Question

You asked on my talk page: "Talk:Antonio Taguba; May I ask why you reverted my assessment? The article is a part of a worklist in WP:PINOY.--Lenticel (talk) 13:32, 7 March 2008 (UTC); I'll revert for now until you have an explanation in my talkpage. --Lenticel (talk) 13:35, 7 March 2008 (UTC)"

I'm not really sure what you are asking about; it probably relates to some edit which I made, but I am quite an active editor and don't recall what this might relate to. Can you please point me to the removal in question? Thenks. -- Boracay Bill (talk) 15:03, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi again. I took a look at the diff you sent me, and I can't think of any reason why I might have done that intentionally. I generally look at 100 or so watchlist hits first thing in the morning, usually in batches of 10 or so. My best guess is that this popped up in one batch of 10 or so watchlist hits and I somehow mis-clicked one of twinkle's tabs without noticing that I had done that. My mistake. Sorry. -- Boracay Bill (talk) 23:33, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Admin coaching request update

You have previously expressed an interest in undergoing the Admin coaching program. We're currently engaged in a program reset to help things move more smoothly in the future. If you are still interested in the program, please go to Wikipedia:Admin coaching/Requests for Coaching and re-list yourself under Current requests, deleting your entry from Older requests. Also, double-check to make sure coaching is right for you at the Coachee checklist; WP:Adoption or WP:Editor review may be more appropriate depending on your situation and aspirations. We should get back to you within a day or so, once a coaching relationship has been identified. Thank you. MBisanz talk 07:31, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

I need your help!

Hi Lenticel, I can remember you voted me in the nomination for my adminship by Estudyante. Now it's quite over, and no consensus whatsoever took place. So I nominated myself. I need your help. Would you vote me this time? Please and thank you! -- Felipe Aira 09:47, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

I'm now done with my exams, back to guiding my adoptee. If you still have questions, suggestions and doubts, please use Special:EmailUser/Ianlopez1115 instead of my talkpage. --iaNLOPEZ1115 · TaLKBaCK · Vandalize it 05:59, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Thank you

I truly thank you for supporting my adminship nomination. However Sky Harbor is questioning the legitimacy of the votes due to not having any explanation whatsoever. I don't really know if that's true but to make sure that your vote counts can you please put a simple explanation on why did you vote me? Thanks again! -- Felipe Aira 04:08, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

Admin coaching

If you're still interested in admin coaching, I'd like to help you as an admin coach. I noticed that you mentioned you wanted a DYK specialist. If I'm not enough of a specialist for you, I can help introduce you to someone else who is. bibliomaniac15 01:59, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

Sure. I have four DYKs, so I'm fairly familiar with it. bibliomaniac15 02:26, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
Alright, I've created the AC page at a subpage in your userspace here, which is the norm. I always start out with the traditional RFA questions first, then move out to examine your knowledge in other admin areas and about your opinions. I don't mind what you call me, but if I do forget to update your page regularly, then just give me a little nudge. bibliomaniac15 Midway upon life's journey... 18:36, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

My Tagalog is pretty good, but I don't speak it much now that I'm back in the States. Looks like WP:PINOY is comprised of English articles, so that wouldn't be a problem. I just don't know a whole lot about the Philippines. I could edit the articles for grammar, spelling, and other WikiGnome work. Perhaps I will join the project. Tagalog Wikipedia/Nomination for adminship for User:Felipe Aira

Hello. I believe this nomination should be closed. I believe User:Felipe Aira is qualified enough. Would you be able to help in closing this issue over there (or even here at Wikipedia:Tambayan Philippines, if need be)? Or perhaps talk to those who oppose the nomination. You have a very diplomatic approach to matters like this, I noticed. Thanks... And by the way, we also need to finalize that new look for the first page of Tagalog Wikipedia. - DaughterofSun (talk) 06:35, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

That was really fast. Thank you for providing the book cover: Image:Banaag at sikat.PNG. - DaughterofSun (talk) 01:45, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

It's not that a better image exists. It's that I don't feel there's really a need for an image, and certainly not an amateurish one. It brings down the quality of Wikipedia. Even if your heart is in the right place, I took down the image previously because 1) I didn't see a need for it (and as a user of Wikipedia, I have just as much a right to contribute as anyone else, not that you disagree), 2) it wasn't distinctive for the topic, 3) it didn't look encyclopedia-quality, and 4) there was nothing in the image that wasn't covered in the article. It didn't add a new dimension. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.206.112.92 (talk) 20:38, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

Hey. Thanks for the great help. I was expecting you would formulate the hook. But its fine that you left it to me. I was thinking of possible hooks while at home. Just fix it if its not good. Hey, is this reliable? --Efe (talk) 05:49, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

Ah, I see. I was just skeptical whether that one is non-WP:RS since its a blog, and blog, as we all know, are no no here in WP. Anyway, its fine. You deserve the credit. Look, I got stash of pictures but will not add them in the page now. =) --Efe (talk) 07:50, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

Done?

I think I am ready to conclude our Admin coaching. Overall, I think you will do fine in RFA, and that you will be a good admin. My only suggestion is for you to be more thorough in your answers. You will be asked many questions about your own actions when you become an admin, and you should be as detailed as possible. Not that your answers weren't bad, I just think that you could elaborate more. I won't nominate you immediately, because I already have EyeSerene's RFA going on and I do not want two RFAs taking up my time (three if you count Mastrchf91's, whose coaching I am performing simultaneously with yours). I would like to wait a month or so to allow you to continue working in those areas you want. You mentioned that you wanted to pursue the areas of DYK and CSD. If that is so, please focus on these areas. Keep your eyes open for community discussion, it is important that you be aware of the changes in Wikipedia. Remember to always be civil, prompt, and thorough. And remember, if you have any questions, do not hesitate to stop by and ask me. It was a pleasure watching and reading your opinions, I think that you are a great editor. Just continue your work, and if nothing bad happens, I'll stop by and nominate you. bibliomaniac15 Hey you! Stop lazing around and help fix this article instead! 05:18, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the advice in Editor Review

Thanks for the advice in Editor Review. Some of it I knew having done a lot of reading(such as 4000 edits and half on mainpage), but a lot of it was EXACTLY what I was looking for. I asked for a review as I don't want to end up with bad habits and I figure its better to fix them before they become ingrained. I especially appreciated the part about lurking on admin related pages as I would never had known I could post there if I thought I could be helpful. Coffee

Its now in Negros: Organic coffee at the foot of Mount Kanlanon, Negros Occidental.[1] --Florentino floro (talk) 09:40, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

Oh, please, help Filipinos protect the landmark Organic coffee from Negros Occidental, beside your farm / door steps. A cursory perusal of this renowned editor's adds, with mystic musings (Vide: his/her contributions), reveals that daily, from the very TIME I was known by this editor, his edits are solely focused on my edits. Bewitched is not the proper term, but may in the MEAN time be ...: I quote this discussion for your perusal: This is grown at the foot of Mount Kanlanon, Negros Occidental.[2] --Florentino floro (talk) 09:38, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
The list is of the "primary" producers of organic coffee, not an exhaustive list of all producers. maxsch (talk) 19:26, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
Did you not NOTICE the edit by other editors, which claim that: "The primary producers of organic coffee are; Guatemala, Peru, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Mexico[citation needed]." - do not have citation? And Wikipedia edits or anything added must have resources or references, otherwise, they are not reliable. I can put there Chile or Spain, but how can the reader or scholar cite this article if there is no citation? So, my edit of Negros, is supported by 2 links. Refer this discussion to improve this article to Filipino editor --Lenticel (talk), Ateneo expert and for Valencia, Negros, just a road away from this coffee. ---Florentino floro (talk) 06:38, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

Many thanks! Gatoclass (talk) 06:26, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

In regard to the article 5th Infantry (STAR) Division, you tagged it for speedy deletion as a copyright violation. However, the page you said the article was copied from did not resemble the article. Perhaps there was an error in the URL of the link. Also, the site the article was copied from appeared to be a Philippine government site. Consequently, it is not clear to me that the Philippine government would claim a copyright in its web sites; see Philippine copyright law#Government copyright. If an exception applies and the site is copyrighted, I would want to get some sort of confirmation of that. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 16:18, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

6th Infantry (Kampilan) Division

After you tagged 5th Infantry (STAR) Division and 6th Infantry (Kampilan) Division for deletion as a copyvio, I cut them down to a non-copyvio stub and got rid of the copyvio text. Sometimes cutting a copyvio article down to a non-copyvio stub so that someone else can rebuild it is better than deleting it outright. --Eastmain (talk) 16:35, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

You truly deserved it, dude. I can think of just a few Tambays who truly deserved adminship (if ever), and you're one of those persons on my list. Congratulations! I am not surprised at how nice it turned out for you. Remember to read up and not to rush into the role. An admission of thanks on WT:RFA is usually sufficient. bibliomaniac15 01:19, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

Note

Hello! I was just preparing my comment at your RfA, so if you were curious, one way or the other, I would have said something like Neutral per Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of sidekicks (2nd nomination) (a “per nom”), Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Differences between the book and film versions of The Da Vinci Code (another “per nom”), Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Gulf of Oman (Battlefield 2) (use of “non-notable”), and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Worms weapons, tools, crates and objects (2nd nomination) (we can have articles that appear on other wikis), but he did change his stance at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Librarians in popular culture (3rd nomination). Good argument at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Romulan Star Empire (Star Fleet Universe), Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rizal National Science High School, and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Wikitruth (5th nomination), Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tough guy (2nd nomination). Fiasco

I simply cannot spend the time this am to find the refs but I disagree with almost everything at the bahasa xfd - its so easy to be smart - your suggestion at least has some element of compromise and considering the potential for outsiders of the indonesian and malaysia projects to pull things apart like a pair of puppies (sic) - big problem disambiguation has to stay disambiguation - just pulled the roadhouse bloated dismabig apart last week to make it a proper one. will probably recreate the material in a less vulnerable manner later - cheers SatuSuro 02:20, 21 June 2008 (UTC)

Hmmm... Typo put at least one AfD discussion in Twilight Zone...

Howdy. I've seen you close a few RfDs (on which I participate from time to time); so I hope you wouldn't mind checking into a rather unusual situation here. About two weeks ago, I participated in an AfD (The Hills Have Eyes documentaries), which should have been closed by June 16... except it wasn't. In fact, it wasn't even extended at that time to facilitate additional discussion. Not only that, we no longer have "June 9" in the open logs, and it doesn't show up on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Log/2008 June 9... so I returned to the discussion (thank goodness the article is still tagged) and noticed a typo that put it on a separate page - Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Log/2008 juni 9. So it seems that something needs to be done here - as there seems no WP:SNOW argument one way or another... well, that's why they pay the admins the "big bucks" (double that of "mortal" editors), right? Anyway, I hope the "heads up" will help clean up a rather sticky situation with this AfD. 147.70.242.40 (talk) 21:10, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

hmm... I post this on WP:ANI to get more eyes to watch this. --Lenticel (talk) 22:38, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

RFA and thoughts on Kurt

I'm perplexed by your oppose, which seems to be based on the fact that I answered the question asked of me irrespective of the particular answer. To address the point of the objection, though, I haven't posted such thoughts elsewhere because it's not (in my opinion) needed. There are several people who visit RFA far more frequently than I and make an equivalent point (which I see no need to duplicate) and said point rarely accomplishes anything. At the time of your oppose, for instance, there were 3 cases of Kurt's self-nom oppose garnering controversy on active RFAs:

In those cases, it took 20, 28, and 2 minutes, respectively, for a voice of reason to refute the complainant. I don't visit RFA on a half-hour basis, so I'm not in a position to be first responder. Point one for no such essay. In each of those cases, said voice of reason did not in any way deter controversial discussion. Point two for no such essay, and why I tried my pre-emptive approach when filing my RFA. I imagine similar patterns hold across most such discussions, though I've made no effort at an exhaustive search.

Anyway, what I'm most puzzled about: what sort of response to Giggy's question wouldn't have garnered an oppose from you? My read, admittedly from a skewed perspective, is that it constitutes a catch-22. — Lomn 00:01, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

Its the pre-emptive approach that worried me which is the "first of all I'm a colts fan" with matching prima facie. It seems that you're out to please Kurt. To make it simple, giggy and wisdom put themselves between Kurt and the others saying "he has the right to opinion". You on the other hand wore an I heart Kurt t-shirt to your RfA.--Lenticel (talk) 06:49, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
I appreciate the response. I had hoped the prima facie bit simply ran as a joke counterpoint to Kurt's "Go Colts" sig tag -- I had no expectation of anything but the usual oppose -- but I see where your concern arises. — Lomn 14:31, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
That kind of RfA comments are really subjective. What if its your RfA Lenticel? --Efe (talk) 03:55, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
I hope the opposers will do the same. If I have the same attitude then they should stop me. For me admin attitude has more priority than admin knowledge.--Lenticel (talk) 03:59, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
Really a bad thing in RfA. Its getting bloody, according to Realist2. --Efe (talk) 04:15, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
Correct. What is their knowledge and being WikiSavvy if they have a very destructive attitude. They're not supposed to be an admin. --Efe (talk) 04:16, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

Just a simple thought (since I remain today, a pure scientist - for I worked hard in chemistry, physics and got A, a record in Math II, Ateneo, 1972). I debunked 3rd eye, 6th sense and psychic phenomena last year, when I rose above these in my Faith in St. Paul's Spiritual Gifts. It may be scientific, that if ever you will desire to bestow adoption upon myself a poor Filipino editor (who until now does not even know how to a) revert and b) to archive, I am nervous, so you may archive my page if too long, please help me on this, I might commit mistake), please ask the consensus of Filipino editors for my edification and yours, since I desire that my stay in Wikipedia will be, for its better future - reliability and with citations. Hope that you will adopt me to end all these problems (I am shocked that, and cannot comprehend, and you also, will never know the truth, why Diligent Terrier, based on his diligence, resigned as admin and RETIRED, just after he adopted me, Oh my God, and the horrifying email of resignation of IanLopez, he might just be too young and timid to comprehend Ateneo's Lux in Domino). But don't be afraid of adopting me, I will be an asset rather than a liability. Just watch my favorite movie Batman, the movie, it is all about how to debunk fear. Sorry for this kilometric congrats note, just shocked you are great. I envy your expertise. You can rightfully bridge the gap between us. --Florentino floro (talk) 07:03, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

User page help

Dear Lenticel...I see that you have requested help in getting your user page in order and am willing to help you. My suggestions will not be full of a lot of flashy formatting. In my opinion, the less a user page looks like a Wikipedia page, the harder it is to read and navigate. You can go to my user page to see how an infobox can handle most of the routine information which you can expand upon if you so desire in the body of your user page.

To keep this conversation all in one place, you can respond on your talk page here. However, I ask that you put {{Talkback|Lenticel|User page help}} on my talk page to alert me to your response. Either way, I would like to hear back from you.

Have a nice day! - LA @ 02:20, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

I only have a few simple request really
  1. Admin dog, status and star stays in the main user page
  2. Keep the moss green/forest green motif to match my talkpage
  3. Make it more compact to avoid long page loads. Use any means that you see fit

Okay that's all. I hope you could pimp up my page soon. :)--Lenticel (talk) 02:26, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

Lenticel, I can keep the dog and make it more compact (which will take a little bit of time on your part to fill things in). I am not so sure about having the look on your talk page translated to your user page. Is that what you want, or just the color scheme? I will set up the user infobox I mentioned before for you to fill in as you see fit. All of the parameters are optional.

Also, to alert me again, all you need to do is just add your sig under the banner on my talk page. Thanks! - LA @ 02:31, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

Just include the talk page's color scheme. Just put the infobox, I'll fill it with the stuff that I need. Ok will do regarding the banner thingy.--Lenticel (talk) 02:40, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
What you have now is just a start to get the ball rolling. If you hate it, you can always revert. :) - LA @ 03:00, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
Looking good, I will look at it after work.--Lenticel (talk) 03:05, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
It's okay now. What do you think?--Lenticel (talk) 23:34, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
It will do, though I am not so sure about the dark green especially if it has links on it. I am not a big fan of that type of formatting for user pages, preferring for them to be readily identifiable as Wikipedia pages. However, you cleaned it up well. I am glad that I was able to nudge you in the right direction. Have a nice day! - LA @ 00:02, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
By the way, I am glad that you kept the user infobox. If you have anything else (gasp! what isn't already covered? right) you wish me to add to it, let me know. - LA @ 00:04, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
I think it's okay actually. I especially liked the favorite animals portion.--Lenticel (talk) 00:06, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Image, template -Kennedy v. Louisiana

I added this simple template, since I do not know how to make the very beautiful template of USA decisions. Note that this Sema v. Comelec is the only and first Wikipedia Philippine decision article. So, like in the USA Wiki decision articles like Kennedy v. Louisiana, we must have a template as User:Anyo Niminus made for others. Subic rape case, is not a decision but just another article. I also added the image but small, since, I just copied the USA format and I used the same image already displayed in Supreme Court of the Philippines. Please make a better one like Kennedy or Baze v. Rees--Florentino floro (talk) 09:57, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

Plaridel

Greetings. Let me quote my message to my adopting parent on Max. "Dear Parent, I now have hard evidence that Maxs and User:Cma have no agenda here, except the hidden vindictive yet spiritual request to prevent me from editing secret unspecified articles in Wikipedia that Max and Cma desire. If this is what they want, both can specify these. Enumerate these, and if Wiki rules permit, I will not edit or add to these articles. Why confuse Wiki foreign and Filipino administrators and editors including you, on our conflict? As the long and tedious discussion rages, one could not really discover what both want. So, tersely, I made this[4]. Please, parent, read this long discussion on Plaridel dire Aviation accidents and incidents on 3 Indian nationals. Any lawyer will tell you, that my evidence is not religious but circumstantial, pointing to the fact that Max went to India to consult Vedic and venerable tellers to decipher my very own dire actuations on many events worldwide which concerned many. Mystic India is not that simple, nor Max.

I am not sure if you can comprehend and read between the lines. Before these 3 deaths happened, the 3 Indians used regularly my own rented PC Internet in Plaridel. I had forewarned many Indians about the Cessna planes crashing - worst not the crash but mystic collisions before my every head and eyes circa the time Max had been on this Wiki thing. I resist and stay away from all of these controversial Wiki posting of religious discussions lest I be misinterpreted by skeptics and atheists, that I deeply respect, since I am a closed scientist and debunked psychic phenomena, even if I am a closed Catholic. Yes, I move things. Yes, I am gifted. But I keep this to myself. But Max is confusing editors here. Max should go DIRECT TO THE POINT." Regards--Florentino floro (talk) 09:51, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Request for Clarification on editing and creating an article

I found the template and read User:Cma page which states:As such, he is reported to have one of the biggest egos in history. Cma added and edited the template, stating it is n Wikipedia article instead of Wiki Page. So, I granted the request and found the links which established the fact that Cma is really the biggest egos in history. So, I opted to submit on Cma discussion page my propose edit:

This article lacks information on the importance of the subject matter.

Request for enlightenment on the interpretation of Wiki rules

  • Wikipedia:Sock puppetry The general rule is: one editor, one account. Do not use multiple accounts to create the illusion of greater support for an issue, to mislead others, to artificially stir up controversy, to aid in disruption, or to circumvent a block.User:Flaminsky = User:Cma

Why did Cma/Dominique Gerald Cimafranca delete by edit the link?

Answer: Cma made a mistake of exposing his identity in Wikipedia, amid Cma's only agenda in Wikipedia: Surveillance and police investigative journalism as blogger contra all those who might be :inflicting their wrath through letters, blogs, Photoshop contests, and other zany means of reaction" commited by a specific User:Florentino floro. IP Address of User:Maxschmelling

[31]With all due respect, may I please write hereunder, a very important - critical fact of this discussion. Max used an IP address and later asked apology for not using Max's username. This is utter bad faith, which might have caused the mediator/s to be misled. At any rate, I write this for the better solution of this dispute in good faith::Max[32] admitted:

This is direly important in this discussion, since Max admitted per research that Max replied from India, Bombai.

I'm not sure that it is direly important. In fact I think it is pretty much irrelevant. I was passing through Mumbai, using an unfamiliar computer and I wasn't logged in. Falsification of Signature?

May I please put hereunder instead of linking my message to my parent, and may I please ask for your comment and kindness. "Dear parent, D.Terrier, as your adoptee, may I please ask for enlightenment on this grave or blatant violation of Wikpedia rules. Max used an IP address with India, Mumbai Server, alleging Max passed thereat. This is the critical fact: Max, in the Edit Summary, typed this:

  • Clearly, therefor, Max made it appear that administrator User:Rkitko participated, acted and signed the Wiki signer, when in fact Rkitko did not. Max in fact asked for apology, admitting that Max was the one who posted the falsified message.
  • Is this a blatant violation of Wikipedia Rules (which I will, as I hereby reserve) to present to the proper Adm. Notice Board, inter alia, for comment), after with all due respect to your reply. I will alert admin. Rkito on this, and admin User:Lenticel, for comment.

Fait accompli

I never tried to discover Max or Cma's personal phone, credit cards, etc. It was Cma's blunder to have edited Flaminsky and then added the link which revealed DOM. This is serious. Since, I am questioning deleted User:Flaminsky's right whatsoever to participate in these dragging Rfc, etc.

  • Wikipedia repeatedly warns on the disadvantages of signing with IP address. Wikipedia know the scores of lawsuits that Google, etc. had had. Max's blunder of Mumbai signing, in essence revealed the truth. Truth was not sought for by me, but it fatefully unfolded amid assume good faith covers.

AFD/Speedy of Paige Bell

Just curious as to why you Speedy A7'ed the article that was up for AFD, since there was a claim of notability in the article. I have been mainly gone for a few months, but I was under the impression that any article that attempts to make a valid claim of notability can't be speedy deleted. (for info, I was the one who AFD'ed the article, since it didn't qualify for A7). PHARMBOY (TALK) 01:23, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

I believe that being an extra in a movie and being friends with stars are not valid claims for notability.--Lenticel (talk) 07:55, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

Can you explain how was there any consensus to delete? --Itub (talk) 05:00, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

There were two votes that prefers delete and I beleive that the nominator has a good point. You do have a good Keep reason but as you said, you're not so sure about your own argument and would like to be corrected if wrong. That made me think that your argument has less bearing on the consensus of the Rfd.--Lenticel (talk) 05:09, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
I was just being humble and challenging the deletion proposers to prove their case that the name is ambiguous. If that was the consensus, I see no choice but to turn it into a "disambiguation" page, despite having only one possible target. --Itub (talk) 06:34, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Hi, I did a full research on Mt. Talinis[43][44] from Firefox google. And I revised the entire sub-section on culture and eco-tourism. I had to preserve Born to be wild, since I spent one hour playing it over and over, since I could not get the correct names of the rare species, which are not in the english link of GMA-7. Now, I found it is 1903 and not 1864 or 1870. I had been amazed by this Mt. since it is the most, I say MOST bio-diverse in fauna and flora with rare species found only in Mt. Talinis. It is sad that my Bulacan has none of these, and since 1960, I had been using Winchester to shoot wild pigeons but none of these Mt. Talinis thing. I know that you would not want to be in our dispute. Thanks for the message. I only want to preserve this Mt. Talinis thing in Wiki, it is so great Mt.--Florentino floro (talk) 08:00, 23 August 2008 (UTC)

I hope you could help, just adding some references here, and redirecting Ang Lalake sa Parola to The Man in the Lighthouse. I dont know how to redirect an article. Sorry for that. Hehe. Its okay if you cant do it the next few hours. This is not a rush though. Dont pressure yourself! It seems that it is already redirected. I'm not familiar with the way LGBT films work so I think I can't help you here. You might want to userfy the article first so you can temporarily edit it without the risk of being speedy deleted. If you feel that it is complete then you could move it back. Here's a redlink that you could use to create your own sandbox User:Axxand/Sandbox. --Lenticel (talk) 00:10, 27 August 2008 (UTC)

Can you help me with this article?

Hi! Can you help me fix Bukidnon State University article? I tried to clean up the article a long time ago (June 2008, I think) but somebody (an IP address:210.5.126.53) and Tomorts keeps on reverting and adding unnecessary things to the article (such as Intramurals section and the intramural uniforms that are in my view, irrelevant/unnecessary to the article). Can we also semi-protect the article to avoid reverts from unknown IP addresses?Kleomarlo (talk) 10:25, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

Okay, I halved the size of the article by removing unencylcopedic materials and copyvio. Keep this article on your watchlist and notify me on further developments. I cannot grant semi-protection as the IP edits are stale and there are no evidence of edit wars in the article.--Lenticel (talk) 23:31, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the heads up Mr. IP.--Lenticel (talk) 23:21, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

I was wondering why you closed this as a retarget when nobody in the discussion supported that decision (the person who mentioned the target was neutral on it and said it wasn't mentioned in the target article). --UsaSatsui (talk) 02:18, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

I just thought that it was a more appropriate retarget. The delete votes we're made moot since it now points to another article. If you want to I could re-open it for you to discuss the new target. (just notify the rest of the commenters).--Lenticel (talk) 02:22, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
I know it's nitpicking, but yes, I'd like to see it reopened...if not overturned. Of 3 comments, 2 delete comments were not based on the target, and the third was a neutral mention of the episode. If it is, I'll let the people who commented know. --UsaSatsui (talk) 15:13, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
Okay done.--Lenticel (talk) 23:55, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

Something I notice

Thanks for your notes, and I replied there, with some observations.[45]

BTW, I notice that in Wikipedia legal articles, there are 2 different creations: a) Subic rape case, for example is thus titled, since there is no decision yet; b) Sema v. Comelec, with info box, had and is a decision article. I wanted to copy the Scotus info box of Kennedy v. Louisiana but since I have no IT expertise, I ended up borrowing another Filipino editor's info box for my Sema. Thus, I added an info box for the Hultman-Chapman murder case. But I hope that as admin and IT expert, you will amend or make more beautiful our Filipino decision info box as great as the Scotus of Kennedy v. Louisiana, since, this has more legal advantages for the researcher. Another observation. Not that I criticize Chan Robles decisions, but, Chan virtual library is private, though fast opening. I dislike using our Supreme Court URL since it takes minutes to open, bad IT. So, I prefer to use Philippine Jurisprudence[46], since it is official, and so fast to open. But it will take months or a year for PhilJuris to upload a recent case like Sema. Thus we had to suffer using the S.Court URL.

Can I use this pics on wiki

Hi, I wonder if I could use the pictures in this website about Lake Sebu. It's a DENR-PENRO website. Can it pass PhilGov fair use?Kleomarlo (talk) 14:00, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

No, the lakes are accessible to people and it is possible that one can snap a photo of the three lakes without getting a pic from the web. Besides gov't public domain clause is very malabo so it is better to upload a free pic rather than a gov't owned one.--Lenticel (talk) 23:53, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

Fair Use Rationale in Pictures

Hi there, Lenticel. I moved some pages here in wikipedia, but I am not yet familiar how to update the pictures that was also moved--I am too afraid to try and update images with non-free use rationale. Here are the pages I had moved:

Sirena (Philippine Mythology) to Sirena (Philippine mythology)
Siyokoy (Philippine Mythology) to Siyokoy (Philippine mythology)
Kataw (Philippine Mythology) to Kataw (Philippine mythology)

As you can see, I dropped the capitalization in the word "mythology" there. My problem is I dont know what to do with the pictures in the articles I moved.. :) Hoping for your advise as I have the same problems with Polytechnic University of the Philippines subarticles too. I visited Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline but I need someone expert to fully understand it-- as they say, reading isn't just enough. Thanks! Axxand (talk) 04:29, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

Those are Creative Commons licensed images so you don't need FU's as long as the author clearly states that it is indeed CC.--Lenticel (talk) 13:26, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

Hi Lenticel. WP:COMMUNISM, a redirect which you deleted based on consensus on Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion, was just recreated. I've deleted it again, but it occurs to me that it was probably recreated because it was widely used, including on the former target page: Wikipedia:Ownership of articles. I have now gone through and replaced or removed references to the redirect, except in places where the redirect itself was being discussed. But could you please check if redirects are being used before (or right after) deleting them in the future? -- SCZenz (talk) 11:43, 14 October 2008 (UTC)

Re: Chocolate Hills GA review

I do think you need to apologize. Malleus Fatuorum, the editor who initiated the GA review, has apparently done a lot of fixing up of the article and simply stated the several things he might have trouble (or for lack of time) fixing himself. --seav (talk) 02:05, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

I don't know seav, I really don't like people who goad contributors using negative means in the wiki (ie. deletion, delist etc.). We are a volunteer group after all. Had the user simply requested (like you guys in the tambayan all do), I might have been in a more colloborative mood.--Lenticel (talk) 02:10, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
But he is simply stating the observation that the article as it stands does not meet the GA criteria. It has to be delisted if it does not anymore meet the criteria. He already put up a lot of effort to fix the article to help it meet the criteria and is simply asking for help from others who are more knowledgeable. The mentioning of the possible delistment is simply as a point of context (why he is requesting for help in the first place) and not as a means of goading others. That is how I interpreted things using the Assume good faith guideline. It states there: "avoid accusing others of harmful motives without particularly strong evidence." --seav (talk) 02:23, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
That is exactly right Seav. Had I been able to fix all of the issues myself then I would have done so, and have done that for many other articles. But I can't make decisions about image layout, or rewrite sentences that I don't understand the intended meaning of. Nor do I always have the time to track down dead links. I find it rather galling to be repeatedly accused of harassment, laziness, and now goading given that all I did was to raise a few relatively minor issues that needed to be dealt with so that this article could keep its GA status. I would have been well within my rights to delist it immediately as not meeting the GA criteria. Would that have been preferable? GA articles must meet the GA criteria. Period. No negotiation. It is not my job to fix all those that do not, simply to deal with those issues I can and request that others deal with the remainder by putting the article on hold to allow time for the work to be done. I really would like this negative language to stop now Lenticel. I don't expect you to apologise, but I do expect you to grow up. --Malleus Fatuorum (talk) 11:33, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
