An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Clouded leopard, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page 2000s (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

At this page you wrote:

The examples in the article seem to me to have been contrived specifically for the purpose of demonstrating that dependence without correlation is possible.

This brings to two the number of persons writing on that page who missed the point of the article with such stunning completeness. This makes me suspect this would be a commonplace misunderstanding among those who don't know this subject. This is not a good example for illustrating that point because far simpler examples exist. I regret that I did not respond to your comment on that page. The point of the examples is to illustrate that the assumption of JOINT rather than separate normality cannot be dropped from the proposition that JOINTLY normal uncorrelated random variables are independent. The article illustrates something about joint normality. Michael Hardy (talk) 17:39, 16 August 2018 (UTC)
