Re: David G. McAfee[edit]

Hello Njbru. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Your recent edit to David G. McAfee to change scholar to graduate here. Is an example of what I consider a good edit. It was properly supported in the edit summary.

I am led to wonder why you would describe Nicholas Joseph Bruzzese as "agnostic biblical scholar" or Bruzzese and Vela as "biblical scholars".[1] I haven't found any published material by either, much less contributions to peer reviewed journals, nor any WP:RS that identifies either as scholars or mentions them.

I can't help but notice a similarity between your user name and the Bruzzese's. You are entitled to your anonymity on WP and I am not asking you your identity. I am suggesting that if you have a relationship with Bruzzese that any edits you make in relation violate WP:COI. If you do have a relationship with Bruzzese and wish to contribute material related to him, the appropriate procedure would be to propose the edit on the talk page of the article. After discussion another editor might choose to include the suggested material. Regardless of relationship the use of "up and coming"[2] is clearly WP:Peacock.

The use of FaceBook as a reference [3] is generally discouraged. I left it in place but restored the other reference with archive. - - MrBill3 (talk) 04:47, 29 August 2013 (UTC)
