Notability of Magwerks Corporation[edit]

You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
Thank you.

The article Magwerks Corporation has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. CobaltBlueTony™ talk 16:35, 2 March 2010 (UTC)

I view this as notable for the following reasons
First this company is one of only 3 companies in North, Central and South American producing MPI equipment. a chief competitor to ITW's division Magnaflux who have Wikipedia pages.

As only few companies producing MPI equipment sold through out the world it noteworthy for people know about the company from a independent source, who they are, what they are, and where they are.

Also consider the number of companies that have wiki pages with have far more competitors and affect very few peoples lives

The article Magnaflux was actually about the process "magnafluxing", so I redirected the company name to the appropriate ITW section on its page.

All articles about companies must meet Wikipedia's notability criteria for companies and organizations, in addition to the general notability guidelines. This requires independent, verifiable and reliable sources to establish notability.

The fact that there are issues with articles on Wikipedia is not an excuse to introduce additional articles with similar problems. You are encouraged to fix problems you do find, however. I hope this more succinctly addresses your concerns. CobaltBlueTony™ talk 17:18, 2 March 2010 (UTC)

There is no term Magnafluxing and it sure was not invented by the person listed at best it was slang
i have started to work on the Magnetic particle inspection articles cleaning what is just flat out wrong and information that would result in peoples death due to false information.
Creating a redirect for Magnaflux to point to its parent company is not what i had intended. Magnaflux was the company who created the entire MPI industry and is extremely note worthy and needs to have its own article. Several of its employees wrote books detailing out MPI process and magnetic research conducted. When ITW purchased Magnaflux it killed the research arm of the company what a shocker there.
Magwerks has also published papers and research and contributes to ASTM and SAE standards in MPI feild.
Maybe we can meet half way in making sure this knowledge is preserved as its very obscure field today. If your not in the MPI or NDT field you have no idea what any of this stuff is. —Preceding unsigned comment added by JustinGzzzzz (talkcontribs) 17:45, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
Keep in mind that all information added to articles must be from independent, verifiable and reliable sources. It cannot come from blogs, press releases (for notability), or unverifiable sources. And it must adhere strictly to Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy. That means that whatever information you include must not portray any bias toward or against the subject, and any claims must be presented with a neutral tone, even if it is accurate.
Since you indicate that this is a poorly understood topic, understand that it might take more time and verifiable resources than you may have at your disposal. Try not to get frustrated, but don't give up in backing up things you are certain of with resources that meet our requirements. Whatever information you wish to present, understand that as a serious Wikipedian, I am concerned only with verifiable facts — not truth. If it's a fact, if it supports an article, and it can be properly vetted, it can stay in the article, or at least serve as an external link, useful for further reading for whomever reads the article. I will try to assist you, but if I'm otherwise occupied, please feel free to add the {{help}} tag on your talk page (as it appears <-- there) and someone will come by to assist you.
I've created a user subpage for you to work on the Magnaflux article, here: User:JustinGzzzzz/Magnaflux. Once you feel that the article there meets our requirements, we'll review and hopefully move it back into the main article space for public consumption. Cheers and happy editing! CobaltBlueTony™ talk 18:03, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
As an additional courtesy, I've also created User:JustinGzzzzz/Magwerks Corporation. Cheers! CobaltBlueTony™ talk 18:58, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
