Could you put the tiebreaker column right after "Games behind"? It was formerly at the end until it was moved in the middle where it didn't make sense. –HTD 13:43, 26 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The template already has the tiebreaker column, which is placed next to GB column and is not in the middle. Just put parameter tie = yes and it will be displayed. Please see Example C at documentation page for its usage.  McVahl  Talk  14:04, 26 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry I wasn't clear. I was referring to the one-game playoff columns. These should be at the end, preferably after the "Tie" column. –HTD 16:15, 26 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I get it. Please give me some time to make adjustments, perhaps on weekends. Thanks.  McVahl  Talk  07:33, 27 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. Thanks. –HTD 11:52, 27 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
As requested, this template has been updated. See documentation for usage.  McVahl  Talk  02:27, 1 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Could you make the tie column a separate column from the playoff column? Preferable, the playoff column should be the rightmost one. –HTD 00:31, 19 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Updated. Please confirm if I have correctly applied what you want to achieve.  McVahl  Talk  05:41, 19 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. This is how it should look. –HTD 14:14, 19 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

2019 US Banknote Contest[edit]

US Banknote Contest
November-December 2019

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons.

In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.

If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here

Google Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks![edit]

Hello,

Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.

I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org, so we can invite you in!

From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.

If you have any questions, please let us know at google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org.

Thank you!

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:University of Santo Tomas logo.svg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:University of Santo Tomas logo.svg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 25 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2019 PCCL National Collegiate Championship, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Davao (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Shared /doc for tally templates[edit]

Sorry about Special:Diff/948476393. Non-existent {{PHL sports overall tally}} was causing miscategorization of {{PHL sports overall tally/doc}}. So {{PHL sports overall tally}} needs to exists to stop {{Documentation subpage}} reporting a missing template's page. —andrybak (talk) 07:07, 1 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It's okay. Noted for future reference. Thanks for creating {{PHL sports overall tally}} by the way. – McVahl (talk) 07:14, 1 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I recently removed a speedy delete tag that you had placed on Template:Transperth platform. I do not think that Template:Transperth platform fits any of the speedy deletion criteria  because it was an inappropriate use of WP:CSD#G6. If you wish, you may try using the full WP:TFD process, instead. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 08:09, 4 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Redrose64: If it is never used or transcluded, what is the proper deletion category then? – McVahl (talk) 10:22, 4 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
There isn't one. G6 is used far too often as a catch-all "none of the others fit" criterion. This is not its purpose. If you can't find a CSD criterion that explicitly covers the situation, that means that you can't use CSD and so it's XFD time. See WP:TFD#REASONS item 3 - if being unused were a valid CSD criterion, it would either link to the CSD page, or simply not mention it at all. If you look through the TFD page at the nominations that are currently open, you will find quite a few for unused templates. If a CSD criterion was applicable, surely those templates would have been CSD tagged. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 19:23, 4 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article List of Pinoy Big Brother: Unlimited housemates is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Pinoy Big Brother: Season 1 housemates until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Ajf773 (talk) 08:59, 6 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

UP UST off season games[edit]

Could you put the off season games in a different section inside the article? Those particular data make the infobox a lil bit bulky. I sometimes use an iPad, and from here, the infovox takes up half of the space of the article. Thank you! Pampi1010 (talk) 13:51, 7 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Pampi1010: Looking at other rivalry articles esp the good ones, they don't discuss that much about offseason games. Maybe I'll update UP–UST rivalry to remove those and our focus must be on regular events id est the UAAP.
Re: Attendance column in results - can we omit this? Unlike "Venue", Attendance data will never be complete for that list. It would be better to present the table only with available information for each entry in the list. – McVahl (talk) 06:41, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Re: Attendance: Okay. But could we replace it with another column instead? Just like the Ateneo-La Salle rivalry table? Pampi1010 (talk) 08:00, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Could you help me bulking this article up? University of Santo Tomas in popular culture Thank you! Pampi1010 (talk) 08:06, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Pampi1010: Which column in Ateneo-La Salle rivalry table? The “series” column? – McVahl (talk) 08:14, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I was referring to the Notes column instead.mPampi1010 (talk) 12:06, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Pampi1010: I'm OK with the replacement "Notes" column. But if notes can be presented in paragraph form or sectional content, you may consider rivalry articles that meet the Good Article (GA) criteria as the baseline. For example: Duke–Michigan men's basketball rivalry, Johns Hopkins–Maryland lacrosse rivalry, and Redbirds–Sounds rivalry. Thanks. – McVahl (talk) 13:03, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I specifically looked for those rivalry articles hehe. gonna review them. thanks! whats your major in ust? Pampi1010 (talk) 15:30, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
And also, you didn't have to delete the off-season tilts. They were nice added info that just did not look good in an iPad. Maybe you could bring them back? Thanks Pampi1010 (talk) 15:37, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The source for the results of the MBT games from 2001 to 2005 (and applicable to 2008) is a web archive http://ubelt.com/uaap/mbb/games.aspx. This archive is also cited in the La Salle - UST rivalry. I don't like how that article cited the source. In Johns Hopkins–Maryland lacrosse rivalry, they put their sources at the end of the table. Can I do that in UP-UST also? Can an archive be used as a source? However, not all of the results came from that web archive. Thank you! Pampi1010 (talk) 19:07, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
And can we just do this in the article's talk page? thank you! Pampi1010 (talk) 19:31, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

up to you[edit]

I realise you do not have to answer this at all... are you by chance a Perth resident? It would be interesting to know as we (some editors here in Perth) about to start (when conditions allow) meeting in Perth on a regular basis soon - and your improvements to WA maps are in fact part of our plan - to improve maps as much as possible from some of the 10 year old items that are truly by now redundant. As I say up to you, but it would be interesting if you were able to catch up. Thanks for your map improvements as well... JarrahTree 08:29, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@JarrahTree: I used to. I am no longer residing in Australia for over five years but my interest in Australian-related contents (especially WA) is still intact. :) – McVahl (talk) 08:38, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
thanks for replying - JarrahTree 08:43, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
There is a complex narrative re the regions of western australia - the regions, the maps and things - can do if you are interested... JarrahTree 13:55, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
if you are not - that is no problem - before the virus, there had been a gradual transforming of some region articles and locations to utilise OSM (as part of the wiki club west projects ) - I assume you know or have used OSM - and the addition of your versions complement that well as it is likely that some readers/users might not be able to utilise OSM - so the parallel sets of maps are in my mind making the regional projects and articles probably the most accessible of the states in oz - in relation to understanding regions - as well as being veryimportant in the recent restrictions of movement in the state ... so thanks for your set - and editing  !! JarrahTree 07:25, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. Yeah.. I just realised the initial versions of SVG maps didn't match well to that of OSM (in terms of map boundaries), so I made some recent adjustments to SVGs such that they would look almost identical. – McVahl (talk) 07:31, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@JarrahTree: re: complex narrative – if you meant writing an “article prose”, well, I consider myself more as a visual contributor (i.e. images, SVG, maps, table presentation). If Wikipedia:WikiProject Western Australia needs creation/improvement of such kind of visuals, kindly indicate it on the project's to-do list and I’ll try to my best to contribute during free time. – McVahl (talk) 15:09, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
thanks for that, appreciate the offer, I am sure there will be something in the near future that would be of help... JarrahTree 15:13, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds great. Please do not hesitate to give me a heads up. I just got lot of free time lately because of this virus. Sigh. – McVahl (talk) 15:15, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
the methodical and measured approach as shows up in my watch list today is what is very much appreciated (railway station format) - thorough cleanups are what some editors call 'boring' - but hey the long term effect is very good ! JarrahTree 07:52, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It is great to see most Journey Beyond stations converted to Adjacent Stations. I have recently also done the stations in New South Wales and have just done the Southern Cross railway station leaving Ararat and North Shore as the only two stations still to be done which hopefully I can do with the next week. There appears to be still a problem inTemplate:Rail-interchange where I think there is an entry in Victoria (Melbourne) which needs updating - | adelaide | the overland | overland | gsr | great southern rail =[[The Overland|<span style="color:#{{GSR color|The Overland}};font-size:120%;line-height:100%">●</span>]] which I think needs changing to <nowiki>color:#{{rcr|Journey Beyond|The Overland}}Fleet Lists (talk) 08:44, 18 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank You for your prompt reply yesterday. Ararat railway station and North Shore railway station have now been updated so that should allow the GSR templates to be deleted after you request has been implemented. Will you arrange their deletion? Also I was rather interested in why your request was initially declined. Last Saturday I requested a large change to update the Sydney section where I used rcr throughout and this was implemented without question within three hours without any questions see [1]. Fleet Lists, because the initial edit request violates WP:BRINT. It is preferred to use {{rail color}} over its redirect {{rcr}}. Dunno why the template editor set TPER |answered=yes without applying it to live version, hence I lost track of it. Yes, noted on the deletion. – McVahl (talk) 02:39, 20 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Upload svg logo for Open Universities Australia[edit]

Hi! I hope this is not too cheeky, but I noticed you updated the Australian National University logo, and I need help with the very similar task of updating the OUA logo please for the same type of usage.
The updated file will be used on the Open Universities Australia, English Wikipedia in the infobox at the top of the article discussing OUA - a subject of public interest.
OUA's current logo can be found on the OUA website, https://www.open.edu.au/-/media/alchemy/providers/oua
The file's summary and licensing information is the same as other uni logos as per the ANU logo wikipedia file page File:Australian National University coat of arms.svg

With thanks, --Bmwoua (talk) 00:55, 4 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Help with a new article[edit]

Hi! I made this article - Awards and prizes of the University of Santo Tomas, yesterday, and published it without any sources. I thought it was okay since I put { { under construction } } on top of the article, but the following morning, it was trasferred here: Draft:Awards and prizes of the University of Santo Tomas. I have edited it significantly since then, and I think its already qualified to be published. However, according to a reminder, there's a minimum of 4 months before it gets to the surface. So, do you think I can just hmm remove all the { { } } and publish it again? Or perhaps just rename the article altogether? Anyway, if you are somehow weirded out with the scope of my new article, I patterned this after the Oxford and Cambridge articles, like most of my new UST articles. I just like creating and creating UST articles! Thank you! Pampi1010 (talk) 14:35, 27 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Help with the Colleges of UST article[edit]

Hi! Could you help me edit the Colleges of the University of Santo Tomas? In the College insignias section, I want to split the Names in Filipino, Spanish, Latin header into two, so I can put Nicknames below it. And I want to split all the rows below it into 2. So it would appear like this:

Names in Filipino, Spanish, Latin
- - - -
Nicknames
- - - -
Filipino: Pakultad ng Panggagamot at Pagtitistis
Spanish: Facultad de Medicina y Cirugia
Latin: Facultas Medicinae et Chirurgiae
- - - -
FMS, Med

I just know how to! I have searched high and low, but I really cant do it. Also, I am currently editing this: Draft:Thomasian Welcome Walk. I would need your help on this one too. Thanks again! Pampi1010 (talk) 17:00, 1 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
