Big East Basketball[edit]

I see you were very active in editing Connecticut Huskies men's basketball. You should create a 2008–09 Big East Men's basketball season like 2008–09 Atlantic Coast Conference men's basketball season or 2008–09 Big Ten Conference men's basketball season for the Big East since it is doing so well this year.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 05:52, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

Template:2009-10 NCAA Division I FBS football conferences[edit]

You seem like someone who has editorial interests that go along with creating an Big East page to fill in {{2009-10 NCAA Division I FBS football conferences}}.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 21:30, 27 September 2009 (UTC)

RfC on use of "Connecticut" versus "UConn" for University of Connecticut athletic teams[edit]

A Request for Comment has been opened concerning whether to use "Connecticut" or "UConn" in the names of articles and categories about University of Connecticut athletic teams. You are invited to comment here: Category talk:UConn Huskies#RfC on use of "Connecticut" versus "UConn" for University of Connecticut athletic teams. As a frequent editor of UConn football articles, I thought you would in particular be interested. Grondemar 22:34, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Frazer[edit]

Hi there, firstly, great work on the UCONN articles. They are great. Anyway, I am a bit concerned about the notability of Zach Frazer. As of right now, he probably does not meet any of the requirements of notability and I doubt he will be drafted, which would also make him notable. I am not sure, but I don't think he has won any awards and I know he wasn't 1st or 2nd team all-Big East this year. Can you do anything to establish his notability here? Thanks--TM 15:32, 12 December 2010 (UTC)

Proposed new WikiProject University of Connecticut[edit]

Uconn logo1.png

You are cordially invited to join the newly-proposed WikiProject University of Connecticut, designed to promote collaboration and improvement on UConn-related articles on Wikipedia. Specifically, the following articles are proposed to be within the new WikiProject's scope:

  • The University itself, including the campuses, notable buildings, notable academic programs, and notable professors;
  • The Connecticut Huskies athletic teams, including the men's basketball, women's basketball, and football teams, their coaches, players, facilities, and history;
  • Notable alumni, including both athletes and non-athletes.

Currently no one WikiProject covers all UConn-related content:

WikiProject University of Connecticut, when created, will be a centralized location to coordinate monitoring and improvement of UConn-related articles.

To comment on the proposed creation of the new WikiProject University of Connecticut, click here. To join the proposed WikiProject, click here, as the membership list is transcluded directly on the proposal page. Thank you for your attention, and GO HUSKIES! Grondemar

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

As you may have already heard, the Wikipedia community lost an invaluable member of the community last month. Adrianne Wadewitz was a feminist scholar of 18th-Century British literature, and a prolific editor of the site. As part of a worldwide series of tributes, New England Wikimedians, in conjunction with local institutions of higher learning, have created three edit-a-thons that will be occurring in May and June. The events are as follows:

We hope that you will be able to join us, whether you are an experienced editor or are using Wikipedia for the first time.

ArbCom elections are now open![edit]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
