Thank you for helping with cleanup on the Kate Lambert article. Though I've been around a while, I still have lots to learn. Any advice would always be welcome! --Jonnybgoode44 (talk) 08:53, 2 April 2014 (UTC)

Orphan tags

You have put some orphan tags on top of articles about gastropods. This is unnecessary, as these articles are unlikely to get much links and the orphan tags will remain for ever. Most of these species are rare and are only of scientific interest. We consider ourselves lucky if we can contribute a description and an image to these articles. But thanks for your input anyway. Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Law of thought may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Inconsequential AWB edits

Hi, please don't make edits like this or this, they violate WP:AWB#Rules of use item 4. --Redrose64 (talk) 21:55, 3 April 2014 (UTC)

  • And your edit on Lyra Davidica just now was just irritating. It was totally inconsequential--not only did it cause an edit conflict when I'm actually trying to develop an article, but this "underlinked" tag is useless. If you want to do something productive, go link the article somewhere; you might learn something about Anglican hymns and German Protestantism. This is where the term "cleanup using AWB" kind of becomes a slap in the face, and I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the orphan tag you slapped on one of the articles I was working on yesterday. I'm sure I'm wrong about that; I hope so. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 14:34, 5 April 2014 (UTC)
Hello Drmies my edit on Lyra Davidica was made in good faith, I didn't even know you were working on it and it has nothing to do with the earlier orphan tag. Thank you. Regards
Good; I gladly accept that. Now please take the advice of two senior editors (Redrose64 and myself) and ease up on the automated editing. Obviously, the things that AWB does must be handled delicately since they rub some people the wrong way--like me. As a matter of fact, I would suggest not tagging something if it's an orphan. Also, I would strongly suggest not tagging some article until some time has passed. Editors who are in the middle of working on an article simply do not like to be told what they still need to do, according to someone who is not writing an article. Consider that: you want to make friends, not rub people the wrong way. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 15:37, 5 April 2014 (UTC)
Well noted Drmies and thank you for the advice. Kind regards ...

Thank you

Hi Masssly. Thank you for your message. I have now added in my signature to the contribution I previously made. I've also retroactively added an edit summary; however, there doesn't seem to be a place to leave a summary when you create a new section on a talk page. Is there a way to enter in some sort of summary in this case? Thanks!

Tagging article nominated for deletion

This edit [1] adding maintenance tags at Asif Ali Leghari is pretty much a waste of time. This is a recreation of a recently deleted page by a long term sockpuppet of Princeneil (talk · contribs).

If you see anything like it, then please nominate it for Speedy deletion. Regards - 220 of Borg 08:25, 5 April 2014 (UTC)

Removal of added orphan tag on Personal Classic (golf tournament)

Hi Masssly

I've not uploaded the bulk of the article and gone through and entered the relevant links from the main tour page and the winners individual page, therefore no longer believe this tag is applicable. Thanks for highlighted that it needs to be done and if you are not happy with the removal of the tag then let me know on my talk page Tracland (talk) 15:20, 5 April 2014 (UTC)

Dear Masssly, I notice your welcome on User talk:A.Minkowiski. Please follow the guy closely and coach him when necessary; he seems to think that his contributions must be that of a samorai. Thank you, DrMennoWolters (talk) 11:21, 6 April 2014 (UTC)

Thank you for contacting me! I have a quick question that I can't seem to find the answer to on the wiki help pages. What about linking to sites ie newspapers, that have a paywall...I am keen to make sure that I don't link to pages that will contribute to link rot or upset users.

Salam n Alaikoom, First I thought it is an automated response then I figured out it is written by you. I wanted to thank you for your support and get and answer for a problem I encountered a while ago. A few years ago I have tried to make contribution on the 'Allah' topic, but all the changes I've made has been deleted by someone the next day. I did it again and it was deleted again. Then I thought there are some christians (my guess) who keep the 'Allah' topic under cover pro christian and since I didn't knew how to handle the situation I gave up. Is there a way to protect the changes I make from other people? Thank you. Gurkan Celikkol --ProfGC (talk) 03:29, 9 April 2014 (UTC)

You are most welcome ProfGC. There are guidelines that users must follow when editing Wikipedia especially when the page is protected (like the Allah page), once these are met nobody should delete your edits. I suggest you familiarize yourself with the policies, make more edits under your user account to boost your confidence and you should be okay. You are free to come up to me on any question or problem that bothers on your mind, I would be glad to help. Meanwhile I will redirect your question to the help desk for a better answer, so please check your talk page. Salaaam... —Sadat (Masssly)TCM 09:18, 9 April 2014 (UTC)

CCI Notice

Hello, Masssly. This message is being sent to inform you that a request for a contributor copyright investigation has been filed at Contributor copyright investigations concerning your contributions to Wikipedia in relation to Wikipedia's copyrights policy. The listing can be found here. For some suggestions on responding, please see Responding to a CCI case. Thank you. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 20:48, 25 April 2014 (UTC)

  • Hello Demiurge1000, its rather unfortunate that I'm responding to the CCI Notice this late. I made a mental note to respond but I forgot all about it until you brought it up again in my rollback permission request. You were not mistaken in requesting the investigation, however I would like you to reconsider since those edits I made were unintentional. The first four listed pages were oversights of which I am now promptly cleaning up. As for the fifth page in the list, it is very clear that that was actually one of my earliest edits if not my very first (I'm not too sure) and I did not know anything about the rules just yet. I can assure you that I have no history of copyright violations except a few images I naively uploaded in my early days (which were removed instantly) and as such I would like you to withdraw your request. Kind regards... —Sadat (Masssly)TCM 21:22, 10 May 2014 (UTC)
Hi Masssly, thank you for your reply. It does not come especially late, because no decision has yet been taken by the CCI clerks as to whether a CCI investigation is required. I have added a note at the CCI request page mentioning your reply here.
It is not my practice to withdraw CCI requests once made; instead I leave it up to the CCI clerks to decide what action (if any) needs to be taken. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 07:46, 11 May 2014 (UTC)

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── Hello, Masssly. I do apologize for the delay in processing this request. Unfortunately, in my review, I have found that copyright issues do seem to exist and have continued beyond your earliest edits. While the bulk are more issues of Wikipedia:Plagiarism with brief runs of copied content, I have blanked two articles due to more extensive issues. You can see a more completely description of the problem at Talk:Yusuf Soalih Ajura. This particular article, created in January 2014, seems to have content copied from multiple different books. The CCI is open at Wikipedia:Contributor copyright investigations/Masssly. You may not receive individual notice of any issues discovered. In order to avoid spamming users in your situation, we ask CCI reviewers not to place the usual templated notices on your talk page. If you wish to keep track, please watchlist that page for changes. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 15:05, 17 May 2014 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Rascalimu

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Rascalimu requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. SpeedyAstro (talk) 03:27, 30 April 2014 (UTC)
