Fantage; Who is Seablock?[edit]

There is no reason to blank an article that you tag with WP:CSD#G1. Nor, in my view, was the article nonsense. I still deleted it because it was petty vandalism, but please tag pages properly and, off the top of my head, you would blank an article if it were an attack page or a copyright violation, and I believe there is a template that should be placed on the page in those cases.--Bbb23 (talk) 05:12, 22 July 2014 (UTC)

@Bbb23: I think I grew concerned when the article was already showing up in search results on Google, hence the blanking. As to nonsense vs. vandalism, it didn't make sense to me, I'm glad it made sense to you. =) —Locke Coletc 05:22, 22 July 2014 (UTC)

Locke, it was surprising and nice to see your note on my talkpage. After our unpleasant experience being on opposite sides of a bitter dispute in 2009, perhaps time might have given both of us the ability to heal.

I wish you well, and encourage you to come back to editing when you feel the time is right.

My best wishes.

They say time heals all wounds, and I think five years is more than enough time to set aside and move past something that has long since been settled. Thank you, Tony. —Locke Coletc 05:17, 1 September 2014 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Atari-2600-Wood-4Sw-Set.png[edit]

A tag has been placed on File:Atari-2600-Wood-4Sw-Set.png, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

File is a derivative copy of a picture of mine, but was only uploaded to Wikipedia. This version is interfering with the Wikimedia version, which is identical.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.

This nomination was done by another editor, but they didn't notify you about the speedy deletion nomination. Therefore, please don't think that the original picture is mine. McDonald of Kindness (talk) 21:36, 4 March 2015 (UTC)

Please use an ordinary {{nowcommons}} for this business, if the pictures are identical. Or rather could be identical, if the author copied it, nowcommons-ed it, and eventually upgraded it on commons to the latest and greatest version in that order. –Be..anyone (talk) 06:45, 7 March 2015 (UTC)
Hm, it's possible this was done during a period when I didn't have a lot of faith in commons (IIRC they were deleting images due to copyright concerns during this era, hard to remember the exact situation since the local file was already deleted). Most images I upload are tagged with {{Keep local}} for this reason. Also mildly concerned this image was speedily deleted... :/ —Locke Coletc 21:21, 7 March 2015 (UTC)
