Kirkcaldy Pictures

[edit]

I just wanted to let you know, if it was you who took the original picture of St Brycedale Avenue for the further education sub-section. If so, i decided to remove it, when i was adding my 30+ submitted photos on the page, since the photo didn't show the actual building. No hard feelings, if it was.

Still i really like those three other pictures you submitted on the page particularly the Volunteer's Green one. I was influenced by this when i submitted my first one of the Kirkcaldy Civic Society plaque of the old town house and clock site 1827-1935. So thank you and if there is anything i can do for you, then i would be very grateful or vice versa. Kilnburn (talk) 20:05, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

right, that's fine. well i'm not going to add another picture for the article, because it has enough on it's plate and most of Kirkcaldy's landmarks have been noted-streets, buildings, churchs and education campuses. that was my intention, it was just to give the article a huge boost and a bit of credibility that was truly lacking (in spite of the healthy loaded Glenrothes article). nobody showed much enthuasism, so i decided to do it myself and so it could keep a better line with fellow Scottish towns this way.

anyway, don't worry about those pictures for the Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy article. i'll do these myself Kilnburn (talk) 17:58, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

i've just noticed that the War Memorial Gardens picture is stated with showing the entrance to the library, it's actually the Art Museum and Gallery one. just to let you know Kilnburn (talk) 10:03, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

anyway, it was only last night when i saw your comment on the picture shuffle. with the Uni of Dundee Kirkcaldy Campus picture, even though i liked it there i didn't there was enough info to justify a picture and thought it was more a nuisance that way. so that's fine and you know, i never thought of it as a dull red-brick building before.

but the problem i felt was more in the Shopping and Leisure section where two of the pictures clashed together, hence why i put one on the left and one on the right to relieve this and for the text to seam through. if you feel at a later date the sheriff court building should be moved into the pictures section, then i'll understand. thanks again Kilnburn (talk) 23:14, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

copy editing work on the Kirkcaldy article

[edit]

hello, njan

just me here to say if you won't mind (and especially if you have enough time on your hands) to look over the Kirkcaldy article and do some copy editing work.

you might be aware you might not, but i recently completed a revamp of the article with lots of new sources, info and some pictures although this needs a good tidy-up before i put it under a peer review. i would like to try and aim for FA status if i can.

p.s. i had to remove your pictures. with the Adam Smith 220 High Street one in particular, there was not enough space in Famous people, once i removed the bulk of information to insert it. i may in the future re-write that section again and put it back in, depending on the outcome of the propable peer review.
