Image tagging for Image:AB GP 1.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:AB GP 1.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. License tagging for Image:AB JUL.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:AB JUL.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 19:05, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Christopher "Chris" Farmer[edit]

Nuvola apps important.svg

A tag has been placed on Christopher "Chris" Farmer requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Proposed deletion of Christopher "Chris" Farmer[edit]

Nuvola apps important yellow.svg

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Christopher "Chris" Farmer, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Orange Mike | Talk 17:26, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

Hickory Springs ‎[edit]

Thank you for creating the article on Hickory Springs. Please consider expanding it by discussing controversies that the company has been involved with. I added a number of references to the article. Perhaps you will be able to add more. -- Eastmain (talk) 23:52, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

Education in Hickory[edit]

You mentioned that you had been the education reporter for a newspaper in Hickory. Could you please take a look at the articles on Hickory's schools and school districts, and expand them if you think it appropriate? Elementary, middle and junior high schools are normally discussed in the article on their school district rather than in their own article. Again, please include references when you add potentially controversial information to an article. -- Eastmain (talk) 23:52, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

The concern, based on the pattern of your edits, is that you appear to have some sort of connection to beachboysband.com, inc., since your edits all seem to be Beach Boys-related. --Orange Mike | Talk 16:41, 4 September 2009 (UTC)

I can see your edits weren't made unconstructively. Blanking a page often raises eyebrows though. So, in the future, please make a redirect on the page in question and forward it to the correct page. Ecopetition (talk) 18:12, 4 September 2009 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open![edit]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
