Viking metal FAC[edit]

I have nominated Viking metal as a featured article candidate. I understand that you are not very active know, but if you would like to comment on it, please see the review page. It's been languishing without much attention. Thanks, --3family6 (Talk to me | See what I have done) 20:12, 25 November 2016 (UTC)

Sorry but I don't have the necessary expertise. Also, I don't have any FAs, not sure how I could help you. I think the article is interesting, relatively well-written, illustrated etc but my experience tells me that when a FA candidacy gets no attention at all it's because either the article isn't enough to be sitting there or potential FA reviewers have no knowledge on the subject. Anyway I'll leave a support vote on the review page.--malconfort (talk) 23:12, 25 November 2016 (UTC)
Your comments were very helpful, thanks! I actually didn't have expertise going into the subject, and I still wouldn't consider myself an expert. I also have reviewed FAs without ever having an FA of my own. What I mean to say is, I think someone can write, and review, articles in something they might not be an expert in, as long as they stick to reliable sources and are willing to listen to experts. Your review demonstrates that.--3family6 (Talk to me | See what I have done) 05:15, 26 November 2016 (UTC)
