Help with Possible Persian Speaking User[edit]
Hi! I was wondering if you could help me communicate with User:Tatobay.weekly as they haven't been editing in English at all. I wanted to let s/he know about Wikipedia policies but after not getting a response from inquiring about their username, I am not sure if they would understand me if I commented in English. So I was wondering if maybe you can perhaps communicate in Persian (if that is indeed the language s/he is speaking) to see if that gets a response.
I came here per the suggestions made at Wikipedia:Reference desk/Language#Help with Possible Arabic, Persian, or Dari speaking user and tried to find a Persian speaker that was still active. I would appreciate any help (even if it is just to confirm whether it is Persian or not). Thanks for your time, LlamaDude78 (talk) 20:48, 6 September 2012 (UTC)
Hi LlamaDude78! S/He is probably speaking either Pashto or Balochi. Unfortunately, I couldn't understand what he had written in his talk page and one of my Pakistani friends could verify that it's not Urdu. Query about Persian adminship[edit]
Hello, Nolan. I see that on your user page you say "I'm an administrator in the Persian Wiki". However, I have not been able to confirm that. For example, https://fa.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=ویژه%3Aفهرست_کاربران&username=Nojan&group=&limit=1 does not say that you are an administrator, whereas I would expect it to do so, as, for example, https://fa.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=ویژه%3Aفهرست_کاربران&username=Taranet&group=&limit=1 Tells us that Taranet is an administrator. Can you explain why what you say on your English Wikipedia user page does not appear to agree with what the Wikipedia logs tell me? - After I had posted the message above, I realised that you must have a different username for the Persian Wikipedia, but it didn't occur to me to look for an interwiki link. If you are interested, the reason why I was asking is to do with Nazaninan, who was claiming that you were a vandal. I see that you have blocked that account on Persian Wikipedia: [1]. Well before I saw your answer to my question above, it had become clear to me that Nazaninan's word was not to be trusted, but when the accusation was first made, I didn't know that, and I wanted to check that your claim to be an administrator was valid, and not part of the vandalism that you were accused of. - You're welcome JamesBWatson. Maybe you can help me with this user. She has made several sock puppets in our wiki and has used them to influence deletion nominees and recreating deleted articles. I wanted to talk to a steward, but now that you're here, maybe you can investigate the use of Nazaninan puppet to remove the deletion request from Mobina sadat atashi. - I have nominated the article for deletion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mobina sadat atashi (2nd nomination). You may wish to take part in the discussion there. I agree that the accounts look like sockpuppets, but I don't at present see enough evidence on English Wikipedia to take any action. If I see a little more evidence here, then I will be willing to allow the history on fa.wikipedia to tip the balance in favour of a block, but my experience suggests that blocking almost entirely on the basis of what has happened on another Wikipedia, without at least a significant amount of corroborating evidence on en.wikipedia, is not normally considered acceptable. Having said that, please do let me know on my talk page if you do see any further evidence. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 10:53, 10 March 2014 (UTC)

The article Ghasem Hajizadeh has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
