- I did find TMZ describing him as Bahamian-American [1], but on a YouTube clip [2] (at about 25 seconds in) he claims he grew up in Gadsden, Alabama and was born in 1952, not 1951 as his online bios say. Of course, other on-line bios could be copying from WP. 'Knowles' is a big surname in the Bahamas, but that's not real evidence. His WP bio does not currently give sources for his birthdate and locale. (I edited Beyounce's bio based on what her dad's WP bio says.) Mayumashu (talk) 21:04, 25 December 2012 (UTC)
