2004 (talk) 14:09, 27 January 2013 (UTC)

Could you please advise if this should be taken to the regular DPN or to BLP dispute noticeboard?I have waited a few more days but nothing has happened. ThanksSensei2004 (talk) 20:57, 1 February 2013 (UTC)

Revert on The Big Bang Theory[edit]

Just for an fyi I own The Complete Season Four DVD set of the show and can verify that the information I posted about the music video is correct as the jacket that comes with the DVD advertises the information and the feature can be found on Disc 2 of the DVD set. Amazon.com also supports there is a music video and that it is on both the DVD and Blu-ray. http://www.amazon.com/Big-Bang-Theory-Complete-Fourth/dp/B003L77G6A/ http://www.amazon.com/The-Big-Bang-Theory-Complete/dp/B003L77G6K/

  • In Special Feature section of Amazon.com it clearly reads: "The Barenaked Ladies on Big Bang Theory Featurette - Having created one of the greatest theme songs in recent history, the Barenaked Ladies bring it home when they come to the set of the Big Bang Theory to record a music video for the song. Featuring an interview with the band, behind the scenes footage of the filming of an episode, and clips from the new video itself, this piece carries with it all of the fun and energy you could expect from both the band and the show."

I have readded all this and corrected the information on the release date of this being released as a single with both iTunes and Amazon.com. 184.58.0.27 (talk) 03:37, 29 January 2013 (UTC)

Katrina Kaif[edit]

Hello! I suppose you are aware of two conflicting theories on Kaif's background, mentioned in the main article. Unless a source confirms self identificaiton by Katrina, adding contents from that src on her background is an evident violation of WP:BLP. All articles require sources[edit]

re your edit summary and action here ALL articles require in line sources. see WP:V and WP:LIST and Wikipedia:BLP#Categories.2C_lists_and_navigation_templates.

A claim that all the content is sourced in the target landing articles is 1) irrel as our policies require the sourcing to be in the particular article where the claim is made, and also 2) patently false. there are dozens of the landing page articles that do not have appropriate reliable sources that identify the subject as being someone who meets the list criteria. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 15:50, 4 April 2013 (UTC)

  • Hi RedPen I always thought that you are a experienced editor, but what you are mentioning here, it seems to me your experiernce is not justifying the concerns you are raising. Please consult dispute with someone else who knows better than you. In the list no any red link exists and no any content is to be cite, it is very ridiculous when you add the wiki-links in the articles, and then templating "citation needed", similarly the lists of the articles are wiki-links/articles, there is no need of any tags. What you have mentioned the rules, I do not see anything relating or supporting your personal likeness. I hope this helps, and please discuss the dispute on the talk page of the article, so that other editors can give thier opinion too.Thanks.Justice007 (talk) 17:11, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
    • I agree with TheRedPenOfDoom; it's a very long list with lots of claims about poets (including claims about living people) but it has zero sources. That's a problem. Strictly speaking, even just grouping together poets by language (or ethnicity) is original research unless you can provide a source which groups them similarly. It would be unhelpful to axe every unsourced line in the list - then there would be nothing in the article - but I think that following our verifiability policy is the key to fixing the article's flaws and improving it further. bobrayner (talk) 15:03, 5 April 2013 (UTC)

Repost of Nandini Sahu[edit]

Information icon A tag has been placed on Nandini Sahu requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion process. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: Speedy delete contest button.svg which appears inside of the speedy deletion () tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's discussion directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. I just feel that "British India (now Pakistan)" is not quite accurate. Wikilinking[edit]

Hi, and thanks for your work on the English Wikipedia. Just a short note to point out that we don’t normally link:

  • dates
  • years
  • commonly known geographical terms (including well-known country-names), and
  • common terms you’d look up in a dictionary (unless significantly technical).

Thanks and my best wishes.

Extended bibliography for Birbal Jha?[edit]

Do you happen to know any of Jha's other titles? I'd like to be able to include some other titles in there. I suppose that all 20+ might be a bit bulky even with Multicol, but it'd be nice to include some others in there. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 10:06, 20 February 2014 (UTC)

  • First of all thanks for improving very nicely the article, it was a disruptive matter, you have solved, I do not know more titles of the subject, only another article British Lingua has been edited several times in the way of puffery, may you take a look at and improve that too. Thanks once again. Justice007 (talk) 10:19, 20 February 2014 (UTC)

Hi Justice007, I appreciate your consistency to edit the page Birbal Jha on which I also work time and often. However, there is a difference of opinion. The article on the link below says that Bap Society is launching.............under the leadership of Dr Birbal Jha. the moment you delete the name of Jha from there the meaning changes. kindly have a relook and do justice on the page. I do not intend to give a promo but then factual error must be avoided. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/patna/Bank-employee-loses-job-due-to-poor-English/articleshow/31745221.cms

Brother regarding the Farhat Hashmi page. Please do not spread the negative against the Islamic scholar as what you have mentioned is absolutely Islamic and according to sharia as mentioned in Hadith. Hi,[edit]

You have removed several publications from the Hamza Yusuf article as they were not cited but particularly for an scholar you could at least use cn tag for other editors since you don't have time to find source yourself. Also, I have reverted your edit where you removed the honorific prefix from the infobox with edit summary WP:CREDENTIAL but you overlooked WP:HONORIFIC. Thanks, 117.194.205.42 (talk) 15:56, 8 April 2014 (UTC)

No your are not right, there is placed a BLP sources tag since 2011, citation needed does not mean the unsourced content remains, it should be supported with reliable sources. Justice007 (talk) 17:48, 8 April 2014 (UTC)
I posted the message from my ip and I feel to create a/c as certain options are restricted from ip. Now, would you please explain the need of cn tag then? Also, you didn't tell me why you removed the honorific prefix from the infobox. Anothereditorishere (talk) 19:04, 8 April 2014 (UTC)
I have already replied you, details you can find in WP:Citation needed, where it should be and how it should be, when there is question of more content citation needed, appropriate tag is BLP sources, not the multiple CN to multiple books or any thing else. Regarding Jinnah[edit]

There is very little evidence of substance, from neutral observers, and not pro-Hindutva (political hinduism, anti-secularism) extreme religious nationalists, that Jinnah advocated for Pakistan because Gandhi supported non-violent resistance, but that he left congress, and dominated the Muslim league, because he and his partisans felt, not a fact, but felt, that the Gandhi was not serious in addressing the grievances of Indian Muslims in a comprehensive manner.

Regarding misleading, I feel that adding in detail on the Kashmir conflict being caused by a lack of referendum is neutral. It doesnt support any claim of Pakistan or India, but states that a referendum, conducted by international observers was not carried out as it was in Balochistan and NWFP (Pashtun province) and that this lack of election has led to a sovereign dispute. I can not see how it might be construed as misleading or compromises WP:NPOV. The references regarding what I have put on the Kashmir Conflict, is then further vindicated in the article of Kashmir itself and a UN resolution which argues for an agreed solution to the conflict entailing the right to self-determination. (Wiki id2(talk) 21:09, 18 October 2014 (UTC))

Your unsourced edits are already reverted by another editor, it is a kind of consensus, the article is a featured article that you have to keep in you mind and it is edited by most experienced editors. I hope this helps. Justice007 (talk) 06:59, 19 October 2014 (UTC)
Hi Wiki id2, things get a little strict once an article becomes FA. Try sorting it out on talk page and listing all your sources. I went thorugh that edit (and if I'm not forgetting), you were trying to put it as the view of muslims ie. being aggrieved and not properly represented (which I think was the actual reason too and needs to be addressed).. stating that so and so party holds such view is not POV in itself so hopefully sourcing it will resolve this. Take your time and back them up with WP:RS as even if you are right that still needs to be done. --lTopGunl (talk) 18:38, 23 October 2014 (UTC)

Question about WP:INDICSCRIPTS[edit]

I've posted a query here as now I think the information about that consensus is not complete to me. It might be a good idea to wait and clarify further before running a campaign on removing (or adding) scripts to articles. As there are two issues, 1) that consensus might have been about Indic scripts and not urdu scripts (see my talk; Urdu is not Indic, it's persio arabic), 2) if it did include Urdu scripts, it was achieved at a WP India page and would only affect WP India only articles and not the wider community or WP Pak, IMO. See my talk page for further discussion. Don't want you to redo / undo same edits later :) --lTopGunl (talk) 14:56, 25 October 2014 (UTC)

Ok lets see.Justice007 (talk) 17:54, 25 October 2014 (UTC)
I thank both User:TopGun and User:Justice007 for bringing this issue up. I have personally found it really confusing that some members of WikiProject India decided to enact this guideline, especially since many articles associated with WikiProject India overlap with other WikiProjects, such as WikiProject Pakistan, WikiProject Afghanistan, etc. I am thankful to User:RegentsPark for clarifying that as of now, articles associated with WikiProject India can allow scripts for geography related articles. However, I do think that it would be a good idea to bring this topic up again at WikiProject India or elsewhere. I don't think it is appropriate for one WikiProject to make a policy about scripts different than that of the wider Wikipedia Community. I hope this helps and I will let both of you know when I have the time to start such a discussion. With regards, AnupamTalk 05:54, 30 October 2014 (UTC)
Yes it is valid point, it needs to be discussed again, I hope the consensus will be on one line for each project application.Justice007 (talk) 08:21, 30 October 2014 (UTC)
Hi, you are right about the application of the scripts and I found it a useful for articles to have native name along with English and the translation. Somethings actually are enacted (or more accurately the discussion was hosted on the project page; consensus was still there) by wikiprojects as they host a lot of editors that mainly edit in the topic area (hence the existence of the project). So as for the consensus of that project only covers the project's own scope, it is not counter productive to the rest of the community. I further clarified this on my talkpage with a few administrators and uninvolved editors - this does not apply to Indian topics that overlap Pakistan as they do not just come under WP India. So, the decision of WP India is not really affecting the wider community. You can still use native scripts elsewhere. If you would like to revise the consensus on WP India, I suggest that you challenge that consensus only (but keep in mind WP:SNOW if you don't think much hasn't changed yet) as in case of rest of the projects we do not need to fix what is not broken (given that we are already using scripts). If I was more active at the time of that discussion I would have opposed the removal though. --lTopGunl (talk) 10:38, 30 October 2014 (UTC)
TopGun, I am also not much active on wikipedia, I have much more matters and things to do in my real life. I was even not aware of the discussion and outcome of it. Anyhow, wiki-rules should be clear and on one line for all projects, otherwise editors will remain in state of confusion and it is not good for the editors, one remains adding and other reverting, it is the waste of the time. Indic scripts transliteration are important for the related subject's part of the area, but transliteration should be only in a national language, not in the regional languages., because that make the lead awkward with many scripts. We are editing all articles, not only project, Pakistan and India. I hope there will be any step to re-consensus the issue in exact concept of the wiki-rule for all project, not the one for this and other for that, it will be considered "discrimination" towards different scripts within its scope.Justice007 (talk) 13:43, 30 October 2014 (UTC)
I agree with you on that. I'm concerned about the same multitude of editors over running the consensus for Pakistan related projects as well (an already under resourced project with few but prolific editors) instead of getting their own reformed. So if this is to be raised again, it shouldn't be anything less than a wiki wide consensus from village pump. --lTopGunl (talk) 13:52, 30 October 2014 (UTC)
I am looking forward Anupam, he may initiate to reopen the discussion in a wide scale. I hope we will reach a positive solution in the consensus way.Justice007 (talk) 14:20, 30 October 2014 (UTC)

CSD tag removal[edit]

Hi Justice007 - I restored the CSD tag to Ayeza Khan for two reasons. First, you removed it noting that the CSD was contested, yet no one but the creator has done so and therefore the CSD tag is still valid. Secondly, you nominated it for TfD as a template, which doesn't make sense. Ultimately there is no reason why a second AfD needs to occur when the last one was closed just three days ago unless an editor other than the creator contests the CSD. --Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 21:19, 29 October 2014 (UTC)

It went wrong automatically, yes I was using Twinkle and happened wrong click, anyhow as I remember, if there is no changing in the rule, creator can contest and by anyone tag can be removed. Now it is ok, no problem. Justice007 (talk) 21:28, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
(edit conflict)Were you using Twinkle or something? Maybe it was just a misclick. Anyway, anyone other than the creator can contest the deletion of the article through the removal of the CSD tag. As it stands the creator is the only person to have contested it, so there is no need to remove it. Another admin will come along and take a look and decide whether it meets CSD G4 criteria soon enough. --Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 21:39, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
The rule states, "The creator of a page may not remove a speedy deletion tag from it. Only an editor who is not the creator of a page may do so." Justice007 (talk) 21:36, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
I understand the policy; I've worked at CSD for years as an admin. No one other than the creator is contesting the CSD tag so there is no reason to remove it and fire up another deletion discussion when the last one closed 72 hours ago and no other editor is contesting the speedy. --Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 21:43, 29 October 2014 (UTC)

iERA[edit]

Dear Justice007, I hope you are well. Another editor (RookTaker) and I are feeling a bit frustrated that our efforts to keep the iERA article neutral, balanced and reliable are being thwarted by an anonymous editor who changes his editor name (sometimes to mimic ours) and seems to want to whitewash the article. I don't have an view as to whether iERA is good or bad, but it is a controversial entity. That's not just my opinion. Neutral and reliable sources show that. Hiding the controversial nature of this entity will therefore prevent an accurate account being presented. I'm not out to paint the iERA as despicable. I truly don't have an axe to grind. I don't believe that RookTaker has either. Can you please take a look at the article and the edit history and see what you think? Thanks and regards, George Custer's Sabre (talk) 05:26, 6 November 2014 (UTC)

Edit warring at Imran Khan[edit]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

It is unclear why you keep on adding press releases to this article. I'm sure you understand that if an article is up for deletion because it is promotional and lacks independent sources, adding another press release is going to make the case weaker, not stronger. I deleted the last press release you added--there was no reason given for this press release to appear as an external link. Logical Cowboy (talk) 01:26, 12 November 2014 (UTC)

It has been fun-fact game for some users on Wikipedia to challenge and remove content (an only thing they believe they are good at). You did not answer my quoted message from you at 'Shaikh Ayaz' talk page - what exactly have you contributed to that page since 2012? (while sitting in Europe you will never be able to improve or expand any Pakistan-related article other than challenging their contents---and both you and I know why - lot of information on Pakistan is not well-documented on internet). You use 'guidelines' to find loopholes to challenge (like you did with this discussion in the end). This is a kind of contribution that anyone would love to perform, over researching for Wikipedia (no offense). SarfarazLarkanian 10:46, 14 November 2014 (UTC)
(talk page stalker)Unless you are paying Justice, you shouldn't require him for making good on his thoughts for improving an article. You are welcome to do it yourself (with reliable sources; you do not need online sources so feel free to go to a library and bring in print sources if you like as far as you give proper citations. Invalid Speedy deletions[edit]

Hi Justice007,
I have been looking at the edits of Taimurijaz97 for some time and noticed your CSD#A7 notices on Altaf Hussain University, Karachi & Altaf Hussain University, Hyderabad. Unfortunately the template message says "Note that educational institutions are not eligible under this criterion.". I also just saw that they have now been removed by another editor for that reason. Regards, --220 of Borg 07:45, 1 December 2014 (UTC)

It was I who removed them. A7 does not apply to schools or universities. All with a real existence are considered notable. The question is whether the two newly founded universities in question do yet have a real existence.
I see a decent reference that defines the situation [12].
At what stage something being planned becomes real enough to have an article is specified roughly at WP:CRYSTAL. I suggest afd. DGG ( talk ) 07:59, 1 December 2014 (UTC) indents added 220 of Borg

Hi 220 of Borg, DIG, that is ok, the template was indeed not valid, anyhow the both subjects are not notable and those even don't exist, it was a just minor news of someone suggesting the establishment of the universities after Altaf Hussain. I do not think that is the reliability of Wikipedia to let create such articles that physically don't exist.Justice007 (talk) 15:01, 1 December 2014 (UTC)

This guys 'articles' are looking more bogus all the time! See this search I did. They are just copy/pasting one pages text into another, changing the names & location etc. to create a 'new' page! There are now 9 university pages where the "Main campus extends on 74 Kanals, comprises ..."! WTF???

  • I think Lahore Garrison University is where its been copied from as Taimurijaz97 didn't create, and hasn't edited, that page, at least not under that username. (I have suspicions)
  • I've given them 2 'final' warnings for removing maintenance templates (especially 'Unreferenced') in less than 10 hours (last ≈75 minutes ago). I'm hours overdue for sleep (UTC+10 here) so I'm going to bed! (For one hours sleep?) Maybe they'll be blocked, again, when I get back! (AGF all gone now! Naeem Baig[edit]

Read WP:NOTE, WP:BLP, WP:V, WP:RS. The article has a single source, which is not sufficient for a biography of a living person, and that source does not verify the full text of the article (I've tagged the unverified statements) or satisfactorily establish the notability of the subject. Without more reliable sources that establish notability, the article may be deleted, and unsourced statements may be deleted at any time. Swpbtalk 19:48, 3 December 2014 (UTC)

Swpb, thanks for referring rules, it is nice to read it again and again. I just know since October 2010, atleast one reliable source establishes the notability. Daily Dawn is a mainstream newspaper, there is an article/review, (written by mtiaz Piracha) that significant covers the subject's work. Over tagging I disagree with you. Please don't take it personal, I don't bother if article resulted deletion. I am neutral and fair.Justice007 (talk) 21:35, 3 December 2014 (UTC)

History of Indian Subcontinent[edit]

Hey, want to get your opinion on this... History of India covers the history of the whole subcontinent while History of Pakistan, History of the Republic of India and History of Bangladesh are country history articles. This is creating some confusion in editors who are trying to split History of Pakistan as well into two articles (the second one being History of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan; it seems to be a good split by WP:MOS to shorten the aritcle though). It has started an editwar at the History of Islamic Republic of Pakistan between keeping it redirected to History of Pakistan and splitting. I think if History of India was moved to History of Indian Subcontinent, it will clarify things alot (because 'India' redirects to the country and not the subcontinent so that is the primary topic and we need to have a single format in both cases) and also keep the historical term "India" in the title in form of "Indian Subcontinent". Kindly comment on the discussion at WT:PAK#History of modern and ancient day Pakistan esp. refer to my third point there. I am thinking of starting an RFC for renaming the page if there are some more views from experienced editors on what to do. --lTopGunl (talk) 08:51, 6 December 2014 (UTC)

December 2014[edit]

You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at Battle of Chawinda. Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. OccultZone (TalkContributionsLog) 18:00, 19 December 2014 (UTC)

Source misrepresentation and removal of maintenance templates is nothing better either. OccultZone (TalkContributionsLog) 18:02, 19 December 2014 (UTC)

Discussion is better[edit]

I strongly suggest you stop slapping useless self-detrimental warnings to users and answer the questions raised by us at Talk:Battle of Chawinda. That might prevent you from getting blocked. Thanks, ƬheStrikeΣagle 18:15, 19 December 2014 (UTC)

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for threatening to continue edit warring, as you did here. 3RR is not a limit that can be used to one's advantage by gaming the system. You've already reverted three times after I had given blanket warnings on the EWN. Please do not restart your reverting behaviour on the respective article. Go by consensus. Follow dispute resolution in case talk page discussions fail. And do not give threats to edit war. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: . However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.   Wifione Message 00:38, 20 December 2014 (UTC)

A caution[edit]

Just as I left a note on AHLM13's page about certain terms, I'm also leaving a caution here. When you raised your concern to AHLM13 about the term "vandalism", you said in part "I am the main edito of this article". That's getting a bit close to WP:OWN territory - nobody owns any given article. I understand the meaning of the phrase, but you need to be careful about how you use the term and absolutely avoid anything that might be close to you trying to say "It's my article, and it will be done my way!". OWN calls it stewardship, and it can be a valuable service to Wikipedia but along with that you need to be open and communicate with other editors. When reverting, consider opening a discussion on the article talk page especially if there seem to be significant style differences. As I said, I understand the meaning of the phrase you used, but there's a lot of other editors who might not and get a wrong impression. Thanks, Ravensfire (talk) 21:34, 14 April 2015 (UTC)

Muhammad Iqbal[edit]

Please understand that discussion does not take place in edit summaries. You are in danger of engaging in an edit war. Please seek to form a consensus before reverting again. Tiderolls 21:42, 14 April 2015 (UTC)

Thanks, Ravensfire , Tide. I did not mean that I own the article. I briefly told him that I was the main contributor of the article; It does not fall under own the wiki-rule. Maybe there was not the clarity. Iqbal has several titles that are not necessary to add to the info box. The language standard looked like an essay terms or just the flowery language; it is not the encyclopedic language. I appreciate if there are any constructive edits. Justice007 (talk) 23:53, 14 April 2015 (UTC)
Ravensfire and Tide, thanks for having give us some tips. @Justice007, it doesn't matter whether you intended to say that you own the article. If on your behalf there was an IP or newly created account, then he would have been blocked. You're right, Sir Iqbal possess VARIOUS titles, which can't be added, but those 3 should be enough (but SIR might be removed). Moreover, I don't know which essay terms are you talking about, but most of them seem to be encyclopedic. You reverted all edits without reading them, such as reliable sources and even APPROPRIATE LINKS, like "Pakistani, Indian, Bangladeshi" . Please use the articles' talk page. With regard to Hanif Tarin's article, could you tell me what does "INDIAN URDU POET" mean? It is same as "AMERICAN BRITISH LANGUAGE POET", which doesn't mean anything. I've just clarified that sentence, but you undid my edit by writing THAT I utilise Uncyclopedic language and I am spoiling the articles everywhere. This is unacceptable. -- AHLM13 talk 15:01, 15 April 2015 (UTC)

Warning: Violating the three-revert rule[edit]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Muhammad Iqbal shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you get reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war.

-- AHLM13 talk 09:22, 15 April 2015 (UTC)

Talk:Muhammad Iqbal[edit]

Hi, I saw your comment at Talk:Muhammad Iqbal. Please note that article talk pages are intended to discuss the improvement of the article but are less than ideal to complain about the behaviour of other editors. Please consider to strike or remove this and comment on the content dispute. Thanks :) JimRenge (talk) 16:15, 15 April 2015 (UTC)

JimRenge, I did not get your point, talk pages are for discussion of all issues, I am not discussing the behaviour, but that comes in the discussion and that leads to compromise towards the improving the article, and reach the consensus. I do not think there is any issue of personal motivation. I hope this helps. Justice007 (talk) 16:30, 15 April 2015 (UTC)
How you started the section was not helpful - "...engaging in a blatant pattern of Wikistalking articles that I have edited". That's something for the drama boards (WP:ANI), not for an article talk page. Ideally, it should be used for that article and only focus on the edits, not the editor. Don't delete it, but I think starting a new section, focusing ONLY on the edits for that article and explaining why you think one version is better than the other would be more productive. Ravensfire (talk) 16:34, 15 April 2015 (UTC)
I agree with Ravensfire. WP:TPYES says: "Comment on content, not on the contributor". His talk page or ANI are better places to discuss his behaviour. JimRenge (talk) 16:46, 15 April 2015 (UTC)
Okay, agree, later I try to focus on concerned issues. Thanks. Justice007 (talk) 17:07, 15 April 2015 (UTC)

Do you mean here only the dispute or also improving and expanding the article as whole Justice007 (talk) 07:38, 18 April 2015 (UTC)

It is simple. You have demonstrated that you do not understand the framework of rules and conventions within which we work on this project. Have you read the policies and guidelines to which you have been directed? I think if you had you would have been able to avoid your block. My restriction, as you call it, aims to help you avoid future blocks. Read the policies and guidelines. Observe and engage other editors. Ask questions. My point is that you have a bit more to learn. Tiderolls 18:03, 18 April 2015 (UTC)
Tide rolls, yes, I confess, I have to learn not only some extent, but more extent, I remain in learning. Is it the clarity that I asked? I know very well, why I was targeted. I do not want to illustrate a point to win, but is that for the project to cheer, and this ??!!. You know very well, I was maintaining the policies per "neutral point of view" policy is to present the subject as they are presented and covered by the mainstream academics. You are not a child, but you are an administrator though I see to some extent your neutrality. Anyhow, I close this topic here. In the days when I created my account back in 2006, the account creation dialogue encouraged new users to read the username policy before choosing a username, so I did so. In those days, the policy gave a rather serious warning that using your real name might not be a good idea, so I quickly thought up another name to use instead. Later, I came to regret having chosen a usernmae that looks like a real name, because it is likely to give the impression that I am pretending to be someone I am not, whereas had I chosen an obviously nonsense name, such as "The emperor's sock", nobody would think I was making such a pretence. By the time I came round to thinking that, I had such an extensive editing history, and had been involved in so many discussions and so on, that I thought changing my username might confuse people, so I stuck with the name I had. However, as time went on, I became less and less happy about the possibility that I might mislead people, so eventually I put a note in my signature declaring that it is a pseudonym, so that nobody can be in any doubt.
