Userboxes

[edit]

Well as far as I know, all you do is make a new template such as Template:Userboxnamehere and you put the HTML into that template. There you can use {{Userboxnamehere}} to type in.

I'm pretty new to the Userbox system so I don't know much about how things go a lot, but I think they're more into using HTML and template substitution instead so I'll be a bit careful over this as they might delete the template. --Oakster (Talk) 16:05, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Remember me? The King of Kings 23:46, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No problem with the late reply, I'm American you see. :p Yep, back for good, and I'll be glad to help Paulley with the week-to-week war on the wrestling pages. Sounds like all help is needed. Well, I guess since I'm gay, I should get started with the actual article editing again, shouldn't I? Cheers! The King of Kings 18:39, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
What exactly needs done to the page on there? What kind of information do you need, because low and behold, I'm sure I could find it...let know what it needs, and thanks for the welcome...The Charismatic Enigma 15:25, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Premier League article - managers

[edit]

Why have you removed the reference to Alex Ferguson being appointed manager while his club were in the Football League? I wouldn't have said anything, but another user did the same thing earlier this week. - fchd 17:43, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm guessing it was removed because people forget that before the Premier League started in 1992, every division was "football league". So Alex Ferguson being appointed when Man United were in the football league is correct. I reverted it. Mark272 16:33, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A short Esperanzial update

[edit]

As you may have gathered, discussions have been raging for about a week on the Esperanza talk page as to the future direction of Esperanza. Some of these are still ongoing and warrant more input (such as the idea to scrap the members list altogether). However, some decisions have been made and the charter has hence been amended. See what happened. Basically, the whole leadership has had a reshuffle, so please review the new, improved charter.

As a result, we are electing 4 people this month. They will replace JoanneB and Pschemp and form a new tranche A, serving until December. Elections will begin on 2006-07-02 and last until 2006-07-09. If you wish to run for a Council position, add your name to the list before 2006-07-02. For more details, see Wikipedia:Esperanza/June 2006 elections.

Thanks and kind, Esperanzial regards, —Celestianpower háblame 16:00, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I AM CURRENTLY RUNNING FOR THE ESPERANZA JUNE 06 ELECTIONS. PLEASE CLICK HERE AND VOTE FOR Kingfisherswift FOR A USER'S WIKIPEDIA!!! Kingfisherswift 17:22, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Messages like this could be seen as spamming and vote-stacking, and it's possible they won't be looked on kindly (on your own page it's probably fine, but you might want to limit where you put it). You might want to re-think your strategy. Good luck, Mak (talk) 17:57, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry Kingfisherswift, I can't vote for you as i love you deeply but no that ur have choosen the bent path, my love 4 u is no longer wanted, I will take it elsewhere. — The King of Kings 19:56, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I know you're relatively new, and I wish you all the best in the elections, but there are a few things that are going wrong here. First of all, please stop campaigning. It's ok to have a notice on your own page, but please don't leave messages about it on other's talk pages. Also, your message is a bit confusing and misleading: voters can't vote yet - voting won't start until July 2! And finally, about your slogan: please remember that Esperanza has little or no influence on Wikipedia policy! I will revert your messages, as you even left them on pages for people that were not Esperanza members - so it will be confusing for them, and possibly frustrating or annoying. If you have any questions, let me know. --JoanneB 20:08, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you

Thank you very much, and good luck as well. There are loads of great candidates, all of which I think would make Esperanza proud. Yours, The Halo (talk) 18:14, 27 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
