Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Kapoork, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent contributions, such as your edit to the page Kanika Kapoor, have removed content without an explanation. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox rather than in articles.

If you still have questions, there is a new contributors' help page, or you can write {{helpme}} below this message along with a question and someone will be along to answer it shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia:

I hope you enjoy editing Wikipedia! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if you want to get in touch with me. Again, welcome! —C.Fred (talk) 03:55, 23 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I see your recent edits removed a lot of sourced material from Kanika Kapoor, and added some unsourced assertions. Please see WP:RS for the kind of sources you would need to support any additions you wish to make, and please be careful not to remove existing content without explanation. Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Kapoork. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Kanika Kapoor, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies. Note that Wikipedia's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Widr (talk) 04:17, 23 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not attack other editors, as you did on User talk:Squinge. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. Squinge (talk) 09:20, 23 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your problems here stem not from other people's actions, but from your own. If you wish to write content for Wikipedia you must follow the project's policies regarding reliable sources, and if you make changes that are not supported by such sources (see WP:CITE to learn how to do that), it is very likely you will be reverted. Attacking those who revert you is unlikely to help - in fact, it is likely to get your account blocked. Squinge (talk) 09:25, 23 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you.

The section is Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#User:Kapoork. Squinge (talk) 10:59, 23 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please *stop* adding information that is not supported by reliable sources - see WP:RS for further information. Also, your username suggests a conflict of interest (see WP:COI) so you should explain whatever connections you might have to the subject before making further changes. Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Kanika Kapoor. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. S.T.O.P. Please discuss on the talk page. -- Rsrikanth05 (talk) 11:58, 24 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
