User talk:Luxspes/UI Design: Edit then List vs List then Edit
This page is not about how to build UIs, is about how UIs are built. This is not a how to, I am not explaining how to build a UIs, I am stating how UIs are built by some people and how the "pattern" used to build the page affects your choice for persistence, until now I have not been able to find a resource that discusses the implications of UI design in the persistence framework used, this article do have list of actions, but only to describe the way the user used the UIs, and how the structure of the UI, and persistence mecanisme affect the actions that the user performs--Luxspes 03:19, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
also AFAIK a how to is: an informal, often short, description of how to accomplish some specific task. They are generally meant to help non-experts, and may leave out details that are only important to experts, and may be greatly simplified from an overall discussion of the topic. See procedural knowledge for a discussion of what sort of knowledge is imparted, and how far it can be imparted, in how-tos.
- This page does not explain how to acomplish a task, it explains how interfaces are built, now how to build them
- This page is meant for experts, for people with experience building UIs that can contribuite with ideas about the implications for UI desing in persistence
- An this is not procedural knowledge, I am describing patterns to build UIs and how the affect persistence, now.. UIs are used by users, and i need to explain how the user uses the ui, and on which steps the support for UI buidling from the persistence mecanism is important, for that, I need to explaing the different ways I think an UI for data manipulation can be build (but remember I am not saying "how to built it" i am merely describing ways it can be built, if this a how to, then this Singleton pattern or this Model View Controller are also how-tos?--Luxspes 03:30, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
I am aware that this is not a complete article, but I am gathering more information and I was hoping for contributions from the developers community--Luxspes 03:41, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
