Hi

How are you? It's been a while. Yashthepunisher (talk) 10:51, 8 October 2017 (UTC)

Yes it has. I'm well. How about you? Seen any good films lately? --Krimuk2.0 (talk) 16:42, 8 October 2017 (UTC)
Yes I just saw blade runner 2049, it was mesmerizing. You? Yashthepunisher (talk) 03:16, 9 October 2017 (UTC)
I thought it was mostly excellent, although after Arrival it fell a bit short of the sky high-expectation I had from Denis. --Krimuk2.0 (talk) 07:59, 9 October 2017 (UTC)
Yes, films like Prisoners, Sicario and Arrival are among my favourites. Anyway, do you have plans to take Queen, Haider or Rajkummar Rao to GA? Yashthepunisher (talk) 10:33, 9 October 2017 (UTC)
No plans yet. Let's see. --Krimuk2.0 (talk) 13:26, 10 October 2017 (UTC)

Kate Winslet

Hello, thanks for the message, really appreciate it. Please go ahead with it and I would love to help in anyways possible. I am currently busy with my Masters and also joined a new job because of which I am not as much active at Wikipedia as before but it will change soon. Sorry for going off topic, as I was saying I am really happy that you are going to do it and again I would like to help as much as I can. Best Regards--Jockzain (talk) 15:21, 11 October 2017 (UTC)

P.S: I really love your work at Kangana Ranaut's article.
Thanks, Jockzain. Thats very kind of you. I'll begin work on the article sometime next week.
And all the very best to you for your degree and job. :) --Krimuk2.0 (talk) 15:33, 11 October 2017 (UTC)

Well done on getting Amy Adams' biography to featured status. That'll be your 30th Featured contribution. Good job! :) Cowlibob (talk) 02:40, 20 October 2017 (UTC)

For your amazing work on Amy Adams' article. I can't believe it's finally an FA now. All thanks to you! Krish | Talk 16:08, 20 October 2017 (UTC)
Thank you! :) I've nominated it for FT, btw. --Krimuk2.0 (talk) 16:21, 20 October 2017 (UTC)
Yes, I got the notification. But I still want to talk about your amazing writing skills in general, and this and Jessica's FA promotion. I am in awe.Krish | Talk 17:49, 20 October 2017 (UTC)
That's very kind. :) I'll be working on Kate Winslet's article next. Will begin either tomorrow or the day after. --Krimuk2.0 (talk) 17:57, 20 October 2017 (UTC)
Great choice. She is joining Avatar and I am super excited for it. She can finally have commercial hits she deserves. By the way, have you forgot about Michelle Williams' list which you were preparing for FL? Why not nominate it right away?Krish | Talk 18:10, 20 October 2017 (UTC)
Oh, yes. Thanks for reminding me of that. I'll tweak it a bit and nominate it asap. --Krimuk2.0 (talk) 18:12, 20 October 2017 (UTC)
By the way, what films, good or bad, have you seen lately?Krish | Talk 18:15, 20 October 2017 (UTC)
Plenty, especially at the Mumbai Film Festival. --Krimuk2.0 (talk) 18:18, 20 October 2017 (UTC)
Good to know. I, on the other hand, have seen very few films after May which includes Dunkirk, Blade Runner 20149, It and Kingsman: The Golden Circle. I loved first three a lot and found the latter very boring. Plus I saw all these in IMAX and I am loving the IMAX experience. As far as Hindi films are concerned, I saw Subh Mangal Shavdhaan, Simran and Judwaa 2. I loved the first one, liked the second but hated the last one.Krish | Talk 18:36, 20 October 2017 (UTC)
I've stopped seeing most Hindi films. They don't interest me any longer. The ones that do are the small-scale ones, such as A Death in the Gunj and Lipstick Under My Burkha, both of which were pretty damn good. --Krimuk2.0 (talk) 18:55, 20 October 2017 (UTC)
Yeah. Me too. Now, hindi films don't interest me at all.Krish | Talk 19:23, 20 October 2017 (UTC)

Awards in filmography tables

I think the awards in the filmography tables should be removed. After all there is an awards page for a reason. What do you think? On a side note, I wanted to ask, are producers nominated for Best Foreign language Oscar or just the directors?Krish | Talk 15:37, 21 October 2017 (UTC)

There was a consensus among editors working on Indian film-related articles to mention NFA and Filmfare Awards in filmography lists.
As for the foreign language oscar, it's awarded not to individual producers or directors but to the country. The director accepts the award on behalf of his country. --Krimuk2.0 (talk) 17:37, 21 October 2017 (UTC)
No I am talking about the nomination. Since Lagaan was a nominee, what does that mean? Was it Aamir who got nominated or Ashutosh Gowarikar? Krish | Talk 17:55, 21 October 2017 (UTC)
Neither. The nominee is India. --Krimuk2.0 (talk) 17:59, 21 October 2017 (UTC)
So why it is mentioned in Aamir Khan's lead that he is an Academy Award nominee? I noticed it when you tagged the article today.Krish | Talk 18:16, 21 October 2017 (UTC)
It doesn't say he was nominated. It says the film was nominated, which it was. --Krimuk2.0 (talk) 18:18, 21 October 2017 (UTC)
Not the filmography but the main article. These are the words" "He is the recipient of numerous awards, including four National Film Awards and nine Filmfare Awards, as well as an Academy Award nomination."Krish | Talk 18:24, 21 October 2017 (UTC)
I haven't written a word of that awful first paragraph, which is why I added that tag today. I've only written the 2-4 paras, atleast a version of it as someone might have changed it. --Krimuk2.0 (talk) 18:31, 21 October 2017 (UTC)

Historical inaccuracies in film

I am currently finishing historical accuracy section of Bajirao Mastani and I am confused with what to really write about it. Since the lectures that their descendants gave prior to the release can be termed dumb as the film pretty much showed what they wanted: Mastani was not a coutasean; she was a warrior married to Bajirao's sword, Bajirao was a great King, amazing in guerrilla warfare etc. Several historians were also barking even before seeing the film and they wanted to see the facts (which were already present in the film) such as the family being totally against of Mastani etc. Though I know the ending is not accurate and song and dance is another part of it. So do you think I should only mention the ending and the dance parts after writing how even Historians don't know about the stuff? Krish | Talk 17:59, 24 October 2017 (UTC)

This mad me sad

Your edit. Do they really refer to other actors by those names frequently also? Bollyjeff | talk 16:26, 3 November 2017 (UTC)

@Bollyjeff: oh, please feel free to revert me if you don't agree with me on this. I've been seeing a lot of monikers added to the 2 other Khan articles, calling them The Sultan of Bollywood, or Tiger Khan, and what not (check out the opening para of Aamir Khan's article, for instance; these claims are sourced, of course, because our Indian media loves these). I think it's better to avoid most of these altogether, don't you think? I kept the "King Khan" bit because it's a widely known name that's also used by the international media, but the rest seem a bit superfluous if you ask me. But I won't mind if you feel otherwise. --Krimuk2.0 (talk) 17:43, 3 November 2017 (UTC)
Okay I will think about it. I mean there are books naming him KoB Bollyjeff | talk 18:15, 3 November 2017 (UTC)

Kate Winslet

I notice that you are doing great work on the Kate Winslet page. However, she has lived in two places in West Sussex, not as you imply one. When she moved back to the UK she lived in Treyford, which is in the Southdowns National Park (ie: country side), and cost her £2M. She now lives by the seaside at West Wittering, paying £3.25M for the privelege!! Wilfridselsey (talk) 17:05, 5 November 2017 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for the message.
Yep, I did come across this in my research. Mentioning all her residences seemed a bit too much to me. So I chose to mention just the West Wittering place because that's where she currently resides with her family. --Krimuk2.0 (talk) 19:27, 5 November 2017 (UTC)
That's fine, but you are mixing the two residences up. West Wittering is known for it's fine beaches, not spectacular countryside. Treyford is in the Southdowns National Park so is known for it's countryside. She was quoted as saying that she liked living in the countryside in 2015. However, not sure that we should describe W. Wittering as countryside, I don't think the residents would agree. My suggestion would be that you change " ...purchased a property worth £3.25 million in the countryside of West Wittering" to "..purchased a property worth £3.25 million by the sea at West Wittering". It would put it in context. What do you think? Wilfridselsey (talk) 08:59, 6 November 2017 (UTC)
I see. Thank you for the explanation. Having never visited the UK, I don't know much about its geography. Anyway, I've changed "the countryside" to "by the sea" as per your suggestion. Cheers, Krimuk2.0 (talk) 09:10, 6 November 2017 (UTC)
Thanks. I live in the area, she is trying to build a 500ft sea wall outside her property, so it features in the local paper quite a lot!! Best wishes. Wilfridselsey (talk) 09:31, 6 November 2017 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you so much for your kind words on my talk page a few days ago. Since you already watched the movie, I was wondering if you could help me write the article's plot section. Your help would be very much appreciated. Damian Vo (talk) 06:31, 18 November 2017 (UTC)

Hey, sure thing. Although I need to refresh my memory as I saw the film over a month ago. Cheers, Krimuk2.0 (talk) 07:36, 18 November 2017 (UTC)

I would appreciate your comments for this one, Krimuk mere dost. Krimuk, seeing your copyedits on The Tree of Life awards list, I would very much appreciate if you could give a good copyedit for the critical response section of this film. It is undergoing an FAR at the moment (the article was improved to FA by Kailash29792) and it would be great if you agreed to do this. Thanks.  — Ssven2 Looking at you, kid 13:39, 29 November 2017 (UTC)

Tumhari Vidya

Tumhari Sulu has opened to strong reviews. So get ready to add this film in her lead. I want this film to do very well so that she can reclaim her power. A supremely talented actress like her is struggling and it's frustrating as hell. What do you think?Krish | Talk 18:18, 16 November 2017 (UTC)

Yep, let's see how well it does at the box office. --Krimuk2.0 (talk) 18:21, 16 November 2017 (UTC)
Did you get a chance to see the film? I haven't seen it yet but I am so happy that it is doing decent business at the Box Office.Krish | Talk 10:18, 30 November 2017 (UTC)
Not yet. I'll probably watch it this weekend. --Krimuk2.0 (talk) 13:44, 30 November 2017 (UTC)
I think you should remove Te3n from her lead as it didn't do much for her career and even her role was not that acclaimed.Krish | Talk 14:02, 30 November 2017 (UTC)

Kate Winslet

You may not have noticed, but the content of the article itself is unchanged. It's still the same single sentence. The quote is back in the refs section, and another ref has been added to back up the assertion that she did not use a merkin. This has been the content for many years, and there is no good reason to remove it.

That she did not use a merkin is contrary to numerous inaccurate reports by other sources, including ones we normally consider RS. They say she did use one. Therefore we have to use her own words. The reason this has any importance is because it has been widely reported, using the quote itself, to claim she DID use a merkin. That was done by only using part of the quote. Writers have done shoddy work and misread her. By providing the full quote and the extra source, we help to clear up this misunderstanding. -- BullRangifer (talk) 03:47, 3 December 2017 (UTC)

Hello again! I hope that you are having a wonderful week so far. I was wondering if you could possibly help me with my current FAC? For your recent edits on Saoirse Ronan, and, as I see, on many other "filmic" topics, done with delicacy and care, and referencing. We were today able to uprate Ms Ronan's article, and while I see diverse hands were at work, you both led contributions, and wove things together. Thanks! SeoR (talk) 22:58, 16 December 2017 (UTC)

Award winner Sulu

So happy that Vidya finally got what she deserves. Plus, happy for Irrfan, Neha and Rajkummar. Now I am more excited to Tumhari Sulu. By the way, I'm not sure if Irrfan had won Popular because that category was retired last year and Critics actor was started ....So I think the Best Actor was given to Irrfan and Critics one was given to Rajkummar.....But I'm not sure.Krish | Talk 18:41, 3 December 2017 (UTC)

Yeah, their categories are all over the place as usual. But from what I gather, Irrfan did win the popular choice award. --Krimuk2.0 (talk) 19:12, 3 December 2017 (UTC)
But I saw the name on Irrfan's award which says Best Actor Male.....and Vidya's award has Best Actor Female name on it. It is also known that the main Filmfare Best Actor award is referred as Popular while the Critics Award, is well referred as Critics. So technically Irrfan is calling the main Best Actor award as Popular and not the retired "Screen Award popular". Plus Rajkumar has won Critics award.Krish | Talk 19:47, 3 December 2017 (UTC)
You're right. Some sources didn't report this properly. Irrfan won Best Actor; Rajkummar won Best Actor (Critics); Vidya won Best Actress; Konkona won Best Actress (Critics). --Krimuk2.0 (talk) 06:56, 4 December 2017 (UTC)
Hey! Are you sure Vidya won the "popular" award. Majority of the sites shows that Konkona won the popular award and Vidya was given the critics. -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 02:17, 5 December 2017 (UTC)
I don't know how I missed your message. But, hi! Yes, looking through the Twitter feeds, I spotted pictures of the awards that each of the actors received. There was no "popular" award given. Vidya and Irrfan won the Best Actor and Actress; and Rajkummar and Konkona won Best Actor and Actress (Critics). The reference used in Vidya's article mentions it correctly. :) --Krimuk2.0 (talk) 15:16, 18 December 2017 (UTC)

Passengers

Have you seen the film? It's actually one of those films which get buried by critics due to some dumb reasons. You should watch it. And, did I mention the stunning/haunting score?Krish | Talk 21:52, 23 December 2017 (UTC)

I had read the script many years ago -- before the film went into production -- and I didn't like it much. But I did hear the film's score recently and loved it. Thomas Newman is a genius. --Krimuk2.0 (talk) 06:37, 24 December 2017 (UTC)
Indeed, he is. Whole soundtrack is just amazing. I usually don't hear the score of films but the end credits got me. You know what I saw the film (this summer) §on the same day I finished 13 Reasons Why, so whenever I hear the "Accidental Happiness" and "Sugarcoat the Galaxy", I think about Clay and Hannah. There is sadness mixed with happiness in those music pieces and yes, it's marvelous.Krish | Talk 14:07, 24 December 2017 (UTC)

Jessica Chastain, this year's Amy Adams?

Do you think it is possible that Jessica might get snubbed for Molly's Game? I mean Meryl Streep, Frances Mcdormand, Sally Hawkins, Soarise Ronan and Margot Robbie (that's right; remember you told me she is a terrible actress last year) are already a lock. What do you think? I mean the first four are the absolute locks and the fifth can go to either Chastain or Robbie. Amy Adams' snub still hurts.Krish | Talk 06:56, 29 December 2017 (UTC)

It might happen. Who knows? I've seen I, Tonya, and Margot Robbie is absolutely sensational in it (for the first time in her career, which might tip things in her favour). Yet to see Molly's Game. Can't wait. --Krimuk2.0 (talk) 06:59, 29 December 2017 (UTC)
Who do you think will win Best Actress since Best Actor is already a lock (Gary Oldman)?Krish | Talk 15:46, 4 January 2018 (UTC)
I haven't seen Darkest Hour yet, but I'll be watching it this weekend. From the ones I've seen, Timothée Chalamet is my absolute favourite to win Best Actor. As for the actresses, Saoirse Ronan is incomparable. She's the best out there -- in the same league as Streep, Blanchett, Winslet, etc. One performance that surprisingly isn't gearing much awards attention is Brooklynn Prince in The Florida Project. She's terrific in it. Of course, I haven't seen Molly's Game yet. So let's see. --Krimuk2.0 (talk) 16:08, 4 January 2018 (UTC)

Can you please help me by giving its plot section a copyedit? I'm not really good at it and I can't put a GOCE request since it takes too much time and its currently at the GAN. Yashthepunisher (talk) 13:33, 2 January 2018 (UTC)

Hey, I'll take a look at it sometime this week. --Krimuk2.0 (talk) 13:39, 2 January 2018 (UTC)

What's up?

You seem like a quality editor, but you also seem to have zero respect for things like the three-revert rule: you didn't just perform three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. You did three reverts in a span of six minutes. Wow! I don't like filing edit war reports with the administrators, but please explain to me why I shouldn't in this case. Please let me know that you actually want to collaborate and not OWN and fight. DocKino (talk) 06:52, 15 January 2018 (UTC)

I don't care for such sanctimonious, holier-than-thou messages in which editors accuse others of OWN while degrading the quality of FA-class articles. Thank you. --Krimuk2.0 (talk) 06:53, 15 January 2018 (UTC)
Also, DocKino, if you want to file a report and get me blocked, do so. The encyclopaedia will be grateful to have lesser FA-class articles, that I otherwise would have contributed to. --Krimuk2.0 (talk) 06:55, 15 January 2018 (UTC)
First, congratulations for taking Kate Winslet to FA. Great job. Second, I apologize for the OWN flame in edit summary. I was triggered by the appeal to authority. John's definitely a great asset to the community, but neither he nor anyone else belongs at the center of a revert edit summary. Agreed? Third and last, I look forward to working constructively with you going forward. I know you're on the side of the angels. Best, DocKino (talk) 09:59, 15 January 2018 (UTC)
Thank you. Apologies for snapping at you as well -- I'm not the most patient person. Let's work this out together. Cheers, --Krimuk2.0 (talk) 10:01, 15 January 2018 (UTC)

TFL notification

Hi, Krimuk. I'm just posting to let you know that Shahid Kapoor filmography – a list that you have been heavily involved with – has been chosen to appear on the Main Page as Today's featured list for February 26. The TFL blurb can be seen here. If you have any thoughts on the selection, please post them on my talk page or at TFL talk. Regards, Giants2008 (Talk) 23:17, 29 January 2018 (UTC)

Sorry, long overdue

The Editor's Barnstar
Can't believe I didn't give you one of these a long time ago, but better late than never. You deserve this and many more for your incredibly brilliant work on an even more incredible number of articles. Your tireless efforts are greatly appreciated, indeed. ShahidTalk2me 19:41, 31 January 2018 (UTC)
Thank you, Shshshsh. It means a lot to receive this from you. I do hope you're back to work on Wikipedia for good. --Krimuk2.0 (talk) 06:32, 1 February 2018 (UTC)

Kate Winslet

The Golden Eagle award
To the one who has always been brilliant, from the one who has always been annoyingly regressive, for Kate Winslet's FAC success. Let your eyes fall on the interesting preys and make them fertile from barren stubs and poorly written trash. Regards, Pavanjandhyala 15:10, 31 January 2018 (UTC)
Why thank you, but why would you call yourself "annoyingly regressive"? --Krimuk2.0 (talk) 17:54, 31 January 2018 (UTC)
Because, well, i have my own reasons. The answer is as hidden as "Why Pavanjandhyala uses i instead of I when referring to himself?" because it is personal. Good luck for your future projects. Pavanjandhyala 10:22, 1 February 2018 (UTC)

Images

Hey Krimuk, I hope you're doing well. I was wondering if you knew of any website(s) that has free-liscene images for Punjabi actors as Bollywood Hungama doesn't seem to have any. Also, Rani Mukherjee and Deepika Padukone look wonderful in their lastest lead images. VedantTalk 17:42, 23 February 2018 (UTC)

Hi, Vedant. Umm... I am only aware of licensing agreements between Bollywood Hungama and Filmy Tadka. Alternately, there might be some images on Flickr for commercial use. --Krimuk2.0 (talk) 18:01, 23 February 2018 (UTC)
Thank you, I've looked up BH and Flickr, I'll try Filming Tadka. VedantTalk 14:58, 24 February 2018 (UTC)

RIP

Unexpected and shocking, and I was watching English Vinglish just yesterday afternoon. Almost every celebrity in India has expressed their condolences.  — Ssven2 Looking at you, kid 07:59, 25 February 2018 (UTC)

Absolutely heartbreaking. She was extraordinary in English Vinglish, which is my favourite film of hers. I wish more directors had cast her in these final years of her life. :( --Krimuk2.0 (talk) 08:01, 25 February 2018 (UTC)
Any favourite films of hers? Mine are of course 16 Vayathinile, Moondram Pirai and Mr. India.  — Ssven2 Looking at you, kid 09:29, 25 February 2018 (UTC)
My favourites are English Vinglish and Sadma. Some like Chandni, Chaalbaaz, and Judaai were guilty pleasures of my childhood. :) Krimuk2.0 (talk) 17:08, 25 February 2018 (UTC)
