Abdul al Nigeri[edit]

I do not believe Abdul al Nigeri merits his own page at Wikipedia. Per WP:BLP1E, persons notable for a single event only should not have their own page, but rather should be mentioned at the page relating to the event. I had redirected this page to the event's article (In Amenas hostage crisis), but you have since undone that. Can we discuss this? WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 20:11, 25 February 2013 (UTC)

Well, I believe he is notable for two events, as stated on his page, and therefore should have his own page.

I don't believe he is notable for the Mauritanian attack; his involvement in that event is barely mentioned as a footnote in the single citation provided. If you can find more in depth coverage of his involvement in the Mauritanian attack, that might bolster notability. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 13:51, 28 February 2013 (UTC)
Ok, you are right. I thought he was notable enough for Wikipedia at first. There are sources that report on the attack in Mauritania, but there none of them spefically mention Nigeri.
