Artistshare vs. Kickstarter[edit]

Hi Nowa, I have updated the "Patent dispute" section here. Any further improvement welcome... Thanks. --Edcolins (talk) 20:37, 21 February 2015 (UTC)

Looks good. Thanks for the update.--Nowa (talk) 03:46, 23 February 2015 (UTC)

Patents[edit]

You no like tombstone of Mary?--Doug Coldwell (talk) 14:49, 8 September 2015 (UTC)

But you did like 1836 U.S. Patent Office fire that I created.--Doug Coldwell (talk) 15:04, 8 September 2015 (UTC)
And I created 1877 U.S. Patent Office fire.--Doug Coldwell (talk) 16:51, 8 September 2015 (UTC)
Did You Know that Abraham Lincoln was the only U.S. president to have a registered patent to an invention?--Doug Coldwell (talk) 16:51, 8 September 2015 (UTC)
Nothing personal. It looked like spam for find-a-grave. If you had your own photo of the grave and wanted to put it up, that would be fine. Or if you could otherwise show that the grave is notable.--Nowa (talk) 20:25, 8 September 2015 (UTC)
O.K., meanwhile my latest articles I created are Hartford Electric Light Company and Mary-Ann (turbine generator). A few days ago I created Woman's World's Fair and Shelby Gem Factory.--Doug Coldwell (talk) 21:25, 8 September 2015 (UTC)
Chester H. Pond was an American inventor I created an article on last month. What name do you have your patents under?--Doug Coldwell (talk) 21:48, 8 September 2015 (UTC)
Interesting articles. Thanks. I'm not sure I understand the question though.Nowa (talk) 00:44, 9 September 2015 (UTC)
  • On your User Page it says An inventor in my own right, with 17 issued US patents in the fields of chemical engineering and mechanical engineering. = the 17 patents are under what name, should I look in Google Patents. I'm interested to see what you do.--Doug Coldwell (talk) 10:27, 9 September 2015 (UTC)

Nomination of Re-NewsIt! for deletion[edit]

Re-NewsIt![edit]

Nowa, I've tried to identify some additional references but the depth of coverage is not substantial, it seems. --Edcolins (talk) 16:54, 16 September 2015 (UTC)

I agree. I searched pretty diligently myself and what's in there was the best I could find. The main reason I created the article was to keep a discussion of Re-NewsIt! out of Shaun King (activist) and provide what reliable information was available to an interested viewer. If other editors shared the same view, it might have survived, but unfortunately, most interested editors are more concerned about giving "a wingnut blog" too much notability by virtue of being in Wikipedia.--Nowa (talk) 18:05, 16 September 2015 (UTC)

patent weapon[edit]

Nowa - Sorry I didnt see your note until after I had already put it back in. As I said in the talk page - I think the addition is factual - even if the paper's claims turn out to be wrong. There is some evidence - I think it should be included and people can look at the evidence themselves. I dont know of any 'smoking gun' type data that proves it - but the trend is certainly suspicious. -- Rety2w (talk) 13:33, 29 November 2015 (UTC)

Cloem[edit]

Hi Nowa. Could you perhaps have a look at the article Cloem, a little-known company apparently creating computer-generated claims, "based upon a client’s submitted claim set"[1]? The Afd I initiated failed. Apparently, there would be "non-trivial sources," but the article is stuffed with original research... --Edcolins (talk) 18:36, 5 December 2015 (UTC)

Will do. Give me a couple of days.--Nowa (talk) 23:19, 5 December 2015 (UTC)
Thanks. --Edcolins (talk) 17:32, 6 December 2015 (UTC)
Many thanks! --Edcolins (talk) 20:22, 9 December 2015 (UTC)

Original research[edit]

Hi Nowa. If you have a minute, could you have a look at the discussion on the Talk:3Com_3c509 page? The issue is about whether adding a section entitled "Patents" in an article about a network card is appropriate, when the only source backing the content within the section is text provided onto the network card itself. To me, the mere inclusion of the section violates WP:OR, but I would interested in having your opinion about this. Thanks. --Edcolins (talk) 15:58, 10 April 2016 (UTC)

Hi Ed. I think the section is OK. I left a comment on the talk page. The other editor was being obnoxious, but hey, that's what turning the other cheek is all about.--Nowa (talk) 21:33, 10 April 2016 (UTC)
Thanks! --Edcolins (talk) 19:48, 11 April 2016 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for April 13[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Rachel Dolezal, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Today Show (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Speedy deletion nomination of Gambitious[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Gambitious requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Mduvekot (talk) 18:39, 17 May 2016 (UTC)

You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:48, 24 May 2016 (UTC)

patent and IP article[edit]

Thank you for the pointer.

The law article is in print as I got it in the mail - but I posted the authors' preprints so others could read it. The printed one is behind a paywall - should I post that as well? https://litigation-essentials.lexisnexis.com/webcd/app?action=DocumentDisplay&crawlid=1&doctype=cite&docid=89+St.+John%27s+L.+Rev.+1185&srctype=smi&srcid=3B15&key=8d1d8e833f442e7bcc6c7f108ad3b0df

Can you revert the deletions?

Thanks Trumpms (talk) 03:50, 17 August 2016 (UTC)

I went ahead an reinserted the material for the patents article. I'll let you do the others. I made changes to the reference to link to both the published version and the preprint.--Nowa (talk) 22:41, 17 August 2016 (UTC)

Nowa - thank you for your help on the patent article - your experience and reasonableness are much appreciated. I cant find where you moved the discussion of the levine book in the talk page?--Trumpms (talk) 12:38, 20 August 2016 (UTC)

Thanks - it is very odd - when I am on the talk page I can see the heading but not the note-- I clicked edit and responded but I cant see my own edit either...Trumpms (talk) 13:56, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
