IGT tasks[edit]

Further to your query about using IGT tasks in the scanner why don't you email me at (address removed to avoid spam) to discuss further. You may find your fMRI scanner can't image the OFC... --PaulWicks 13:57, 7 April 2006 (UTC)

Tesla rocks![edit]

Thank you for your notice on my talk page on the Talk:Tesla Roadster page! I see this user is really doing something unwanted and hardly tolerable. Should we ask a user block (for the little it can do)? I'm not really used to such things and I'm not sure I understand what you wrote to me.
BTW, should we continue here or on my talk?

Your external link addition to Velomobile[edit]

After I cleaned out the spam from the EL section of Velomobile, I saw the one you added and it looks pretty good. In fact, I think it's probably reference quality. If you have the time at some point, you may want to consider formatting it as an imbedded citation. The article does not have any currently.

Anyway, it's hardly my area of expertise (I was just gnoming around), but just wanted to say thanks and nice job! -- Satori Son 22:44, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for your feedback on my draft of this article. Thought you'd like to know I've finally posted it to the mainspace. Cheers! Richc80 (talk) 04:04, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

Hi. The technical folks fixed it all up for us. You can use the template:eol normally now. :) -- Quiddity (talk) 17:09, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

Welcome to SfN project[edit]

I noticed you added the SfN initiative userbox, and I just wanted to say welcome! --Tryptofish (talk) 18:31, 28 July 2009 (UTC)

Welcome to userfied User:Virdi/CyanogenMod[edit]

Hi. Thanks for contributing to the CyanogenMod article in my userspace.

The CyanogenMod article was userfied and moved to User:Virdi/CyanogenMod until it satisfies Wikipedia requirements. Please help improving it and getting the necessary sources. We can move the article back once it's ready.

Thank You. virdi (talk) 07:03, 30 September 2009 (UTC)

BLP sticky template[edit]

Hi Kslays! If there is any consensus at at all, it is that the entire discussion has become a tangled confusion, and as a result both proponents and opponents of the issues under discussion are abandoning ship. None of us want this. Your work on the template is valuable, even though it is stil possible that consensus might not be reached in favour of its use. However, In an attempt to keep the policy discussion on an even track, some users have decided to create a special workshop page for the development of the template at WT:BLP PROD TPL. It is designed keep the quite different major aspects of the BLP issue separate off the policy discussion and talk page, and help to move this whole debate towards a decision some kind or another. The page is well linked in a way that watchers will still find their way to it, the policy comments have been kept intact on the main talk page, and the main contributors to all sides of the the discussion are being informed. Cheers. --Kudpung (talk) 22:04, 6 March 2010 (UTC)

BLP sticky prod[edit]

Hi Kslays ! The template workshop has now split off most of the long threads purely on policy to a new discussion page so that policy can be established while technical development of the template can continue in its own space. When the template functions are finalised, the policy bits can be merged into them. If you intend to continue to contribute your ideas to the development of the template or its policy of use, and we hope you will, please consider either adding your name to the list of workshop members, or joining in with the policy discussions on the new page. --Kudpung (talk) 06:38, 15 March 2010 (UTC)

Sticky prods -- hopefully the last time :)[edit]

Hi. You participated earlier in the sticky prod workshop. The sticky prods are now in use, but there are still a few points of contention.

There are now a few proposals on the table to conclude the process.

I encourage your input, whatever it might be. Thanks. Maurreen (talk) 16:16, 4 April 2010 (UTC)

Reviewer permission[edit]

Wikipedia Reviewer.svg

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 17:08, 7 July 2010 (UTC)

Your feedback on BIRN entry[edit]

Hi Kslays -

thanks for your thorough guidance on using Wikipedia. Just wanted to let you know that I have someone looking into the derivative text issue for BIRN, & will review the ISI text to be sure it doesn't infringe with what we have on that site. btw, I was a journalist in a former life, so I'm pretty familiar with taking a neutral perspective -- it's sensitivity to the clients that's the issue here. It'll be much easier to take an unbiased approach with your explicit requirement to do so. Mbekey (talk) 17:50, 20 May 2010 (UTC) Michelle Bekey

hi Kslays --

thanks for leaving the BIRN revise intact, which I take it means that this version is OK. Question: on a couple of the external links, the box with the arrow doesn't display; there's a blank space or weird punctuation instead. I tried redoing these link repeatedly & couldn't get them to come out right. Is there a tecnique to get rid of such formatting errors, if that's what they are?

Thanks. -- Mbekey —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mbekey (talkcontribs) 00:41, 8 July 2010 (UTC)

Hi Kslays --

thanks for the tips -- there is definitely a learning curve on this. I saved the previous edits many times because I'd had a couple of sets of changes disappear after I previewed them, & didn't want it to happen again. Will read up & see what I'm doing wrong. I do really appreciate your thoroughness! -- Mbekey —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mbekey (talkcontribs) 21:43, 8 July 2010 (UTC)

Hi Mbekey, yeah, sometimes it can take a while to get used to editing Wikipedia. Sorry to hear you lost your edits previewing them - you have to remember to press the "Save page" button even though it looks like a final version! Glad you're keeping with it :) I made some comments on the Talk:Biomedical Informatics Research Network page, check it out. Also, you should add pages you're interested in to your watchlist by clicking the star on the upper right next to the history tab. -kslays (talkcontribs) 19:20, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Ways to improve Harold Goodglass[edit]

Hi, I'm Anne Delong. Kslays, thanks for creating Harold Goodglass!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Please add citations to your text so that it is clear which references verify which facts about Dr. Goodglass. I have added one for you. Thanks. —Anne Delong (talk) 02:02, 20 March 2013 (UTC)

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Disambiguation link notification for November 25[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Elastic net regularization, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page JMP (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
