Wrugbybox template[edit]

If you want to add more information to the 2009 Women's Six Nations page that's great, but please don't change the wrugbybox template as this template is used to list over 700 results on over 50 different pages, and the resulting changes can severely disrupt the layout of many of these pages. Instead I suggest that you create a new template so that the changes only affect the 2009 Women's RBS 6 Nations Championship page. Johnlbirch (talk) 23:10, 27 February 2009 (UTC)

{{adminhelp}} I'd like to upload Wallaroos logo. I've just got the permission by Samantha Broun, Australian Rugby Union Media Operations Coordinator (she answered by mail). How can I do? Should I ask her for some information about this image? Killer4979 (talk) 08:59, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

Full scores on 2010 WRWC[edit]

Please could you leave the full scorer and other other data for the pool games on 2010 Women's Rugby World Cup instead of the abbreviated information with a link to another page that you have replaced them with. All other women's rugby results on Wikipedia conform to the same format, as do all other results on this page (including the qualifying games, and play-offs). These games are no less important, and placing the information on a separate page does nothing to improve the information the page provides. Johnlbirch (talk) 14:42, 3 January 2011 (UTC)

John, I think you could be more flexible. The pages created by me add some important information about squads, replacements, sin bins and match officials. And then you should have opened this discussion on Talk:2010 Women's Rugby World Cup and given a heading to it. Killer4979 (talk) 17:49, 3 January 2011 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for June 22[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2013 mid-year women's rugby union tests, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Hamilton (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Czech Republic vs Switzerland test match[edit]

Hi, I have details about the women's test match Czech Republic vs Switzerland, 29th of June. I am quite new here and I don't know how to put it to the page yet. Martin Charvat

Hello Martin! First of all, you should remember to sign your posts on talk pages by using the symbol here below. What do you mean by "details"? Do you want to edit this page and create a box entitled "Czech Republic vs Switzerland" (with scorers, teams, substitutions, coaches,...), but you don't know how to do? You could copy a match report of that page on your sandbox page and change information between square brackets. Please remember always to cite the sources on which the data are based. Killer4979 (talk) 14:23, 9 July 2013 (UTC)

Ok, I'll do my best :-). Martin Charvat (talk) 15:41, 9 July 2013 (UTC)

July 2014[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to 2014 Women's Six Nations Championship may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of 2014 Women's Rugby World Cup Pool A, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.rwcwomens.com/home/news/newsid=2069300.html.

2014 Women's Rugby World Cup[edit]

Hello,

I'll try to take pictures during the world cup. I'm not allowed to do that during games, but I can go to the training sessions. Could you give me a list of famous players ? Pyb (talk) 09:58, 1 August 2014 (UTC)

{{WomenRugbyUnionReport}}[edit]

Hello. I saw that you created this template, so was wondering if you could help. I noticed that many matches on articles like 2014 Women's Rugby World Cup have an unfilled pair of square brackets to the left of the match details. When I looked at the template, this appears to be where "code" is supposed to be entered. This led me to two questions:

  1. What is the code? It appears to be filled in on some articles, but not others
  2. Given that it is not being filled in regularly, is it necessary?
  3. If it is necessary, can it be recoded so the brackets only appear when the field is completed?

Cheers, Number 57 10:48, 6 August 2014 (UTC)

The meaning of these codes is explained at the beginning of this section. Killer4979 (talk) 11:30, 6 August 2014 (UTC)
OK, thanks. Given that it is missing for a lot of matches, does it actually need to be displayed? Is it an official code (or something invented on Wikipedia), and is it of any importance? If it is to remain, it really needs some explanation every time it is displayed, as to the uninformed reader (who would most likely never come across that specific section of one article), it doesn't make any sense. Number 57 12:50, 6 August 2014 (UTC)
They're useful for who knows their meaning. Codes are missing only for a few matches because this good work is usually made by another user. Killer4979 (talk) 17:40, 6 August 2014 (UTC)
Are they official codes, or something made up by editors on Wikipedia? Number 57 22:41, 6 August 2014 (UTC)
I don't know if they're official, but they indicate some "international" matches according to this definition. You should ask this question here. Killer4979 (talk) 08:07, 7 August 2014 (UTC)
OK, I think that's a fairly conclusive answer, and I think that means they need to be removed. Thanks, Number 57 11:33, 7 August 2014 (UTC)
Why do they need to be removed? Maybe you spend more time asking if codes are necessary or not than updating these codes on every single match. In my opinion codes must remain because they give some additional (and useful) information. Killer4979 (talk) 11:41, 7 August 2014 (UTC)
The codes are made up by writers on Wikipedia, and are therefore WP:OR. Number 57 12:17, 7 August 2014 (UTC)
No, it's not an original research, but an interwiki research. It's deeply different! This user limited himself to count the matches played by every team. Killer4979 (talk) 13:30, 7 August 2014 (UTC)

Sandbox[edit]

Hi there, I know one isn't really supposed to make changes in another person's sandbox, but I'm busy fixing up links (the South African Rugby Union recently launched a new website using different URLs, so I'm correcting them). I found one in your sandbox which I also updated. I hope it's not a problem! Thanks, TheMightyPeanut (talk) 13:43, 7 August 2015 (UTC)

No problem for me. Thanks Killer4979 (talk) 12:44, 8 August 2015 (UTC)
