This IP has been blocked as an open proxy since March 2009. You susseeded in posting an edit to The Game in August of this year. You were therefore editing at that time, perfectly legally, from a different IP. Can you not just keeo on doing that? We cannot unblock an open proxy. --Anthony.bradbury"talk" 22:41, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I don't fully understand the whole of the blocking policy, but my major question is why can't I edit from my current address while logged into my own account, shouldn't being logged in be enough verification to allow me to edit? I have no contol over the IP address my ISP assigns to me, so in the current state of things my ablity to edit drops in and out basically at random. — Odin_son 02:47, 3 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I might consider granting IPBE here ... can't see much evidence of misconduct. On the other hand there are less than 50 edits here, and the user made most of them over two years ago, and until this unblock request hadn't edited since August. Have you been trying to edit since then? Daniel Case (talk) 05:40, 3 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think I have made a few edits while not logged in when my IP was different, but until today not a lot. I don't contribute new content very often, usually I just make small corrections. Today, I was in an article that had a list of books, only one of them didn't have a link to the specific book's page, I was trying to add said link. — Odin_son 06:37, 3 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Scanned, tested, nothing found, very unlikely it's still an open proxy, especially after 9 months. Q T C 07:55, 3 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
