Copyright problem: John ibn Jowey
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as John ibn Jowey, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. This article appears to contain material copied from http://www.al-imam.net/encyclopedia.htm#jon, and therefore a copyright violation. The copyrighted text has been or will soon be deleted. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators are liable to be blocked from editing.

Make sure you quote the exact page name, John ibn Jowey, in your email. See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted "under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License (CC-BY-SA), version 3.0, or that the material is released into the public domain provide a link to where we can find that note.
- If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License and GNU Free Documentation License. It may also be necessary for the text be modified to have an encyclopedic tone and to follow Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
Thank you, and please feel welcome to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Happy editing! Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:57, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
- I'm afraid that the article Sarjoon also copied content from that source, with minimal modification. It, too, has been deleted and can be restored by the methods above. Alternatively, articles on these subjects will need to be written in original language. See Wikipedia:Copy-paste. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 15:01, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
Could I ask you to please be more careful in your edits? With this edit [1] you added some content and some references, which is great, but you also removed several helpful internal links and categories. Such things help our readers understand the context and meaning of articles, something which is in everyone's best interest. Beeblebrox (talk) 05:58, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add unsourced content, as you did to Vagit Alekperov. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Please never use forums or blogs as sources. Dougweller (talk) 09:26, 21 March 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Abu-Lu'lu'ah with this edit, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. I've raised the issue of your user page at ANI
[edit]See the discussion at WP:ANI. I've no idea why you did this, but it was extremely misleading to copy an Adminstrator's userpage to yours. Dougweller (talk) 18:35, 5 April 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Your addition to Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did at Abdullah Ibn Saba, you may be blocked from editing. Jarkeld (talk) 13:52, 12 June 2011 (UTC)
