Fair use rationale for Image:Old Shakhtar Stadium.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Old Shakhtar Stadium.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ricky81682 (talk) 08:43, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:BorysfenBoryspil.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:BorysfenBoryspil.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 19:04, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Nyva-Vinnytsya.png[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:Nyva-Vinnytsya.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

I've added a generic rationale. I think it doesn't need to be anything special, just needs to say that it's used to illustrate the article, and it's good to mention that the site is defunct. I don't know about a source. Maybe if you could remember the old URL you could add it. I'd don't mind meeting you half way because I'm not out to have images deleted, just "fixed". I tried to find the image elsewhere so that I could link to it, but I couldn't find it. I'll leave that part to you. Thanks Rossrs (talk) 07:34, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
Thanks. I didn't think of searching for it by the file name. That fixes it. I've added the source to the page, and all is well with the world. Cheers Rossrs (talk) 07:56, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Vorskla-Poltava.png, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Hi Palffy[edit]

Hello Palffy,

I am really appreciated to be able to reach you. Hope you do fine mate.

I would be grateful to you if you could help me to know on a spot. I saw your beautiful work on Ukranian Premier League, masterpiece! I would love to add a map as well for Turkish League but I am not very capable on table and picture works. Could you inform me how you create the image including Ukraine map and locations of the clubs, please?

Thank you so much, Cheers...

Hi Palffy,

I am so sorry that I was not able to reach you on time. I have some busy work and school schedule until early june, that means I can not log in wiki frequently.

I checked both maps you shared with me and French one looked much better to me. Also, I checked some other regarding articles across the Europe and they generally have similar style of the French sample.
I also look forward to have your tutorials or any navigations for me to create this sort of map samples! Please keep in touch...
Best wishes... --Umi1903 (talk) 11:07, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Pakhtakor Tashkent.gif)[edit]

Ambox warning blue.svg Thanks for uploading Image:Pakhtakor Tashkent.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. Image copyright problem with Image:Shakhtar.newlogo.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Shakhtar.newlogo.png. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Information.svg Hello Palffy! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 2,868 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

File permission problem with File:Stal Stadium.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Stal Stadium.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 13:07, 12 April 2015 (UTC)
