TGID[edit]

I disagree with your characterization of the most recent Simpsons episode. Since Moe's is Tokyo Roe's before Homer returns to the Mesa, and it is Moe's again afterwards, it does not seem that he "had a dream", but that in the context of the plot the rapture actually DID occur, and was subsequently undone... along with the return of Moe's. --Dante Alighieri | Talk 20:44, May 9, 2005 (UTC)

C-Line / D-Line (RTD) articles...[edit]

Is there any reason that the C-Line and D-Line are represented as colored links everywhere in your articles? It doesn't really happen anywhere else in wikipedia that I am aware of. If you look at various lines in the New York Subway, such as IND Eighth Avenue Line or E (New York City Subway service), they explain the colors, but don't markup the line names in that color. If colors are associated with these names, I think it would be more appropriate to simply do "C-Line (also known as the Orange Line)" at the intro of the page and leave the links and references to the name elsewhere in normal wikipedia format. --MattWright (talk) 01:46, 5 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Chicago Line color templates[edit]

I tried to put the first of your 7 templates (the Red one) in the sandbox and all it gave me was the text CC0003. What did I do wrong?? Georgia guy 01:10, 6 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

In response, I would like to note that these templates should be reserved for future articles for Chicago 'L' stations. MattFisher 01:13, 6 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikimedia Canada[edit]

Hi there! I'd like to invite you to explore Wikimedia Canada, and create a list of people interested in forming a local chapter for our nation. A local chapter will help promote and improve the organization, within our great nation. We'd also like to encourage everyone to suggest projects for our national chapter to participate in. Hope to see you there! -- user:zanimum

Just letting you know I've listed this for deletion. --SPUI (talk - don't use sorted stub templates!) 11:28, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Manchester Metrolink map[edit]

I see that you have placed requests for maps on the pages about a number of tramways, but I’m rather puzzled as to why you have placed one on the Manchester Metrolink page, given that the page already includes my map of the system. Is there something missing from that map that you would like added? David Arthur 15:39, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I'm terribly sorry. I must have been unaware that you did a map of the system already. Great job on your other maps you did, though, particularly the one of my city's O-Train! MattFisher 21:31, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

All right — and thanks! :). David Arthur 23:45, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What do they call citizens of Peterborough, Ontario?[edit]

Please help me! What do they call a resident of Peterborough, Ontario? I am currently categorizing people who have lived or are currently living in Peterborough, Ontario into a new category. MattFisher 23:43, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

James Kennedy[edit]

What did you mean by "unsupportive" in terms of Kennedy's relation to Catholicism, does that mean he said a couple things against it or that he just plain doesn't adhere to it? and do you have any sources we could put in the article?

I had said that James Kennedy was "unsupportive" of Catholicism because, according to what I read in the Wikipedia article, "Kennedy ... is critical of such groups as the Roman Catholic Church and the Freemasons, working with such people as [RC] Sproul and John F. MacArthur against Catholicism and Ron Carlson against Freemasonry." While I am not sure if it is true that he actually did such a thing, I'm very sorry for what I wrote. Otherwise, I would recommend a that a citation be needed for the thing about his said anti-Catholicism. MattFisher 20:21, 13 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

First, sorry I never signed my name, and I didn't actually know until just today that Anti-Catholicism includes any critisism at all against the roman catholic church, (That is, if the Wiki article on Anti-Catholicism is correct) so I guess you were right all along :/. Weirdest definition of anti-whateverism i've ever seen, I mean most of the time they have something to do with "critical dislike", but meh. Homestarmy 00:25, 14 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Peter Tabuns[edit]

No, he's not gay. People are occasionally confused because his partner's name is Shawn — but Shawn Kerwin is a woman. Bearcat 22:13, 2 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your User page[edit]

In my opinion, the polemical statements on your User page are completely contrary to the spirit of the Wikipedia (although it explains why you're categorizing people based on their support of the War in Iraq). Do we really need one more witch hunt on the Wikipedia? This sort of thing, by its very nature, harms Wikipedia's neutral point of view. MoodyGroove 13:46, 28 May 2007 (UTC)MoodyGroove[reply]

Category on Neil Cavuto[edit]

Hi. I note that you added a category to Neil Cavuto based on your recollection that he "appears to" fit. Wikipedia's policies on biographies of living persons require that an "article must state the facts that result in the use of the category tag and these facts must be sourced." We have to be very careful to avoid misrepresenting living persons. :) I've removed the category. If you locate a reliable source, please feel free to re-add it to the article with sourcing. --Moonriddengirl 15:48, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Hermann Park/Rice University Station[edit]

I have nominated Hermann Park/Rice University Station, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hermann Park/Rice University Station. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello MattFisher! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 9 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 1,095 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

Disambiguation link notification for April 21[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited The Boardwalk at Ira Needles Boulevard, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Staples (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Call for Algonquin College's Campus Ambassador[edit]

Hello,

My name is Andrew. I'm the Regional Ambassador for the Canada Education Program. The goal of this program is to engage students and professors in using Wikipedia as a teaching tool. A professor from Algonquin College, which you indicated your affiliation with the college through your userpage, is participating in the program for Fall 2012 semester. We're seeking campus ambassadors, which we currently don't have for Algonquin College, who are available on-campus to help students. If you're interested (or have any other questions), please leave a message on my talk page. OhanaUnitedTalk page 03:21, 28 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article The Boardwalk at Ira Needles Boulevard has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Strip mall of questionable notability with poor sources and peacock language.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
