If you need help, let me know. - Dank (push to talk) 21:00, 21 September 2012 (UTC)

Hahaha! I kept meaning to give a FA review of this article and kept forgetting. Glad it wasn't necessary. Congrats on the FA! Resolute 21:48, 29 September 2012 (UTC)
By all means, put Dan Bain up any time. We could co-nominate that one anyway, and I promise I'll pay more attention to it.  ;) Resolute 22:04, 29 September 2012 (UTC)
Hah! I should probably borrow that from the Calgary Public Library. Sounds like it might help some of those older HHOF articles! Resolute 14:33, 6 October 2012 (UTC)

Towel Power[edit]

If you have some time could you swing by and check out the Towel Power page? I was hoping to get it up to GA. I wanted an outside opinion of if it would meet the standards overall and specifically the completeness. The article seems a little short, but I think that it covers the the tradition. If you don't have the time it's no big deal. Cheers --Mo Rock...Monstrous (leech44) 00:21, 26 October 2012 (UTC)

Thank you for lending a hand. I really appreciate it.--Mo Rock...Monstrous (leech44) 14:32, 28 October 2012 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:SokolKrasnoyarsk.jpg)[edit]

Ambox warning blue.svg Thanks for uploading File:SokolKrasnoyarsk.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:27, 18 April 2013 (UTC)

Wondering about external links[edit]

Hi Kaiser,

I notice you removed an external link I inserted (Howie Morenz). I've included similar links in the past (less than 5 or 6 a year), wondering why a link to a prominent hockey publication was removed, did we break any Wiki rules? I'd like to continue adding a link here and there, when relevant, but do not want to go beyond what's allowed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Brvce (talkcontribs) 17:57, 3 December 2013 (UTC)

Hobey Baker as TFA[edit]

Hello, as the bot that's meant to leave messages for FAC nominators when an article is picked for TFA seems to have forgotten about you, here's a little note to say that Hobey Baker is due for TFA on Wikipedia:Today's featured article/January 15, 2014. Any problems / questions, please let me know. I've left a question about the use of two infoboxes on the article's talk page, incidentally. Regards, BencherliteTalk 23:25, 7 January 2014 (UTC)

Your upload of File:Avslineup.jpeg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. Nail Yakupov[edit]

I noticed you changed the medal template that I had amended on his page. The link you took out was that he was a member of the Russia men's national under-18 ice hockey team and left it with only the Russia men's national junior ice hockey team. Since the Russian team at the World Junior A Challenge is their U18 team, does it not make more sense to leave both links? If consensus is that we simply link one that is fine, I was being technical as the user would click on Russia and be sent to the wrong team page for the WJAC medal. Shootmaster 44 (talk) 01:11, 29 December 2014 (UTC)

No problem, I reverted it, I have been adding these things with respect to the WJAC and was hoping I was screwing up a bunch of pages by doing so. Shootmaster 44 (talk) 02:49, 29 December 2014 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:UncleRory.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:UncleRory.gif. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Redsky89 (talk) 06:43, 12 January 2015 (UTC)

Hello from the team at Featured article review![edit]

Cscr-featured.svg

We are preparing to take a closer look at Featured articles promoted in 2004–2010 that may need a review. We started with a script-compiled list of older FAs that have not had a recent formal review. The next step is to prune the list by removing articles that are still actively maintained, up-to-date, and believed to meet current standards. We know that many of you personally maintain articles that you nominated, so we'd appreciate your help in winnowing the list where appropriate.

Please take a look at the sandbox list, check over the FAs listed by your name, and indicate on the sandbox talk page your assessment of their current status. Likewise, if you have taken on the maintenance of any listed FAs that were originally nominated by a departed editor, please indicate their status. BLPs should be given especially careful consideration.

Thanks for your help! SandyGeorgia (Talk) 15:08, 12 May 2015 (UTC)

Please respond at Wikipedia talk:Unreviewed featured articles/sandbox#Pinging next round; thanks! SandyGeorgia (Talk) 15:08, 12 May 2015 (UTC)
