I have nominated Journal of Surgical Radiology, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Journal of Surgical Radiology. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Template removal[edit]

Hi, I notice that you have removed the AfD template on Sapan Desai and have blanked the deletion discussion. From your contribution record I see that although you have been on WP for many years, you are not a regular contributor and therefore perhaps not familiar with WP procedures for AfD ("Articles for Deletion"). In fact, the removal/blanking is generally considered to be vandalism and can be sanctioned by a block, prohibiting you from editing. I suggest that you undo these actions yourself, to show your good faith.

Clearly you do not agree with the deletion proposal. What you should do then is to familiarize you with Wikipedia's notability guidelines (and also the specialized notability guidelines linked in the AfD nomination). Once you have done that, it would be good if you could provide some independent, reliable sources to establish notability of the article's subject. Finally, based on this, you can then participate in the debate and vote "keep" (but note: WP:NOTAVOTE, that's why people write "!vote"). You will find that when good arguments are presented, many editors will revert their positions (and often the nominator will withdraw the nomination, I have done so myself quite often). Of course, if people are not convinced by the sources that are presented, they may stick to their "delete" position and the closing admin may still decide to delete that article, but to decide this is what this discussion is for.

I hope that you will reconsider your last few edits and participate constructively in the debate. The foregoing applies of course not only to Sapan Desai, but also to the Journal of Surgical Radiology. In the latter case I must warn you, though, that I have almost never seen a completely new journal being kept at AfD.

Hope this helps! --Crusio (talk) 13:47, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
