Hi Oneblindmouse: I saw your note at Materialscientist's user talk page and noticed you hadn't been welcomed here, so I thought I should do that and explain about the Shambolic article.

First of all, the work you and others did has been reverted, but it hasn't been permanently deleted; if you go to that page and click on the "History" tab, you'll see a list of all the changes everyone has made to the article. Clicking on a date and time shows you what it looked like at that particular point; clicking on "diff" to the left of any date and time shows you what that person changed in that edit and then at the bottom, what the page looked like with that change.

Materialscientist reverted the article back to a redirect to our sister Wikimedia project, Wiktionary, because all articles here need to have references to demonstrate that the topic is notable enough for an article (and also so that the reader can find more information). Has the band been covered in the newspapers or on online music sites? Have their performances and recordings received reviews other than in personal blogs? Here is a link to a brief summary of the criteria for an article; and here are specialised criteria for bands, like having charted and having released more than one album on a major label. If Shambolic meet any of these criteria, collect together the references, and you may want to create the new article at Draft:Shambolic first (click on that link) and have it reviewed through our articles for creation process, where experienced Wikipedians advise on whether the article is ready before it gets added to main space.
