Your proposal[edit]

I noticed the proposal regarding third-party wikis that you posted on the proposals Village pump. I think this is a really good suggestion, with a couple qualifyers. I think you should move it to a Wikipedia namespace proposal page, such as Wikipedia:Proposal to link to specialized third-party wikis or something along those lines. I'll leave it to you to make any move (it's your proposal), but the suggestion is open. Nihiltres(t.c.s) 14:31, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mistake[edit]

Sorry, I was trying to cfd an article. See, Word Up Magazine. I was using the Raditz one as an example to use the deletion tags, I accidently pressed the save button instead of the preview one. My fault entirely. Perhaps you can help me? ~I'm anonymous

No prob. I would've done the same if I were you. Its just that I wasn't sure of how to use a deletion template, so I went to an article I've seen before that was cfd'd and decided to copy/paste that tag. Dumbwittingly, I pressed the "save button", (grr...) and was about to revert myself when there was an edit conflict. I wasn't sure what was going on, until now. What should become of the Word Up Magazine article then? ~I'm anonymous
Looks quite complicated. I remember reading about a similar wiki-device called WP:POPUPS. Is that anyway alike to it? ~I'm anonymous
I wish I've seen this page before. Ok, I'll tag the page with {{Db-reason}} using the explanation I was using before. Thanks for your help. ~I'm anonymous
I wasn't gonna say this before, but maybe you'll find it interesting: do you believe in deja vu? I had remembered this scene from a dream I had last night: I was editing Wikipedia (yes, I edit in my sleep); all of a sudden, I did a big mistake by pressing the save button and ruined something - another user (guess it was you) wanted me to explain for my edits. Talk about scary. That's why I was a bit dazed when that edit conflict occurred. Maybe I'll take a wiki-break, yeah, maybe I'm tired... ~I'm anonymous
I got your message. What you just told me is very interesting. Seriously, I do have deja vu only when I'm tired, so does my family (excluding my sister, don't know why). I believe you're right, it is neurological. Is there an article on Wikipedia that talks about this? ~I'm anonymous
Cool. Let me know when there's an answer, k? Peace. ~I'm anonymous

OOTS[edit]

I have to disagree with your recent edit removing the "crayoning" effects. It is extensive in the print versions of oots that are not part of the online comic, I direct your attention to the bullet points in the middle of this page Order of the Stick: Start of Darkness. So this will become a reoccuring thematic element in the comic, and deserves the paragraph you edited out. Timmccloud 22:06, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Simulated Comic Product, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Simulated Comic Product is an article about a certain website, blog, forum, or other web content that does not assert the importance or significance of that web location. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles, as well as notability guidelines for websites. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Simulated Comic Product, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Pac Man.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:Pac Man.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 15:05, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:Win button.jpg[edit]

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Win button.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. 72.88.75.41 (talk) 04:30, 20 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ronan Kerr requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Mtking (talk) 00:45, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Proper use of quotation marks[edit]

We don't use them around block quotes per MOS:PUNCT, ("we use quotation marks or block quotes (not both) to distinguish long quotations from other text."), so I reverted your addition of them. Daniel Case (talk) 22:50, 24 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
