National Youth Authority (Ghana)

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of National Youth Authority (Ghana), and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.modernghana.com/print/468992/1/is-our-national-youth-authority-nya-up-to-the-task.html.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. Speedy deletion nomination of National Youth Authority (Ghana)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on National Youth Authority (Ghana) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Proposed deletion of List of Dagbon artistes

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article List of Dagbon artistes has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication of how this might meet notability guidelines. Lacks citations to significant coverage in reliable sources.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. The reference is here on google books. If you don't see it search something like Ya-Na Yakubu Andani pupil teacher on the google book Dictionary of African Biography, Volumes 1-6 by Emmanuel Kwaku Akyeampong, Henry Louis Gates, Mr. Steven J. Niven Masssly (talk) 06:27, 14 January 2014 (UTC)

Orphan tags

You have put some orphan tags on top of articles about gastropods. This is unnecessary, as these articles are unlikely to get much links and the orphan tags will remain for ever. Most of these species are rare and are only of scientific interest. We consider ourselves lucky if we can contribute a description and an image to these articles. But thanks for your input anyway. • And your edit on Lyra Davidica just now was just irritating. It was totally inconsequential--not only did it cause an edit conflict when I'm actually trying to develop an article, but this "underlinked" tag is useless. If you want to do something productive, go link the article somewhere; you might learn something about Anglican hymns and German Protestantism. This is where the term "cleanup using AWB" kind of becomes a slap in the face, and I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the orphan tag you slapped on one of the articles I was working on yesterday. I'm sure I'm wrong about that; I hope so. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 14:34, 5 April 2014 (UTC)
Hello Drmies my edit on Lyra Davidica was made in good faith, I didn't even know you were working on it and it has nothing to do with the earlier orphan tag. Thank you. Regards
Good; I gladly accept that. Now please take the advice of two senior editors (Redrose64 and myself) and ease up on the automated editing. Obviously, the things that AWB does must be handled delicately since they rub some people the wrong way--like me. As a matter of fact, I would suggest not tagging something if it's an orphan. Also, I would strongly suggest not tagging some article until some time has passed. Editors who are in the middle of working on an article simply do not like to be told what they still need to do, according to someone who is not writing an article. Consider that: you want to make friends, not rub people the wrong way. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 15:37, 5 April 2014 (UTC)
Well noted Drmies and thank you for the advice. Kind regards ...

Nikki1964

Thank you for contacting me! I have a quick question that I can't seem to find the answer to on the wiki help pages. What about linking to sites ie newspapers, that have a paywall...I am keen to make sure that I don't link to pages that will contribute to link rot or upset users.

Thanks

Request for information

Hello Masssly,

Thanks for the welcome message. It is my pleasure to use Wikipedia. I am currently updating a page for some movie actress, and i have a problem with pictures. I got some pictures from her, and she authorized me to put them up, but they were deleted?

Please, what am i to do?

Cheers --Bmesemb (talk) 21:13, 7 April 2014 (UTC)

Thank you

Hi Masssly. Thank you for your message. I have now added in my signature to the contribution I previously made. I've also retroactively added an edit summary; however, there doesn't seem to be a place to leave a summary when you create a new section on a talk page. Is there a way to enter in some sort of summary in this case? Thanks!

Salam n Alaikoom, First I thought it is an automated response then I figured out it is written by you. I wanted to thank you for your support and get and answer for a problem I encountered a while ago. A few years ago I have tried to make contribution on the 'Allah' topic, but all the changes I've made has been deleted by someone the next day. I did it again and it was deleted again. Then I thought there are some christians (my guess) who keep the 'Allah' topic under cover pro christian and since I didn't knew how to handle the situation I gave up. Is there a way to protect the changes I make from other people? Thank you. Gurkan Celikkol --ProfGC (talk) 03:29, 9 April 2014 (UTC)

You are most welcome ProfGC. There are guidelines that users must follow when editing Wikipedia especially when the page is protected (like the Allah page), once these are met nobody should delete your edits. I suggest you familiarize yourself with the policies, make more edits under your user account to boost your confidence and you should be okay. You are free to come up to me on any question or problem that bothers on your mind, I would be glad to help. Meanwhile I will redirect your question to the help desk for a better answer, so please check your talk page. Salaaam... —Sadat (Masssly)TCM 09:18, 9 April 2014 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Rascalimu

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Rascalimu requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. SpeedyAstro (talk) 03:27, 30 April 2014 (UTC)

Loyal (Chris Brown) Song Credits

Mr. Masssly,

Good afternoon. I noticed producer deejaycyfer was removed from the Wikipedia page - Loyal song by Chris Brown. Deejaycyfer wrote the original music track. He is also due credit. Thank you.

Sincerely, Ladycyfer (talk) 19:34, 5 May 2014 (UTC)Lady Cyfer

  • Ladycyfer (talk) we do not know that for sure, since no reliable sources were provided to that effect, but if you still think I am mistaken and would like to point me where that is okay. Kind regards —Sadat (Masssly)TCM 19:59, 5 May 2014 (UTC)

Yu-Gi-Oh! GX

Hello, Sadat/Masssly, 'cause of User talk:Quark8967#Recent edit to Yu-Gi-Oh! GX and diff link.

  1. In the article it's "Dubbed episodes were recently uploaded onto 4Kids' YouTube page until [...] 2011". 2011 is not "recently" (in this context).
  2. "ハレルーヤ" is not "Hareruya" which would be "ハレルヤ". Though, other transcriptions could be wrong too.
  3. The text of openings and endings or intros and extros is very hard to look over (very confusing, unclear). So the list is IMHO better as it is less confusing. Maybe a table would be even better, like:
EPs Opening/Intro Ending/Extro
1-33 Kaisei Josho Hallelujah (快晴・上昇・ハレルーヤ, Kaisei Josho Harerûya, Fine Weather Hallelujah) by Jindou Genkai Battle (限界バトル, Genkai Batoru) by JAM Project
But IMHO that's no so good. Maybe more like the following?
EPs Opening/Intro Ending/Extro
Title Artist Title Artist
1-33 Kaisei Josho Hallelujah
(快晴・上昇・ハレルーヤ Kaisei Josho Harerûya, Fine Weather Hallelujah)
Jindou Genkai Battle
(限界バトル Genkai Batoru)
JAM Project
Still not sure. Anyway, the list is IMHO better than just text. -Quark8967 (talk) 18:54, 7 May 2014 (UTC)
  • Thank you for making me understand the rational behind your edit. I've undone the revert. Kind regards... —Sadat (Masssly)TCM 00:05, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
