August 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page TV Land has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): \byoutube\.com (links: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jw4g5yk9my/). If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file. Video links are also strongly deprecated by our guidelines for external links, partly because they're useless to people with slow internet connections.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 01:35, 14 August 2009 (UTC)

AfD nomination of List of Fred episodes[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is List of Fred episodes. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Fred episodes. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:19, 1 December 2009 (UTC)

TV template changes[edit]

Hello... FYI, I have had to revert your changes to a series of television-related templates. Unfortunately, the selective use of boldface type did not benefit the templates, and in fact rendered them more confusing and difficult to read. If I may ask, what effect were you hoping to achieve with those edits? --Ckatzchatspy 08:19, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

Your image uploads[edit]

Hi Mariacer Cervantes. Please don't forget to include fair-use rationales when you upload images. If you have any questions, feel free to ask on my talk page. :) Thanks, Theleftorium (talk) 09:48, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

WMAQ former on air talent list[edit]

Hello Mariacer Cervantes

I was wondering if I could get your opinion in my favor. On the WMAQ former personalites, editors keep deleting all the names posted and I don't feel it is right. You had made some adjustments on that page and I respected and agreed with your decision. I was wondering if you could write a statement in favor of the 98.223.95.42 edits posted on the village link on the discussion page. The person took a lot of time and effort into the list. We just need a few more in our favor and the edits will be reverted back to the way it should. Or if you just want to revert it back yourself. Ask any other editors you know if they could sign it too. Thanks so much--TVFAN24 (talk) 17:43, 19 June 2010 (UTC)TVFAN24 (talk) 23:09, 19 June 2010 (UTC)

Non-free files in your user space[edit]

Information.svg Hey there Mariacer Cervantes, thank you for your contributions. I am a bot, alerting you that non-free files are not allowed in user or talk space. I removed some files I found on User:Mariacer Cervantes/Virgin 1. In the future, please refrain from adding fair-use files to your user-space drafts or your talk page.

  • See a log of files removed today here.
  • Shut off the bot here.
  • Report errors here.

Thank you, -- DASHBot (talk) 05:01, 6 October 2010 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Nicktoons Network.svg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Nicktoons Network.svg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

PLEASE NOTE:

  • I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions.
  • I will remove the request for deletion if the file is used in an article once again.
  • If you receive this notice after the image is deleted, and you want to restore the image, click here to file an un-delete request.
  • To opt out of these bot messages, add {{bots|deny=DASHBot}} to your talk page.

2011[edit]

Could you please explain why you deleted the article 2011 in American television without any explanation? --Ckatzchatspy 09:00, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

Ah, reformatting. FYI, you should note the reason for clearing a page so as to avoid the appearance of vandalism. While an editor can note the difference, the 'bots that watch for page blanking may end up warning you where it is not necessary. --Ckatzchatspy 09:07, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for File:KEZK-Logo.jpg[edit]

Copyright-problem.svg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:KEZK-Logo.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Courcelles 08:21, 29 December 2010 (UTC)

List of United States cities by population[edit]

I removed the flag column from this table. I appreciate your work, but it introduced dozens of non-free images into the table, in icon form which would fail WP:NFCC by itself, without rationales which also fails WP:NFCC #10c, in a table which fails WP:NFG, and in a list which fails WP:NFLISTS. In short, it was better just to remove it. That, and there's no way the column would ever be even close to complete because so much of it would be missing due to non-free content concerns as above. --Hammersoft (talk) 23:06, 6 January 2011 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:WWVAMainLogo.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:WWVAMainLogo.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Britney Spears 1991-Source[edit]

Where did you get the date of June 5, 1991 from in this edit? From what I remember a local newspaper in Louisiana stated in mid-December of 1991 that she and her family were going to Hollywood for her to appear on Star Search. You didn't even provide a source or explanation for how you came up with that.--Carmaker1 (talk) 05:47, 9 August 2012 (UTC)

Your subpage[edit]

Hi, Mariacer Cervantes. I noticed that your user subpage at User:Mariacer Cervantes/List of Retro Saturn TV channels may not meet Wikipedia's user page guideline because it contains a longterm archive of a current channel lineup, which violates WP:NOTDIR (Wikipedia is not a directory). Please take a look at the deletion discussion of other channel lineups at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/3rd bundle of channel lineups). If you believe that your userpage does not violate our guidelines, please leave a note on this page. As an alternative, you may add {{Db-userreq}} to the top of the page in question and an administrator will delete it, or you can simply edit the page so that it meets Wikipedia's userpage guidelines. If not, I will nominate it for deletion at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion. Thanks. -- Wikipedical (talk) 05:08, 17 November 2012 (UTC)

Newscast titles[edit]

Why are you deleting the newscast titles from all these news station articles?-- Astros4477 (Talk) 01:41, 9 February 2013 (UTC)

You need to provide an explanation for why you're removing the newscast titles. I'll revert each edit as unexplained removal of content if no reason is given.-- Astros4477 (Talk) 01:48, 9 February 2013 (UTC)

I removed the newscast titles because of unknown reasons. Sorry to say about the reply.

What do you mean "unknown reasons"?-- Astros4477 (Talk) 01:52, 9 February 2013 (UTC)

Year articles[edit]

Please stop adding television related content to year articles. Debut's of shows, or revivals, or endings are not notable events. They belong in the sub articles "X in television" (ie. 2012 in television) rather than the year itself (ie. 2012). Thanks, — MSTR (Chat Me!) 04:30, 9 February 2013 (UTC)

Again, why are you adding these to year articles (important world-wide events), when they are supposed to be in their specific articles (ie. 2012 in television)? You're not seeming to respond, so I'm reverting your edits. — MSTR (Chat Me!) 03:51, 10 February 2013 (UTC)

February 2013[edit]

This is your only warning; if you remove or blank page contents or templates from Wikipedia again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Removed information from over 60 news station articles. I had to go back and revert each one. Astros4477 (Talk) 05:04, 10 February 2013 (UTC)

Article Feedback Tool update[edit]

Hey Mariacer Cervantes. I'm contacting you because you're involved in the Article Feedback Tool in some way, either as a previous newsletter recipient or as an active user of the system. As you might have heard, a user recently anonymously disabled the feedback tool on 2,000 pages. We were unable to track or prevent this due to the lack of logging feature in AFT5. We're deeply sorry for this, as we know that quite a few users found the software very useful, and were using it on their articles.

We've now re-released the software, with the addition of a logging feature and restrictions on the ability to disable. Obviously, we're not going to automatically re-enable it on each article—we don't want to create a situation where it was enabled by users who have now moved on, and feedback would sit there unattended—but if you're interested in enabling it for your articles, it's pretty simple to do. Just go to the article you want to enable it on, click the "request feedback" link in the toolbox in the sidebar, and AFT5 will be enabled for that article.

Again, we're very sorry about this issue; hopefully it'll be smooth sailing after this :). If you have any questions, just drop them at the talkpage. Thanks! Okeyes (WMF) 22:09, 1 September 2013 (UTC)

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give List of Barney & Friends episodes and videos a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into List of Barney & Friends episodes. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut-and-paste-move repair holding pen. Thank you. Non-free rationale for File:XEQ Radio.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:XEQ Radio.jpg.

If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Linking United States[edit]

Hello. First off, thank you for adding the section for the country in the infoboxes for television stations. I would like to point out that per WP:OVERLINK, you should not link the United States. Number 3 says do not link to the "United States", because that is an article on a very broad topic with no direct connection to supply and demand. I do want to go back and unlink them all, but am asking you to either go back and do it, or leave it and not link any future additions involving the U.S. section. Thanks. Image without license[edit]

Unspecified source/license for File:1065theend.png[edit]

Copyright-excl.svg

Thanks for uploading File:1065theend.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

PBS Kids & edit summaries[edit]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing an article on Wikipedia, you will see a small field labeled "Edit summary" shown under the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to PBS Kids does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks!

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on PBS Kids. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.

You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Orphaned non-free image File:Foxsports990.png[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Foxsports990.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:24, 17 June 2018 (UTC)
