Aromanians descendents of Ancient Macedonians
Hello dear Sir! I want to ask you something.. do you know that the Oficial Since of FYROM recognise Alexander the Great as "vlasi" ? Why do you delete the macedonian native name of today "aromanians"? Thank you. (Mintimenu (talk) 22:14, 13 July 2010 (UTC))
- Look, I can only find the part about Alexander being Vlach amusing. And I would've laughed hard if I hadn't already seen a decent number of ridiculous claims around him. That's not the place and time for a huge discussion as to why this could not be so, but I'll refrain to a simple explanation as to why I reverted your edits:
- The ridiculous number of Aromanians you put.
- The fact that you removed the scientific term "Macedo-Romanians"
- The fact that you didn't check the page on Macedonians prior to adding this name there (without even providing us with some sources).--Laveol T 23:23, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
Turtucaia
Arguments
- it belonged to Romania for 27 years: 1913-1940
- is located on the border with Romania
- there is an article "Battle of Turtucaia" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.117.163.149 (talk) 11:00, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
- Arguments against:
- There is significant Romanian population.
- It was part of Romania for a mere 27 years (or even less).
- The fact that such an article exists does not determine what should be in this one. --Laveol T 12:28, 19 July 2010 (UTC)

Edit warring at Tutrakan
You're being discussed by administrators at WP:AN3#Laveol reported by 79.117.148.221 (Result: ). You should respond there and promise to wait for consensus before reverting again. EdJohnston (talk) 16:36, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
- The case has ended with a warning to you. Anyone who sets about removing alternate-language versions of place names from Eastern European articles is in danger of sanctions under WP:DIGWUREN. See the advice of Anonimu at Talk:Tutrakan#Romanian name, and be sure to obtain consensus from others that your edits comply with WP:PLACE before removing any alternate names.
