piling pictures on top of others[edit]

Hi Kungming2, This is probably long since outdated, but I just thought I'd let you know that you uploaded a picture over another user's picture back in September 2006. I've noticed that by accident and have uploaded the picture to Commons to make it available to the wider public again. I assume this was just a mishap from your part; just if it wasn't, I'd kindly ask you to respect the work of other users and not upload onto their works. Thanks, Ibn Battuta 04:31, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

Apologies, but at that time I felt so as not to duplicate images that had the same subject matter - otherwise, the end result would be an orphaned image notice for the other user as well. Don't worry, it won't happen again. Thanks for the info. –- kungming·2 (Talk) 14:22, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
No need to apologize--as I wrote, I didn't expect this to be still an on-going practice... And yes, you're right of course - before the Commons (and its possibility to categorize images or arrange them on extra pages), such images did really get lost easily. So I guess your upload actually saved this one! :o) --Ibn Battuta 00:00, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

to editor of wikipedia[edit]

Hello, I was wondering why every time I write something very important that will help children gain knowledge in words, why you keep deleting it? Please reply. -Mystery editor (blondeychck7)

Because your edits aren't actually helpful, and please help Wikipedia professional, rather than having childish edits to articles. Thanks! –- kungming·2 (Talk) 23:43, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

Hey there, Kungming![edit]

Been awhile since I've checked in. How are you doing? How is school? RL and Wikilife both going fine here. Getting close to my first 1,000 edits, I think. =) I've mostly turned into a wikignome, but I have enjoyed protecting a wide range of pages from POV-creep and have even significantly c/e'd a few! Still yet to create page, but I'm sure I'll get around to it someday soon. =) Take care! --guyzero | talk 21:49, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

I finally hit 1,000 edits (including talk pages, etc), and just passed 1 year editing wikipedia two days ago. =) Thought if I should share the news with anyone, it should be with the guy that adopted me, heh. Take care! --guyzero | talk 00:59, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

Ostrich[edit]

Your edit to the Ostrich article was pure vandalism. You edited a simple fact and you denied the public from seeing it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Westvoja (talkcontribs) 22:03, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

.... I really am tired of self-righteous vandals. Ask other people on the talk page if you want. –- kungming·2 02:22, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

Super Bowl[edit]

This edit was probably not appropriate. The changes you reverted were not all vandalism. Superm401 - Talk 03:29, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

There was so much vandalism going on at the time, some edits were bound to have been accidentally reverted. In the end though, that's better than having "GIANTS RULE!!" as the article, right? –- kungming·2 03:53, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

got a message that i changed something[edit]

hey I'm a frequent user of wiki but haven't signed up or anything but i just got a message that i vandalized the New Zealand page by replacing words with OZZY. I never did this, I've never even changed anything on wikipedia. I have no idea what this is about, you sent me a message that said i could be blocked from wiki so I'm kind of worried. I'm sorry but you must have made a mistake.

Request Lock on Jin Dynasty (1115-1234) page to prevent vandalism[edit]

From the last discussion and a poll by participating members have decided it is wrong to say the origin of the Jin Dynasty rulers are koreans. However, nationalist koreans have once again added the section that Jin Dynasty rulers are from Korea. This is unreasonable and unethnical. And this have been ongoing for some time now which will end up as an edit war sooner or later.

Reading from your contributions i trust that you are a responsible, fair and capable member of wikipedia. I would be greatful if protection can be initiated on the Jin Dynasty page.

Regards

Hi[edit]

I noticed that you've commented on the talk page for Han Dynasty in the past. I recently rewrote the entire article. Since you've showed interest in the past, would you mind leaving a comment on the talk page about its current state? I'm trying to build further consensus on how to improve the article.--Pericles of AthensTalk 19:15, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Betty Brown[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

Please do not make statements attacking people or groups of people. Wikipedia has a strict policy against personal attacks. Attack pages and images are not tolerated by Wikipedia and are speedily deleted. Users who continue to create or repost such pages and images in violation of our biographies of living persons policy will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thank you.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Re: Fellow Princetonian[edit]

Hello, sorry for the late response; I took a well-needed break from editing for a few months and never bothered to check my talk page in the process. I suppose I'm starting again because reading period hijinks got me bored enough to come back. Anyhow, I'm currently class of '12. — sephiroth bcr (converse) 02:16, 20 January 2010 (UTC)

Thanks[edit]

Thanks for not lapsing into sarcasm or mockery in your comment as many of the other contributors to this {{afd}} did.

I've requested userification of this article. The nominator failed to observe the courtesy recommended in the deletion policies of informing the contributor who started the article (me) that the article was being considered for deletion.

I trust your judgment that being a deputy director of personnel is not an important post. You suggested that if he had been deputy director of personnel at Guantanamo it might be a different story. His actual post at Guantanamo was, I believe, more significant than that. He was listed as the "OIC CSRT". A Rear Admiral J.M. McGarrah was the director of the Office for the Administrative Review of Detained Enemy Combatants. "OIC CSRT" would be "Officer In Charge Combatant Status Review Tribunals" -- ie the most senior deputy of this agency.

I think it was a serious mistake on the part of the nominator to fail to advise me that they had nominated the article for deletion. My thanks again for keeping your comments substantive and collegial. Geo Swan (talk) 18:29, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

Reverting Vandalism[edit]

I had archived our discussion because I thought it wouldn't be followed up. I saw that you replied after I had archived, and you had to start a new section. I brought the old thread out of archive and added your comments onto the end of it. I thought that it would help clarity. If you disagree, then do please feel free to revert the edits. If you do then you might like to restore the left hand version of this diff. Hopefully you don't mind. Fly by Night (talk) 22:21, 24 November 2010 (UTC)

German Bowdoin College article[edit]

Hi, can you place the Bowdoin College seal: File:Bowdoin College Seal.png right next to the table of contents of the German (Deutsch) Bowdoin College article - it says that the file has a copyright and I saw that you placed it somehow in the English Bowdoin article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.66.26.69 (talk) 11:48, 12 February 2012 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Cristin milioti 120913.jpg[edit]

A tag has been placed on File:Cristin milioti 120913.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. [2], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:

  • state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
  • add the relevant copyright tag.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 13:46, 10 December 2013 (UTC)
