Hi - This looks good to me. The only change I would make would be to delink the redlisted words for now. For redlinking you really need to be able to demonstrate notabilty so it is best to leave those units unlinked unless you are going to draft the relevent articles imminently. Best wishes. Watch your terminology[edit]

It is 'Fall under Command' and 'As a result of Army 2020 Refine' and 'reduction in size' not 'lose' and 're-equip' and there is no 2nd Strike Brigade - the name is not yet annouced. At best, it is Strike Experimentation Group.

A unit is a unit's name, not operationally known as. If it is formally known as, cite it as so.

Use proper structure and grammar, not colloquial terms.

"The regiment actually is based..." Wha sort of statement is that? RuxAF units firstly are not regiments. Just term the as units. Secondly, it is based or not based. There is no such thing as "actually based" and no such sthing is "as the name suggests... it recruits from."

Try not to be trigger happy and create massive number articles for all units just because you find a massive orbat listing them. Instead, read how other established users write about units. Above all, watch your terminology. Wikipedia is not wikia.

I have spent my energy correcting your creations. It is best you stop and look up. Keep your articles in the sandbox first.

1st Signal Brigade[edit]

Hi - I don't think that we should have two articles on 1st Signal Brigade. (1968 to 1967: 1st Signal Brigade (United Kingdom) and 1996 to 2019: 1st (United Kingdom) Signal Brigade) The normal convention is that if a unit is raised several times e.g. 6th (United Kingdom) Division then that is documented in a single article. Please can we merge the earlier material into the article on the current formation? Also, as previously explained, the normal convention on Wikipedia is to have the name of the unit and "(United Kingdom)" behind it. e.g. 1st Artillery Brigade (United Kingdom). Best wishes. I am aware that 1st (United Kingdom) Signal Brigade is the proper name but we follow Wikipedia guidelines here rather than British Army regulations especially if the two conflict. Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to Air Assault Task Force, without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Naming Issue[edit]

@Dormskirk:, I'm in a bit of a pickle atm, I've finished 51 Signal Squadron, but two sources say the unit is called "51 (Scottish) Signal Squadron", but some say 51 (Highland) Signal Squadron following the re-formation of 52 Support Squadron. National Archives material[edit]

I'm able to visit the National Archives and view material, but for those who can't, all material can be digistisd and sent for a price - go to https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk, identify the document and click the 'Request a Copy' button and they will give you a quote. Some classes of documents, such as the WWI War Diaries (WO 95) or WWII medal citations are all digitised and you can download them for a fixed price (I think it was £3.50 each). A number of other useful documents are transcribed in free websites if you look for them, such as http://www.royalartilleryunitsnetherlands1944-1945.com and http://www.hut-six.co.uk, and some regimental and local history sites.

BTW: I see you are looking at 51 (Highland) Signal Squadron. Lord & Watson confirm that it is 'Highland'. Will you be doing this starting from 1920 or 1967?

Iona College Pipe Band[edit]

Hi MHist01. Are you by chance connected to Iona College Pipe Band in any way? Perhaps you are a former member or something? If you are, please carefully read through Wikipedia:Conflict of interest because it may apply to you. Since your account is fairly new to editing, you created the article without submitting it for WP:AFC review, and you also seem to possibly be a current or former student or Iona College, there's at least the appearance of a conflict of interest that needs addressing. If you're connected to the band in some way, please follow WP:COIADVICE and WP:DECLARECOI to avoid any misunderstandings.

As for the article itself, it really needs to have better WP:SECONDARY and WP:INDEPENDENT sourcing; otherwise, it's going to be hard for it to survive a nomination for deletion. I've been trying to find any significant coverage of the band which might show that it is indeed a subject which is Wikipedia notable for an article to be written about it per WP:BAND or WP:NORG, but I've been unable to so far. Content that the band posts about itself on its own website or social media pages can sometimes be used to support certain types of article content as explained in WP:PRIMARY and WP:SPS, but it does nothing to establish Wikipedia notability. Waste of Money[edit]

So because I've just been block apparently, I've now wasted over $150 on books to create better sources, thanks a lot.. I've been so excited to add some new stuff in the Royal Artillery regiments, but now I've just wasted some money on a just I worked really hard on. If you really find the books are just gathering dust after a few weeks, and are no use for Wikia etc, just take them into the College library and donate them; that will mean they're not wasted. Hello, for some reason my account has just been blocked, and as a result I have effectively just wasted $150 on books to expand my sources. It seems I've been connected to an account called J-Man11, so I decided to look at this account and I seem to have some similarities, but no connection to this person whatsoever. I'm really pissed atm because as I've said I just wasted a bunch of money to make my articles even better. The only connection of which I seem to have with this person is similar intrests. On the point of Iona College, more than 3000 people go here, and I use a school computer since I stay here, and there could be a million different people editing, so making assumptions is really messed up. I even take a class on making a wiki/website from the original, hence why I said that I've had my own, which I made. I would like this to be overlooked because I have no connection to this person, nor do I wish to. Again, sorry to waste your time on something that has not been proven.

You are not required to spend one penny on books that might help you improve an article. That's what libraries and interlibrary loan are for. @331dot: Ok, so 1. I have an intrest in the British Army, why is this wrong? If you look at the articles a lot of members do editing for armies and wikipedia articles for the British army due to their long traditions and interesting backstories. 2. Iona College maintains a class, the official title; "Intro to Website making and Wikia styles", which is a VERY popular class, with many of us making articles and wikipedia pages etc. I don't know anyone who would go by the name of J-Man11, so I don't know how I would be able to connect this with myself when I have just recently come to wikipedia to expand upon some much needed articles and units. 3. "Disruption", I've asked many people, what 4 or 5 about editing and how they might help because I'm not perfect, and no one is, so when someone says I have disruptive editing here, I don't know what that means when they don't come forward to help me themselves, and that is just pure lazy on their part. 5. "I'm a duck apparently", I don't know what that means, there are over 7 billion people in the world, and if I have a similarity to some of them, that isn't very astonishing since we all are similar and different in many ways and means.
