Context of articles[edit]

Hi there. Could you expand a bit on those new articles you're creating? It should be possible for someone totally unfamiliar with whatever it is you're talking about to at least know what the article is about, even if it is just a stub. When you say something is a hurdle race, does that mean it's people running? horses? camels? A fictional race in a book, or a race that's part of a computer game? Something like "The Kentucky Derby is an annual horse race that takes place in Kentucky.", with a stub tag at least gives people an idea of what you're trying to do. Thanks! --Aim Here 13:48, 25 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Throughbred racing project[edit]

As a past contributor to horse racing articles, we invite you to consider becoming a participant in the project, and/or adding the page to your watchlist so that you become aware, and can join any future horse racing discussions, which may be of interest to you. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
