Speedy deletion of The SHINee World

[edit]

A tag has been placed on The SHINee World requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. roux   02:54, 28 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nice work and questions on the Liancourt Rocks article, ive added another section if you could help me out it would be appreciated. Im currently trying to find SCAP docs and the succeeding docs relating to your questioning also. Thanks --CorrectlyContentious 08:23, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

Re: Shinee

[edit]

If you look at the dates from when I requested the move and when I move the main article, then you'd see it was only after User:TJ Spyke pointed out WP:MOSTM that I insisted that the main article should remain as "Shinee" and not "SHINee" (Moon) and (Sunrise) 20:08, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oookay, I understand. Thank you for reminding me. RageAgainstTheWikiMachine (Pen name of Mydoctor93) 23:55, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re:WP:NOWRITE

[edit]

Might be, but we can't do anything more than reverting, can we? Just keep it in your watchlist :)–Capricorn42 (talk) 13:49, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Unconstructive edit has been reverted

[edit]

I've reverted you. People editing that list have degraded into violations of no personal attacks and generally being dolts. Not to mention the many things which were repeated on that list. I think you're out of line in reverting me. Dr. Cash (talk) 00:40, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Whoops. I didn't bother to read the talk page before I clicked the page, and I won't be doing it again. Sorry. R.A.T.Baseball.M. (Pen name of Mydoctor93) 03:28, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Regardless of how justified or sourced the edits in question are; this is just a friendly warning that you're in danger of violating the three revert rule today. You might want to try and discuss the issue on the talk page, the article's contentious enough without edit warring, and you might get yourself blocked. Thanks. ~ mazca t|c 14:36, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Cancel that, looks like you got blocked for it already. Apologies for the misleading post. ~ mazca t|c 14:39, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

My status about the block

[edit]

I do not think that I did the right thing by edit warring some hours ago. I made a mistake in that, and I know that I should have tried the talk page in the first place. I'm just going to take this as an opportunity to take a short break from editing Wikipedia, as it's been interfereing with my real life these recent times.

See you some days later (probably six). P.R.O.C.K.Y. (Mydoctor93) 22:53, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I was thinking about this matter a little more. And I decided that although I may need to take a break from Wikipedia, the block was a little unlucky incident for myself. That is why I decided to appeal my block.

Again, see you later. P.R.O.C.K.Y. (Mydoctor93) 00:35, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

{{unblock|I was trying to maintain POV in the article, and I have learnt from this incident that there were other ways to maintain POV other than edit warring. I did not know the Arbitration probation at the time, but now I do. I promise I will follow it from now on.}}

Ok, the article sanctions specifically say that edit warring can be punished by a topic ban, and editors violating these bans can be blocked. So I'm hereby banning you from editing the Liancourt Rocks article for 1 week (note the extension) starting now, but you are welcome to contribute to discussions on the talk page in the meantime, and I'm lifting the block. In other words, make no edits to the article for 1 week. If you violate the ban you may be blocked again. Mangojuicetalk 17:38, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Rainism.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Rainism.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 06:12, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

NOTICE to all members of WikiProject Pokémon

[edit]

Following a discussion on the Project's talk page, we will be updating WikiProject Pokémon's list of participants. To do this, all users previously listed as "Active" have been moved to the "Inactive" list; after this change anyone may add/re-add their name to the "Active" participants list. As your name was one of those on the Active members list, I am notifying you in case your active interest remains. Thank you for your cooperation in our efforts to keep our list of active participants as accurate and up-to-date as possible. ~ Amory (usertalkcontribs) 04:26, 16 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
