Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Beanerlong", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it includes Beaner, which is an ethnic slur in some cultures. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. Daniel Case (talk) 12:04, 12 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]
This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because your username, Beanerlong, contains an ethnic slur, even if you didn't intend it that way.

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you feel that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Danger High voltage! 18:38, 30 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is not available I would be fine with anything else... I don't care anymore if you would not like me to contribute to this great website I don't care anymore. I would really like to keep my name but as I say down below this is very frustrating.

I have a question why is my name a slur? I made it when I was little and my friends last name is long so I did beanlong but that was taken... so I added the -er in the middle and I think this is stupid that these young kids make up slang word and they ban them for the rest of us! I hope you can see what I am say and I am very irritated that you are making me change my name!

I agree that your username is only objectionable to a Mexican who takes offence at it; nevertheless, to avoid argument, I would appreciate it if you would accept the situation and change your name as agreed. I am unblocking you as I type. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 21:38, 2 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you... I will change my name because of your kind response. How do I do it?

For what it's worth, if young kids made up that particular slur they're well into their 70s by now. Danger High voltage! 00:20, 3 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
