January 2014[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Zenswashbuckler. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Keystone Pipeline, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ☯.ZenSwashbuckler.☠ 03:24, 2 January 2014 (UTC)

File:40 foot container double.jpg[edit]

Hello Kcida. Regarding File:40 foot container double.jpg, you need provide some additional details for this image. I've inserted a template and comments in the description that you need to fill out. Also, I'm wondering if it would be possible to upload a version of the image with a lighter background...it will look better in the article. Thanks! Huntster (t @ c) 21:05, 5 January 2014 (UTC)

Providing sources in articles[edit]

A second issue I need to raise is the lack of sourcing in your article contributions, such as with the changes you made at Intermodal freight transport. I've removed the changes for the time being, but if you can show what reliable sources you obtained the information from, there won't be a problem re-inserting the material. Please read Help:Introduction to referencing/1, which will show you how to insert citations as well as what is considered to be reliable sources. Let me know if you have any questions. Huntster (t @ c) 21:16, 5 January 2014 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for February 3[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Louisiana International Gulf Transfer Terminal Regional Center, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Container (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

File permission problem with File:Mouth of the Mississippi.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Mouth of the Mississippi.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 16:08, 3 February 2014 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Container on barge map.jpg[edit]

A tag has been placed on File:Container on barge map.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Better source request for File:Container Stacking.jpg[edit]

Thanks for your upload to Wikipedia:

You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 03:15, 10 March 2014 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:40 foot container Turnpike double.jpg[edit]

A tag has been placed on File:40 foot container Turnpike double.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

File permission problem with File:Geostationary balloon satellite.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Geostationary balloon satellite.jpg, which you've attributed to An OTRS notice was applied over 60 days ago, but no message at OTRS has been found since this tag was applied..

Your draft article, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Container on Barge[edit]

Hello Kcida10. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Container on Barge".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Container on Barge}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Rankersbo (talk) 08:40, 1 August 2014 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of City-States in America[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article City-States in America has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Lack of notability, lack of meaningful sources, and original research and / or synthesis - this loosely-formed concept is based on only two articles, the major one being a blog

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. License tagging for File:La crosse rail bridge.jpeg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:La crosse rail bridge.jpeg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Schnabel car[edit]

File:Schnabel Locomotive.jpeg
File:Schnabel Locomotive.jpeg

I'm not sure what your image is meant to represent, but it's neither a locomotive nor a Schnabel layout for the freight cars.Andy Dingley (talk) 23:37, 10 November 2015 (UTC)

It's a future concept of a locomotive to replace extra puller locomotives at the front of freight trains.

So it's WP:OR, fails WP:CRYSTAL and still has no relation to a Schnabel layout. The Schnabel concept, by definition, can't be applied to a locomotive: it is only relevant if a single large piece of equipment is being delivered as freight (and which whilst being delivered, can itself form the body of the freight car). Andy Dingley (talk) 00:18, 11 November 2015 (UTC)

wouldn't it be cool if it existed? this page could inspire that.

It might be cool, but it wouldn't be encyclopedic, and that's our job here. In particular, WP records stuff that has already happened, not things that we think ought to happen.
There's also the problem that monster articulated locomotives have had a poor success record previously. See the Chesapeake and Ohio class M-1, and others.

ArbCom elections are now open![edit]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Original research[edit]

Your edits at Perpetual motion appear to be original research. That is, the introduced text is the opinion of an editor rather than a summary of what reliable sources have concluded. The edits will be removed in due course because there is no reliable source, and because they do not address the topic—depending on the wind is not "motion that continues indefinitely without any external source of energy". It appears that several other edits are also original research (known as OR). For example, this image added to Close air support shows a conception of what something might look like—that is not the purpose of Wikipedia. Andy Dingley made a similar comment at Schnabel car (above). Please ask at WP:HELPDESK or the WP:TEAHOUSE for information about avoiding OR. Johnuniq (talk) 10:22, 2 December 2015 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Tim Kabat[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Tim Kabat has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. JDDJS (talk) 19:51, 21 December 2015 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Tim Kabat[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Tim Kabat requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Contested deletion[edit]

Moved from File talk:UMAX container on train.jpeg: Vanjagenije (talk) 23:25, 20 January 2016 (UTC)

This file should not be speedy deleted as bearing an improper license, because... (your reason here) --Kcida10 (talk) 22:40, 20 January 2016 (UTC)

It's a no darivatives license and the photo isn't modified so it should be good

@Kcida10: That license is not acceptable for Wikipedia, see: Wikipedia:File copyright tags. Vanjagenije (talk) 23:23, 20 January 2016 (UTC)

License tagging for File:Reefer container stacked.jpeg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Reefer container stacked.jpeg.

Speedy deletion nomination of Top Engineering Colleges in the United States[edit]

Hello Kcida10,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Top Engineering Colleges in the United States for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Rollingcontributor (talk) 17:57, 10 February 2016 (UTC)

Yeah that's not an encyclopedia article whatsoever. Especially judging by the mountain of content that youve forced everyone else to delete, as mentioned on this talk page, you need to read in detail about what Wikipedia is (WP:RS WP:V WP:N) and is WP:NOT. And please just stop making indiscriminate content. You clearly have a lot of interest and some valuable skills, if you could just stop wasting your time and everybody else's with the rest. People will be glad to explain on the relevant pages of wikiprojects and the teahouse. Thanks.72.202.147.87 (talk) 18:22, 10 February 2016 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Union Pacific freight train.jpeg[edit]

A tag has been placed on File:Union Pacific freight train.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. File permission problem with File:ESnet Map.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:ESnet Map.png, which you've attributed to ESnet is not the federal government.

You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. DMacks (talk) 19:48, 18 March 2016 (UTC)

Your draft article, Draft:Tech Titan[edit]

Hello, Kcida10. It has been over six months since you last edited your Articles for Creation draft article submission, "Tech Titan".

In accordance with our policy that Articles for Creation is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of Domestic intermodal container shippers list[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Domestic intermodal container shippers list, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". File source problem with File:Electricity price map of the United States 2013.jpeg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Electricity price map of the United States 2013.jpeg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Industrial laboratory should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Industrial laboratory .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

December 2016[edit]

Hello, this is Drdpw, your recent edit to Template:Timeline US Presidents has been reverted, as the information you added was beyond the scope of that template. Last month (November 6), when you brought up the idea of adding a timetable of presidents and the wars they were in to this template, I replied, that such a graph "would most appropriately be a whole separate graphical timeline." Your contributed article, Largest container leasing companies[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Largest container leasing companies. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – List of container shipping companies by ship fleets and containers. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at List of container shipping companies by ship fleets and containers – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. shoy (reactions) 21:00, 22 December 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Bazel logo.png. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or provided a license tag. Proposed deletion of Black River Beach Neighborhood Center[edit]

Hello, Wikideas1. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Black River Beach Neighborhood Center, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

January 2017[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Microsoft. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Codename Lisa (talk) 05:33, 16 January 2017 (UTC)

You are awful for Wikipedia. Wikideas1 (talk) 05:35, 16 January 2017 (UTC)
I just became aware of the ongoing edit war and fully concur with Codename Lisa's position on this issue. In fact, I'll have to also pull out your edits to Oracle, Google, and Apple as well. It's quite clear that your edits are violating WP:NOT as well as WP:NPOV and the Wikipedia Manual of Style.
There are several key problems with your edits. The first is that the fact that so-and-so company has open-source projects is not notable in and of itself as to warrant a separate section because so many software companies have open source projects nowadays. When even Microsoft is drinking the open-source Kool-Aid, open source just isn't the big deal that it used to be.
It's as if you added a statement to the Wikipedia article on a celebrity that they go to the bathroom or pick their nose every morning. That's probably easily verifiable for many celebrities who have described their morning habits in interviews, but that would be ridiculous to include that in their articles. Verifiability is merely a necessary but not sufficient criterion for inclusion of a fact in Wikipedia.
Second, insofar as many of the projects listed are notable, the correct way to attack the problem is by expanding the prose descriptions of those companies' histories. For example, one could write that in X year, the company first dipped its toe into the open-source world by releasing project A. Then a few paragraphs down, one would add, in Y year, the company renewed its commitment to open source by releasing project B. And so on. --Coolcaesar (talk) 23:35, 16 January 2017 (UTC)

Remember that when adding content about health, please only use high-quality reliable sources as references. We typically use review articles, major textbooks and position statements of national or international organizations (There are several kinds of sources that discuss health: here is how the community classifies them and uses them). WP:MEDHOW walks you through editing step by step. A list of resources to help edit health content can be found here. The edit box has a built-in citation tool to easily format references based on the PMID or ISBN. Thank you for uploading File:OPEC oil exports.png.

Replaceable fair use File:Angela Ahrendts.png[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

Thanks for uploading File:Angela Ahrendts.png. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Aspects (talk) 00:13, 9 February 2017 (UTC)

Your pie chart on List of countries by population (United Nations)[edit]

I have some concerns about the pie chart you've added:

  1. Accessibility is a serious matter: the WMF's non-discrimination policy specifically prohibits "discrimination against current or prospective users... on the basis of... disability." Here's what your pie chart looks like to people with red–green colour blindness. I understand you're trying to use a colour scheme based on flag colours but even if you insist on doing that, don't put reds and greens next to each other.
  1. The labels for the smaller wedges are cluttered and confusing (plus "Congo" is ambiguous) and frankly those wedges add no useful information beyond what the reader can see in the table. I'd suggest showing only the countries up to Japan.
  1. The current title is too vague: something like "Countries by proportion of world population" would be better. Indicate not only the year of the data but the actual source, e.g. "2017 UN projections". Indicate in the file description exactly where you got the data from (e.g. link to a spreadsheet from a reliable source) when you upload the chart onto Commons. Note that the actual data in the table is for 2015 and 2016, but the references listed at the bottom also contain the 2017 projections. I expect the UN to issue revised projections for 2017 sometime in the next few months and will update the table when that happens.

I have removed the current chart in the expectation you will address these concerns. Cobblet (talk) 19:21, 24 March 2017 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Valley view mall.jpeg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. Indiscriminate inclusion of images for charts and graphs[edit]

If one is going to include copious amounts of unnecessary images to represent charts and graphs, at a bare minimum, please at least adhere to the MOS:IMAGES and MOS:LAYOUT. Additionally, one should stop making them frameless(!), include at least a semi-descriptive caption (in the lower frame...), and preferably include alt-text (WP:ALT) so visually-impaired individuals (or those of us without graphical displays) may also have access to the same information as sighted readers.

The MediaWiki software includes facilities to generate these charts as HTML/CSS; see: WP:GRAPHS. Image-based (JPEG, PNG, etc.) representation are not only unneeded given the aforementioned graphing feature, but counter to our accessibility policies and guidelines. Thank you for your contributions; Namaste. -- dsprc [talk] 03:47, 20 August 2017 (UTC)

Also: The default vehicle for conveying information is prose (ie written text); photos/images or charts and-the-like should be ancillary and complimentary to that prose. -- dsprc [talk] 03:54, 20 August 2017 (UTC)

China and US Labor Force Participation?[edit]

What does that headline about China have to do with that plot?

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:SketchUp 3D Warehouse screen shot.png[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:SketchUp 3D Warehouse screen shot.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 1 November 2018 (UTC)

Ways to improve Ship of Fools (book)[edit]

Thanks for creating Ship of Fools (book).

A New Page Patroller SkyGazer 512 just tagged the page as having some issues to fix, and wrote this note for you:

The book certainly seems interesting, but the only source currently is the publisher's website. If possible, please provide multiple reliable, independent sources in the article so that the information can be verified by sources unaffiliated with the book itself and ensure that it meets our notability guidelines.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can reply over here and ping me. Or, for broader editing help, you can talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

SkyGazer 512 Oh no, what did I do this time? 15:30, 6 November 2018 (UTC)

File:Ship of Fools Cover.jpg[edit]

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution[edit]

Hi. I see in a recent addition to Monetary policy of the United States you included material copied from United States Treasury security. That's okay, but you have to give attribution so that our readers are made aware that you copied the prose rather than wrote it yourself. I've added the attribution for this particular instance. Please make sure that you follow this licensing requirement when copying within Wikipedia in the future. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 14:39, 26 December 2018 (UTC)
