Hello, NauNicole, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I notice that one of the first articles you created appears to be an article about yourself. This is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself, making sure to stay within user page guidelines. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.

The page you created about yourself has been or will shortly be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, but if you want to use the content from it, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Clubmarx (talk) 06:01, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

March 2010[edit]

You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you. Clubmarx (talk) 06:02, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Clubmarx, I have started writing in articles in the german enciclopedy about tango, dance, and also put in two new articals about the dancers Nau and Pereyra
I had to proof that these dancers are relevant enogh. But this was not too dificult (Book author, own stamps in argentina, danced on Broadway, etc)
The articles I have worked in have been
1. Chacarera
2. Tango
3. Luis Pereyra
4. Nicole Nau
I have been asked to write es objective as possible, which I have done.
Other authors have corrected these articles.
Now they have been accepted in the german wikipedia and I thought I could just translate them to enter also in the english wikipedia.
But I see, it is not working that way. Here rules are very different.I am sorry, I did not like to disturb anybody
The "mistake" was, that the first translation what has got ready was the one of myself.
So do I have to take it back? and start writing other articles before entering the article about Nicole Nau. Or is there a posibility to get it corrected to enter in the right conditions?
Please let me know
I am waiting for your answer
When it is not ok to keep it in, please let me know, then I take it back.
With kind regars NauNicole--NauNicole (talk) 20:46, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The article does have good references and I removed the peacock tag as those terms were removed. It is still not a good idea to create an article about yourself. Are you in fact the Nicole Nau? I'll leave the helpme tag on there, so someone else can comment. Clubmarx (talk) 20:56, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Clubmarx thank you for your fast help and your kindness. Tomorrow I will have already the article of somebody else, not myself. I am so sorry that I have started with my own one. Just because it was already done... My idea is to write and help in Dancearticles and articles about argentinean culture. For me as german, always it will be more easy to create chapters in german first and later translate them to english. I would be very glad, we could aprouve this article. In the german Wikipedia it has already been approved on Verifiability, Neutral Point of view and relvance. As I already told, it is just the translation of the already aproved article. Thank you again! - and yes, I am the Nicole Nau NauNicole--NauNicole (talk) 21:26, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I can remove the COI tag since it is well sourced and there aren't any controversial parts. However, in the future please stay away from creating articles about subjects where you are personally involved. Clubmarx (talk) 21:31, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello ClubmarxI thank you very much for your help. In the future I will just write about dance and others, not about personal matters. I understand very well the politic. Thank you for your help! I am new here and I really like to learn. There will be a lot to agree in dance articles! I really would like to help to make pages and articles better NauNicole--NauNicole (talk) 04:46, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

...but, if it is regarding Nicole Nau, please read WP:AUTO. Cheers,  Chzz  ►  21:10, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

hello  Chzz  - yes my question is in fact about the Nicole Nau page. I have created this article in the german Wikipedia as one of several ones and now translated it. In the german Wikipedia it has already got prooved in neutral point of view, Veribility and relevance. I hope there is a way to get it corrected in the right way to keep it. I already told that I am sorry that I posted my "own" article first. it was just, because it was the first translation which got ready. I am so sorry! If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
