Speedy deletion declined: Draft:Siberian Soviet Republic

[edit]

Hello LaundryPizza03. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Draft:Siberian Soviet Republic, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: CSD G3 previously declined, please use MfD or just leave it for 6 months. Thank you. CoconutOctopus talk 21:30, 22 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Moving pages

[edit]

Hi, I noticed that you request technical moves at WP:RMTR relatively frequently. It's ok to continue doing that, but since you are a page mover, you can perform most bold moves yourself via WP:ROUNDROBIN. You can use this script for that. Make sure to review WP:RMUM (you can use this to check the move history) and relevant naming conventions if there are any, and perform the needed cleanup (which is retargeting redirects, updating the page name in navboxes and disambiguation pages, and updating the page itself if needed). HurricaneZetaC 03:27, 24 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, I was able to use this just fine. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 08:44, 24 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

TfD

[edit]

Why are you nominating so many editnotices for deletion at TfD? voorts (talk/contributions) 23:53, 24 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Large-scale cleanup of ones placed at redirects. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 23:54, 24 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
But why? voorts (talk/contributions) 23:55, 24 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know of any policy that says redirects can't have editnotices. voorts (talk/contributions) 23:56, 24 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The problem is that they are useless because they are barely visible. You are invited to participate at Wikipedia_talk:Templates_for_discussion#Category:Editnotices_whose_targets_are_redirects or the TfD's. At this point, I think I have checked all the editnotices, just in time for Christmas. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 23:58, 24 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I have a broader objection so I'm going to raise it at WP:VPP rather than participate in each of the individual TfD discussions. voorts (talk/contributions) 00:02, 25 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Or I suppose you could merge the TfDs. voorts (talk/contributions) 00:07, 25 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: User:0hiostae0099/sandbox

[edit]

Hello LaundryPizza03. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of User:0hiostae0099/sandbox, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not blatantly vandalism or a hoax. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 13:45, 29 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I recently removed a speedy delete tag that you had placed on Draft:Shimul Borman. I do not think that Draft:Shimul Borman fits any of the speedy deletion criteria  because it isn't patent nonsense, although I admit it's undeveloped.. If you wish, you may try using the simple proposed deletion (PROD) process, or the full articles for deletion (AfD) process, instead, if this was an article, or another process such as MfD or XfD as appropriate. Chess enjoyer (talk) 02:08, 30 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Not applicable there, but understood. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 02:10, 30 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
If you're referring to the part about PROD/AFD, it's baked into the template. Chess enjoyer (talk) 02:13, 30 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
LaundryPizza03, I also removed the tag you placed on Draft:The Pillars of game development, as it wasn't a test page. I see that you've made quite a few requests recently, which has created an administrative backlog. Might I ask what prompted this? Chess enjoyer (talk) 02:37, 30 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know why I started this, but I found that a surprisingly large fraction of declined drafts in certain subcategories are likely CSD-able. Thus far, most of the G3 and G11 nominations have been successful. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 03:01, 30 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I see. So it's just a couple outliers I've caught then. They're all going to be deleted eventually under G13, but I guess there's nothing wrong with finding a reason to delete them a little sooner. Chess enjoyer (talk) 03:30, 30 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Menchaca & Rodríguez

[edit]

Hello LaundryPizza03, I've already improved Cristian Menchaca's article by adding sources that directly discuss him.

The article has now been revised: the incorrect URL has been fixed, and the references have been replaced with realiable secondary sources that explicitly mention and discuss Menchaca. If you feel that these changes adress the concerns raised, I would kindly ask whether you could remove the proposed deletion template, please.

Regarding Rodríguez, I'll follow up shortly.-- Carigval.97 (talk) 13:24, 31 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 13:25, 31 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Kavanaugh stop

[edit]

Hi. I was going to create a new article on Kavanaugh stop. I was going to begin with the existing material from June_2025_Los_Angeles_protests_against_mass_deportation#Vasquez_Perdomo_v._Noem. I noticed you have a draft of that article ... your draft looks nice, but it looks like you've not yet gotten to adding cites yet. I'll go ahead and create the new article in main space (by copying the text from June_2025_Los_Angeles_protests_against_mass_deportation#Vasquez_Perdomo_v._Noem, and you can then add your material any time you feel is right. I hope that is okay? Normally, there is no rush on these kinds of things, but I've seen "Kavanaugh" stop in the news the past few days, so I think WP needs an article on it fairly soon. Let me know what you think. Noleander (talk) 17:47, 31 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't create the draft originally. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 17:47, 31 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, sorry to bother you. I've created the new article at Kavanaugh stop. Maybe I'll try to merge the draft text into it. On the other hand, it is usually better to start with sources & go from there. Noleander (talk) 17:51, 31 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hello LaundryPizza03. You should consider requesting Template Editor Rights

[edit]

Hey there. I've noticed your Template edit requests a few times here and there, and figured I should send you a note. You should absolutely request Template Editor rights. It definitely looks like you meet all the requirements, and I think you'd breeze right through the process. While it wouldn't have helped in the case of Template:Editnotice, as it was fully protected, the right would have saved you from a decent number of edit requests in recent times. phuzion (talk) 12:34, 6 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Declined speedy deletions

[edit]

Regarding the above two declines, user:ONUnicorn had already declined the speedy deletion requests. If you think it was a mistake, you can discuss it with the declinging admin but you should not add the speedy deletion tag back. It's edit warring and you really should know better. -- Whpq (talk) 22:40, 8 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I've opened an MfD about this dispute. It requires assessment by a language expert. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 22:45, 8 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Radio band AfD bundle

[edit]

Hello, I see that you, in good faith, named all the articles by wavelength/radio band, but it becomes completely unfeasible for the community to evaluate more than 300 nominations simultaneously. I propose this be discussed directly in the Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Radio Stations or or be nominated gradually. Thank you for your attention. Svartner (talk) 08:09, 13 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

The reasoning behind the AfD implies that all the articles should be deleted. There have been similar bulk nominations in the past, like Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Transit of Venus from Uranus. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 08:14, 13 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Question about citation

[edit]

Hi LaundryPizza03, Do I reference any citations within my edit statement or elsewhere?

I am new so thanks for the help. — Preceding unsigned comment added by WilliamGoonsO7 (talkcontribs) 08:46, 22 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@WilliamGoonsO7: In order to add a citation, you use the "<ref>" tags; see Help:Referencing for beginners for more details. Also, new discussions at talk pages always go at the bottom. There is an "Add topic" button that opens a new section. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 08:49, 22 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the help, just to disclose does that go within the article or the edit summary? WilliamGoonsO7 (talk) 08:51, 22 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
It goes directly in the article, after the statement which is to be cited. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 08:52, 22 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Just made an edit with a citation, believed i used correctly... WilliamGoonsO7 (talk) 08:56, 22 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that is correct. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 09:02, 22 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Copyvio: Shamima Rahman

[edit]

Hello! I just checked the copyvio report for the page, and was hoping you could help me out. There are several instances of the text being flagged as copied that might need reconsideration:

1. Name of the university, name of hospital, her designation, or her speciality. Eg: Professor of paediatric metabolic medicine, Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health, paediatrics at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children. 2. Technical terms/phrases, eg: Molecular basis of cytochrome c oxidase deficiency, novel computational diagnostic strategies, sequence analysis of candidate genes, complex I assembly factor, genes needed for mitochondrial DNA maintenance. 3. Quoted text, eg. "identify novel nuclear genes and gene variants responsible for human mitochondrial disease."

Not much can be changed in the case of 1 and 2, in my opinion, especially 1. Curious to hear your thoughts!

Also, thanks for swiftly addressing the speedy deleting request from the IP user. Appreciate it.Baberoothless (talk) 12:44, 22 January 2026 (UTC) Baberoothless (talk) 12:44, 22 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I'd suggest rewriting the first two paragraphs under Shamima Rahman#Research from scratch, and to get assistance from WT:WikiProject Medicine for the jargon. This section is also the one that contains most of the unnecessary quotes. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 21:17, 22 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Noted! Thanks so much for suggestion.. I will do the needful. I will also reach out to Medicine for help to rectify the more technical aspects! Baberoothless (talk) 10:52, 23 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

My edits to the Iran article and other articles!

[edit]

@LaundryPizza03 Hi, Please see the Persian article on Iran and Mina vahid! This content has sources. What resources can I give you to restore the content you removed from the articles? I have a lot of resources, most of which is in Persian.ایوب صادقی (talk) 04:35, 18 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@ایوب صادقی: Please stop asking around about this. I already explained why here, and CodeTalker (talk · contribs) explained here. It seems that you are trying to write about a specific book, but you are unable to explain clearly what it is about or why it is notable; the best I could understant, it's about a deconstructionist poem, based on the philosophy of Jacques Derrida, that intentionally uses similarly opaque language. In any case, this information would belong only at a new article about the work itself or its author. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 18:30, 17 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@ایوب صادقی: I also noticed that you signed this comment with an incorrect timestamp. When you copy and paste a talk-page comment from a previous discussion, you must update the signature by replacing it with ~~~~ or the timestamp with ~~~~~. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 18:41, 17 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@LaundryPizza03 Hello, good day. This material about the book exists in the Iran article on the Persian Wikipedia, and also Mina Vahid, a prominent Iranian cinema actress, became famous through a theater performance with the same name as this book. I will now send you various sources about this book; if you wish, you can restore the content you deleted and add these new sources to them. This book is significant in that it has created a great revolution in Persian language and literature, and has brought about a new era and new style in Persian language and literature. For this reason, wherever Persian language and literature are discussed, it is necessary to explain about this book and the great work its author has done. I am sure that if you were Iranian and had extensive familiarity with Persian language and literature, you would definitely understand the importance of this book and the content I wrote, but you are an English speaker. ایوب صادقی (talk) 04:37, 18 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@LaundryPizza03 [1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9] Here are the new resources I promised you. Please replace any sources you don't approve of with these. Thank you very much.🌷 ایوب صادقی (talk) 05:40, 18 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@ایوب صادقی: Please stop. The citations you're posting are causing page rendering to break, and I can't figure out why. I've already had to report this to WP:VPT for help.LaundryPizza03 (d) 05:49, 18 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Also, you posted the same list of references twice. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 05:52, 18 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@LaundryPizza03 The sources I sent are good, right? What content will you include in the articles with these new sources? Thank you. ایوب صادقی (talk) 06:23, 18 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@LaundryPizza03 Now you put new sources in your articles, or do I? ایوب صادقی (talk) 06:32, 18 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@ایوب صادقی: Neither the English nor the Persian version of Mina Vahid's article contains more than a passing mention of this theatrical adaptation. I can't find any evidence that Dal News had a 2007 issue, and the other two book references have insufficent information to locate them. Of the others, Ref. 3 does not mention the book, Ref. 4 is a passing mention in list of credits by Vahid, Ref. 5 is a mirror of a fawikt entry I've marked for speedy deletion. Please let me asssess the remaining sources before posting any more conmments. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 06:34, 18 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@ایوب صادقی: Ref. 6 is an announcement of an art gallery event, and it pertains to a different work. Ref. 7 is a library search results page. Ref. 8 is an online bookstore listing. In summary, you have provided zero usable sources with enough information to locate them. You are very bad at finding reliable sources. Here's a hint for helping us find books: If you are using the source editor, there is a tool that can automatically generate book citations given an ISBN or academic citations given a DOI. The visual editor probably contains a similar tool as well, but I don't know because I've never used it.
In other news, I have filed an edit request at fa:ایران to remove the content about the book for the same reason as I did at enwiki: it is irrelevant to an article about the country as a whole. I implore that you create a new article specifically about this book or its author through Help:Your first article. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 06:48, 18 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
